  1. Awesome box art from Tenjin Hidetaka, as usual !. I'm not into these colorful variants but have to agree they look great. Also, The paint/decal job on the pilot figure looks very detailed. On a side note, I'm actually surprised they 'forced' Hayate to wear a helmet this time. Always criticized the custom no-helmet EX-Gear rigging, as high-Gs pulling without a pressurized oxygen airflow is really hard to digest.
  2. Coming with a Superpacked -31S might go against Hasegawa's genuine double-dipping trend though. But they already went against it with the Dual-Lil'Drakened -31F. I was surprised seeing Messer's bird being issued with the add-ons prior to its barebone form.
  3. Yeeeaaahhh !!!. Finally we get new content (purportedly excluding the livery-optional items) !. Both new items are now available for pre-order @ HLJ already !. https://hlj.com/1-72-scale-vf-31e-siegfried-chuck-use-macross-delta-hsg65849 https://hlj.com/1-72-scale-vf-31f-siegfried-kaname-buccaneer-color-macross-delta-the-movie-hsg65850 Always wondered about the way Chuck bird's radome would be tackled. Liked the outcome. Now we're pending to see Arad's bird... with Superpacks on... maybe?
  4. @Seto Kaiba and @jvmacross, thank you for for the insight and images. No new hardware (except for the RMS-3, if applicable, as I don't recall seeing it mentioned in previous books), but couldn't help notice weapons from earliest to latest generations (except the heavyweight PaCSWS/ACSWS items) are being listed for the VF-11. I'm afraid I'll be putting a lot of burden on my phone's transgoogling app as soon as I get the book.
  5. Have mine collecting dust in the HLJ private warehouse, pending shipment consolidation. Does the book have the weapons loadout section ?. Anything interesting ?
  6. Coincidentally, there was a coffee-time debate at the office about new AA-capable UCAV developments like the Boeing's 'Loyal Wingman' project or the Russian 'Okhotnik-B' prototype (both controlled by a 'mother' aircraft), and everybody ended up agreeing about the human factor (i.e. physical strength/resistance) being a sort of hurdle on further achievements like hyper-maneuverability. The ISC idea quickly came to my mind... bringing back the human pilot to the game instead of pushing for more capable unmanned systems.
  7. Yupp, Overtechnology is always the perfect excuse for every out-of-whack numbers analysis. No complaints about it, though, always liked the 'light as a fighter but hard as a MBT'-alike ideas.
  8. Didn't pay attention to it before, but now noticed the "third" wing pylon always loaded with just a single ejector/rail for an AMM-1 instead of the usual triple rack. It seems they'll be covering the extra hardpoint with weight/space limits. A 'disected' gunpod (or both gunpods) would be great !!!!
  9. Actually, even with the forecasted delays, it would greatly surpass the frequency we get new Macross series, so it's still great news. Just an audient's point of view. Drooling time for me until release !!.... and look who is making an appearance !?!?!?
  10. These are awesome news !.
  11. .... Ghosts.... those elusive Ghosts that never end up being issued....... I'd be up for an order of 9 Ghosts at least (provided the kit box has 3 of those). Probably after the Armored Sigfrieds come out... which will be issued after the Super Sigfrieds... and so on...
  12. Yes, MtR was something worthy of an OVA. I hope they cover the topic on this new book, as well as the competition between the VF-11 and the VF-14 for the main variable fighter. Based on SBC trend to briefly depict the antagonist VF on each VFMF issue (well... on some of them), we might get in contact with a 3D-modeled VF/VA-14 for the first time (I might have missed it before).... just daydreaming a little bit. Additionally, some coverage of the Jenius family role on the testing phase would be greatly appreciated. There's a lot of thread related to the VF-11 to cut for this book. Hopefully, SBC won't 'drop the ball' this time.
  13. Off it goes !!
  14. Qassim's -262 was the one I thought to be combo'd with Herman's, but we got Bogue's instead . We might finally get it along with a pair of common Lil'drakens (not the jamming ones) since no Knight's -262Ba has been issued with them before (only Mirage's color had them on). +1: Chuck's Valk had better come with a deployed radome. +1000: Delta's all about the Valks (and also some fights too ) !!
  15. Interesting. Always found the three RMS-1-loaded pylons per wing sort of 'tight'. The dual RMS-1 pylon made more sense, especially for 0-G operations. Same thoughts on the five-pylon Su-25ish config for the VF-1. Likewise, I also found the VF-11 sleek and well designed, but ill-fated by the presence of the -19 and -22 in M+ and with a deep lack of love in M7. It was a taste of unfairness for it not to be given with a main role (except on Macross M3 ??), probably due to the huge time gap between the airing of SDFM and M+. Anyways, I'm also glad to finally see something fully dedicated to the Thunderbolt and can't wait to take a look at the weapons loadout, variants, and super pack sections of the upcoming book.
  16. Not only depicting three hardpoints per wing but also four of them loaded with heavyweight ordnance. Although unofficial, I always wondered why only four pylons on the VF-11 when the VF-1 has six. Truth to be told: I actually enjoyed the two additional hardpoints shown here.
  17. ... and we now have a cover for VFMF VF-11 !
  18. Same thoughts !.
  19. Probably from the onboard accelerometer and downlinking it to the production crew for real-time broadcast. Austrian pilot Hannes Arch (RIP) pulling 11.2 Gs below. I recall having seen G-Meter snips during the half cuban eight, but didn't find any of them.
  20. Yes !. Very important !!!
  21. I'd recommend starting with the 1/72 VF-1A/J/S kit from Hasegawa, as it is also inexpensive (US$15ish @ HLJ, actually cheaper than the Wave and Arii 1/100 kits (S&H costs not being taken into consideration though)). I started with these VF-1 kits based on the price tag. It does have some complications (like correcting the legs alignment, etc.) but it will 'break you in' quicker than building other simpler kits. It's all about personal preferences.
  22. Same here. I had a sort of mixed feelings when Hasegawa started doing reruns. I had already bought some VT/VE-1s (at a moderately high price tag) when I saw these two coming back to production at less than US$ 20.00 Ea. Ended up stashing two more for the future, but that's it for this pair. I might go for an extra -1D also for stashing purposes. Still refusing to pay the US$ 60ish for the Moonshooters being listed on eBay (price tags and availability used to be worse 5 years ago) and highly confident we'll see the back any time soon.
  23. Any time !. Same here. Hoping for the Moonshooters' VF-22S re-issue at some point... and a pouring rain of new stuff, but no joy yet. @Firefox They've been reissuing it (along with the VE-1) continuously in the last months. A good chance to get to build both versions: the one with the super parts on and the barebone trainer Valkyrie.
  24. Except for Minmay + Egg VF-1, no other new product has been announced as of today.
  25. @nightmareB4macrossDetails can be found @ http://www.hasegawa-model.co.jp/month/201903/ for each one of them. Hope it helps.
