    This happens a lot in sci-fi. For example, the interior sets of the Millenium Falcon in Star Wars would never in a million years fit inside the exterior set seen in A New Hope and Empire Strikes Back.

    The comparison is flawed. Not all classic Disney movies are inspired by folk/fairy tails anyhow and the ones that are AFAIK are in the public domain. Anyone can do anything they want with them. What we object to is this incessant need Hollywood has to take foreign films and "Robotech" them, adding in SPECIAL EFFECTS EXTRAVAGANZA (because only a movie with $100M worth of sfx can draw people, apparently) and then a white Hollywood lead actor because apparently people only go to see movies with named actors these days. And yes, we should care about who's involved in the project, A good cast and crew can make or break a movie.

    Someone told me this in another thread I think, or maybe earlier in this thread but there are Quick question for chapter 4: The codename for the jammer is "Strange Bear?" I'm also still a little confuzzled about Rod and Todo. I'm not sure of the particulars of Rod's rivalry with Leon. Oh and when exactly and how did Isamu get that custom YF-29? When Mina is giving her explanation of Yurva Arga after mission 4-3, what exactly is they disuse beyond Mina being a member of the previous inhabitants of Ouroboros and Yurva Arga being very dangerous? When you compete against Isamu for the first time, Mina says Isamu-san is really good (or words to that effect) and then Leon said something I didn't quite catch about Roy Focker?

    There was a Canadian councilor in one scene where Stacker Pentecost was talking to some politicians. So I would bet that Canada had some Jaegers at one point.

    Well, saw the 10 o' clock IMAX show of Pacific Rim. This is what I felt like when I came out of the Star Wars re-releases in 1997, when I saw Avengers, or when I saw Jurassic Park for the first time. Most particulalry, this is what i felt like when I went to see the Power Rangers movie 18 years ago. And Pacific Rim is what that movie should have looked like as well. Seriously, the only thing this movie was missing was someone screaming at the top of their lungs, I AM THE SWORD THAT CLEAVES EVIL!!
