  1. i would agree on the hate of the "hunt" but most of the stuff i found were easy finds. and the 2 items i hunted for i got cheap. (apu from matrix 20$ and large spiderman 14$) oh wait i wanted something rare to agument a model i plan to build and after 2 months of searching i found one for 25$ 20 more then i wanted to get one for.
  2. I dont know if it was mentioned earlier, but i wonder how the gun pods stand up size wise. as in does it looke like a 1-60 pod or 1-48 pod?it does not matter to me i am still getting one. but i was wondering if there was a descrepance in size.
  3. If the avenger hits walmart i will get one. as for any other 1:18 the only other one i care about getting is f6f hellcat. i have only one right now it is a pappy boyinton corsair. i feel the 1:18s are toooooo big.
  4. air force should have bought more kc-10s before boeing closed that line
  5. I love the kites. I am not to keyed up about the skull squadron logos. and i dont even know what the Minmay things represent. but hey it is a FREE hang out so i cannot complain too much
  6. I am not too keyed up on the price of either also. but compare it to previous versions of valks. you get what you pay for. if these were compared with transformers i feel they compare with the mpc Primes and the others, i.e. bandais, toynamis would be like the 80s version of prime. some one do the us a huge favior and when the first one to get their 1/60 with a decent digital camera, and a few 1/48s take picture side by side in all modes. just so people can fathom the size of these toys. if i had completed my vf-0s and my vf-1d models i could do a side by side comparison with a f-14. as i have a 1/72nd f-14 already done. but i can tell youthat it is bigger then a 1/60 vf-1a sitting near it. the length of the vf-0s is 18.69 meters the length of the vf-1s is 11.3 meters the length of an f-14 is 18.96 meters so if the vf-0s is almost the size of an f-14 it will be alot bigger then the current 1/60s except for the monster and the other one.
  7. lets add this to the frey. would you get a vf-0s/a with a ghost weapons pack
  8. I would assume the vf-0a is next for the 1/60 series because all they would have to do is design a new head. and after all that is the ship that shin last fought in . as for sales if mworld is any indication. the vf-0s is going to sell.
  9. Any one think there is a chance of 1:18 f6f hellcat being produced?
  10. I would assume the only defence that air force 0ne has is electrical radar jamming, flares and chaff. anything else is probably classified and we wont know what else for 50 years +
  11. he was from the slight future (from 1997)it would have been cool to see him do some ninties leaps maybe fight in desert storm. he alway seem to be in america or an american never in Russia or england or Germany.(but he was in vietnam)
  12. From what i heard of stealth technology most of the stealth come from the shape of the aircraft as apposed to the skin. for instance look at the flying wing that the airforce axed in the late 40s to early 50s i read stories where they were able to sneak up on some radar areas while flying it. and that was an aluminum covered bird. also look at all the test aircraft done for stealth like the tacet blue plane. and the sr-71 are all great examples of shape affecting radar croass section and all are planes not realy considered stealth.
  13. But you gotta admit they went out in a blaze of glory. and they got one good curtian call with the Mighty Missouri and the others that participated in desert storm
  14. If you are going to japan, you may luck out and find a lowviz in a obscure hobby shop, you never know what you would find in an out of the way store. or even perhaps what the american kids called papa san store. which are little corner shops at the end of the block. the one that was near my house when i lived on okinawa had alot of big ticket priced toys for a papa san store.
  15. need to change siggy to 28..... never thought roy focker the killer of silly threads would create one himself.
  16. A small pin did lots of harm HAMPTON -- A metal pin about 6 inches long and an inch thick was sucked into the engine of an F-22A Raptor, causing $6,754,275.36 in damage, an Air Force report said. The incident - called "foreign-object damage" - occurred on Oct. 20, 2005, when the Raptors of the 27th Fighter Squadron were preparing for night operations while deployed at Hill Air Force Base in Utah. Many of the pilots were dropping bombs for the first time in any of the airplanes. The Raptors were immediately grounded and an investigation was ordered. The planes remained on the ground the next day while remedial action was taken. "This incident happened during a training mission and our main concern was that no one was injured," said Lt. Dan Goldberg, a spokesman for Air Combat Command, which conducted the investigation. The ACC report, issued Wednesday, said the plane's pilot had started the engines, but the crew chief noticed that the pin was still inserted in the landing gear, locking it into place. The chief instructed the pilot to shut down the Raptor's left engine, then scurried under the plane to remove the pin, from which a streamer hangs to make it more accessible. During the removal, the streamer and pin were sucked into the right engine, destroying it. The incident was called a "Class A mishap," because damages were more than $1 million," Goldberg said. The affected Raptor was kept out of training the next week, and it remained at Hill Air Force Base for several more days for repairs while the rest of the 27th Fighter Squadron returned. Squadron members attributed the incident to the newness of the Raptor and its maintenance techniques. The Hill deployment was the first for the airplane and its maintenance group, and much of the time in Utah was spent on lessons learned. "When accidents like this happen, we conduct an Accident Investigation Board (AIB) to find out exactly what occurred, and we take the necessary steps to make sure the same accident doesn't occur again," Goldberg said.

  25. you probably cant do this in the us. it maybe seen as a form of gambling and as far as i know the online casinos are off shore. so as long as the servers for macross world are outside of the united states it can be done. but if they arent or are in a country that frowns on online gambling. it would be illegal.
