Couldn't help noticing it this morning as well, but Hasegawa hasn't announced the product line for March (nothing posted on Twitter either) as of this morning (EST).

Although I didn't bleed money for this -31C, I'm super glad Hasegawa is doing more regular re-runs. It gave me the chance of getting kits that were cost-prohibitive on EBay. A good sign of higher sales... and a hint of more resources to be directed to new product development at some point in time. Still dreaming about getting the Moon Shooters' VF-22S. Luckily we'll have it this year (Kei Nagase's ASF-X is coming back to the shelves, so hopes are really high ! ).

Makina-Themed VF-31C and DD Ivanov's Sv-51 re-issue planned for late February. I'm actually surprised this VF-31C is returning to production very quickly. It must be peaking sales charts.

There are indeed more moving parts than expected: folding tails, TVC nozzles... Hasegawa's assembly guides are self-explanatory for that matter, also flagging when there is an available option (Ex. 1-pc closed canopy vs. 2-pc open canopy) besides indicating when not to glue. Hobby Search has scans of the model's paperwork ( https://www.1999.co.jp/eng/10198937). Just look for the highlighted icons as per below snip.

Based on your warning and the below snip... uncertainty floods my brain about trying to tackle this model. I strongly believe I'll end up ordering another decal sheet.

Same here... this one was tough to crack. HLJ link is now active for "pre-order" https://hlj.com/1-72-scale-ace-combat-asf-x-shinden-ii-kei-nagase-color-ltd-hsg64702

They'll be re-issuing the photo-etched parts for the 1:48 VF-1 and YF/VF-19 this month. But no signs of new product development though.

... I'm definitely getting this one. The 'extra' feature on the Lil' Drakens adds interest, it omits the energy cannon (comparison details on below snips, from HLJ's link: hlj.com/product/HSG65846 and Hasegawa.co.jp). Worthy of mention: Hasegawa's price tags keep on climbing steadily. Hopefully, the exchange rates will help me out a little bit here.

October won't bee too productive for Hasegawa. No Macross-related content to be issued, out of only 11 items, as of today. Hopefully November will bring something really worthy of melting the wallet on it.

Which Macross Fleet would you be a part of?

The one that colonized Eden. -
A Super-packed VF-11 with underwing-loaded AMM-112SQ ? A VF-1 with VF-11's Super-Pack propulsion/HMM units ? ... and also AMM-112SQ loadouts ? I'm definitely going to like this Macross candy rush !

Thanks for the heads up, @kajnrig !. Might get this one if Hasegawa includes a big water decal of Ms. Nakajima I can use to dress ELINT radar dishes like the custom Catseye @PetarB did years ago. Always liked that idea.
-
Meanwhile at Hasegawa's NPD rooms... Makina Nakajima-liveried VF-31C for September. Props to @kajnrig for the scoop !!.

Awesome build !!.

1/48 YF-19 by scale-a-ton [With full build video!]

That was a build to enjoy !. Thanks for sharing it! -
I agree with you on the VF-17 not yielding enough material for the main character consideration, so the VF-171 should definitely take over. Softbank has already portraited its -11s and -171s on various VFMF books (even an RVF-171 !!). At least the 3D CAD work should be almost done (if not completely).
-
Pre-ordered. Same here, I was holding high hopes for a VF-11 or VF-17(1).
-
+1. Definitely classifies on the top 5 !. Best info I have on hand is the VF-0 Master File. This one belongs to the Space Proving Wing, but there were other serial numbers assigned to combat squadrons, probably on the roles you mentioned. Long range interception is another mission I've always envisioned a tandem seater for. Although the fact of the Phoenix being powered by two EGF-127s, purebred gas guzzlers, can be considered a major drawback for long-range missions (unless there's an available refueling spot every 5 or 6 miles ).

More limited edition items coming back to production !. VF-0B to be in stock by late August... At this rate, I'll be able to wrap hands around the Moonshooter's neck very soon !
