  1. A quick question comes to my mind now: since the RVF-171 and RVF-25 use the same Aegis pack, is the dish antenna for the RVF-25 a custom-made design for Luca's bird ?. Any available data explaining the difference between both designs ?.
  2. D*mn, Xigfrid !. That's an awesome piece of VF there !. Finally somebody showed some love to those little VF-9s !. Keep'em coming!
  3. Awesome !. Thanks !.
  4. Anywhere to find this book ? (secretly crossing fingers for a positive answer)....
  5. Finally !. Can't wait to take a look at those Frankenstein-armored VF-31s.
  6. Not my work tough... but better than my work though I happen to like the vinyl backdrop used by Hasegawa for the official product photoshoots, it provides a good contrast and highlights details..... wonder where I could get one of those. I bet those signatures would make the price tag soar higher than the DX items
  7. VF-31F pictures are now out on http://www.hasegawa-model.co.jp/product/65844/. They came out sooner than expected.
  8. F-31F with & without Lil' Drakens pictures...
  9. Sortie No. 4 ... and VFMF for any other fighter... VF-11 maybe, or VF-17/-171 ?
  10. You're very welcome !. And congrats !!!. Have tons of fun with those new birds !!.
  11. I live in Florida but on the opposite corner of the state: Miami. Although unable to drive up North, I'm glad to extend a local Good Day To You as well, and to wish you to have a great time over here. !!!. Any plans of visiting the Air Force Armament Museum ?. It's on the outskirts of the town and entrance is free.
  12. I happen to like this config. Can't wait for Hasegawa to post the pictures of the assembled model.
  13. Yes, it can be built as the standard -31F, according to Hasegawa.
  14. ... and Hasegawa just destroyed each and every production forecasting attempt on this topic. Two Delta Movie's birds now on queue !
  15. Both models pre-ordered @ HLJ !!
  16. Just got into EBay and found out a considerable amount of Moonshooters kits posted for sale, coming from JP !. Not too long ago there was no way to find this kit below US$100. Whether japanese vendors unofficially know this one is being re-issued in the near future, or they are just over-reacting because of the Max's VF-22S announcement.
  17. Thanks a lot for the insight, @Xigfrid. FUD will be the way to go then. The same case over here, time is a high-priced commodity for me these days, so Sketchup will have to suffice. Good hint on up-scaling the model for ease of use and then exporting it at a fraction of the size. It will make my life easier. Thanks again !.
  18. Do these classify as a contingency stash ?. Some of them already evolved into Macross VFs but there are still interesting unused concepts in his work.
  19. Definitely !. I was very impressed with the sharpness of the panel lines on those missiles !. Can't wait to see them already painted. I only work on Hase's 1/72s, and a sharp panel-lining is critical for the details to be properly seen due to the small scale size (never got into 1/48s due to space constraints). Quick question: Based on your experience, is it worth to have the WSF polished instead of the raw one, money-wise (cost difference vs. costs associated to polishing by oneself and risks of breaking the part being reworked) ?. ... and a last one: What CAD software do you use ?. I'm starting to play with Sketchup due to its well-marketed simplicity and my lack of free time, but not sure if it is well-suited for 1/72-scale 3D printing.
  20. @Xigfrid , is this the WSF material ?. If so, these printouts look pretty neat !.
  21. Looking awesome, @Xigfrid
  22. Good point, @Xigfrid . Just my personal opinion: feel free to make them smaller. Loosely based on the description the VFMF gives, it seems to be an improvement over the -1A. And underwing loadout weight and volume reduction is something always considered as an improvement . An off-topic side note: Interesting thing that the ACSWS-1D was drawn with ordnance suspension lugs instead of a rail. So, no rail-launching capability for an A-A missile. Understandable for the Air launched cruise missile but intriguing for the -1D (better exercise extreme caution and check for enough altitude before launch on atmospheric operations, this one won't fly forward upon hitting the trigger, it will fall down and may hit the deck right below you... ).
