  1. Oh I wasn't putting down the Glock weapons or inferring that they have any reputation for malfunction, where I grew up in SoCal all the Homey and Chollo thugs used to love to brag about their Glocks in highschool, just kinda left a bad taste in my mouth after one of my friends got shot. It isn't a rational reason to dislike the brand, the name just has a negative connotation in my mind. I have heard nothing but positive things from Glock owners and users and the fact that they seem to be the weapon of choice of many major P.D.'s says somthing about thier safety and reliability. I was looking around and stumbled across the Mauser M2 by Sigarms, any of you guys ever have a chance to handle one of those? Any thoughts on them worth sharing?
  2. My Yamatos: 1/48: 8 (1 of each) 3 sets FP 1/60: 2 1/72: 1 1/100: 1
  3. I don't really have any reason to dislike the Glock, other than the street reputation. I will fully admit that I find the Ruger to be the more aesthetically pleasing of the less expensive pistols. This weekend a few friends and I plan to go up to one of the better equipped ranges and rent a few different brands and do a little testing/feeling out. Unfortunately, while everyone around here carries and sells most of the major lines, it seems like the rental guns are all Glocks and S&W. I think it might be time to take a hint I picked up a new Shotgun last night, should be fun at the skeet club, Mossberg model 590 pump action "Special Purpose" 12 gauge:
  4. I went through this baby at length, and I didn't see any discussion of Ruger's Semi-Auto pistols, and nothing more than a joking reference to the Walther P99. I am thinking of picking up a new 9mm and 45, and after fooling around with a buddies Ruger P95 I am thinking of snagging one of those, obviously, most people are inlove with the HK pistols, but they are a tad out of my price range. Any thoughts on the Ruger and Walther pistols?
  5. I can't wait to see a couple sets of custom armor painted in the Low Vis Scheme for the Low Vis, sure it isn't technically O.G. Macross or anything, but the pre-productions grey set looks really cool I think. Put a set of that on a Low Vis or better yet, a Low Vis custom VF-1S I think would look extremely bad ass!
  6. Man, that is retarded, if you look at the pictures they provide in the auction it looks like they have some 4th grader chained up in the basement that they make reproduce the books in stunningly lackluster detail $450 to $550 for that? I am in the wrong line of work.....
  7. Mine too, I will end up wanting one of these for sure, but I have a few expenses coming up that are keeping me from committing to the purchase. I have a feeling that when this gets a little closer to fruition, there will be some more people hoping to tack on an order..... like me Keep up the good work, the work you have done so far looks great.
  8. I had some fun over the weekend I thought I would share A buddy of mine moved back into town and wanted to go up to the range this past weekend and put his old riot shotgun through it's paces, he has an old 12 guage remington police riot shotgun his father passed down to him about 6 years ago, I cleaned up my mom's old Mossberg 500 "Special Purpose" 12 guage she bought from a cop friend when he decided to upgrade and we headed up to the range. Unbeknownst to us, the range had gone under new ownership and they closed their pistol and rifle ranges and went to strictly a skeet/trap range. Well, we didn't want to leave with all that ammo and the range owner said any shotguns were fine on the range so long as we adhered to the club rules so we got in line and got a skeet lane after a 20 minute wait as spectators admiring the other shooters $2000.00 Bennelli's and such, the doctor/dentist skeet crowd.. Anyhow, so we grab our lane and head down, I gotta say, I had more fun shooting skeet with those to stubby riot guns than I ever had with a long gun, and they were easily twice as loud as the other guns on the range, after about 20 rounds each we had a pretty decent crowd gathered wondering what the hell we were doing up there with riot shotguns on the skeet range, but it also may have been the giggling between rounds . Anyhow, just thought I would share a pointless gun related story. Any of you guys ever et to play with the Benelli M1014 tactical shotgun? I wonder if they are really worth $....
  9. E-mail received, will be sending payment at lunchtime Thanks for the quick reply! ~Edit deposit on 2 kits Paypaled today.
  10. I have one of those old Arii 1-D gerwalk model kits on my bench, it is all ready for assembly, but I am trying to decide if I want to sculpt a new set of hands for it, the hands that come on that kit are way, way out of scale. That and I have several dozen 40K miniatures in different stages of paint and assembly, that is a hobby that never gives me a break
  11. I want a tactical scout in this scale so bad I can taste it, seperate kit or upgrade parts just let us know how you plan to package it
  12. So clean, So pretty! Great work, those are a real pair of beauties
  13. Gooberish drooling aside, Cap, what are the odds of you making the Tactical Scout upgrade kit? The with level of detail you are showing so far, after everyone has had a chance to place an order, if you decide to make the Missle carrier and Tactical Scout I will have to buy a third Regult kit and both upgrade kits from you guys so I can build one of each. Have the final height dimensions of the model been determined already?
  14. Dude, I am speechless....... Since I have been reduced to making grunting noises of approval at this stage.... Unngggah Gooooooood!!!! Regullttt Gooooood!!!
  15. I am a member of the Skullknight.net and Hawks.org message boards and while there have been lots of rumors incessantly about a season two Berserk Anime it is just rumor right now, with no hard plans in place. Miura is pretty protective of the Berserk saga, he has been working on it for a long time, and I can't blame him, so you can bet when the announcement is made on any further animated Berserk there will be quite a bit of media coverage in the anime community. Berserk is an adult themed manga, the story, the violence, the theme of the books, it just isn't aimed at kids, so I wouldn't be intimidated by it, and I really don't think that the sexual content is handled gratuitously, or for purposes of titilation, the elements in the manga are all story important. It is my favoraite manga of all time, bar none and I don't hesitate to recommend it to people, but you should know going in that it isn't a happy-go-lucky story.
  16. Is it really a no-no to place them in opposing directions so you can have a "Good Side" in each mode? I have alway put mine, right back from the days of Jetfire with one side up for Battroid, (Usually the right side of the gun) and one for side up in Valk. I might just have learned to live with something that looks retarded to most, but the upside down sticker doesn't bother me too much, knowing that I have at least one right side up in any mode.
  17. Excellent advice, it is also a really good idea to scour his site if you are a Robotechie who has recently tapped into your deep love of the Macross series and want to know the key differences between the series, the companies and the toys
  18. I think they were talking about two things though, A. First applying heat to iron air bubbles out of the screen protector film that someone applied to their screen. As with vynil stickers and other adhesive attached films, the goal is to heat the bubbley sticker until the adhesive underneath becomes soft and the sticker becomes slightly maleable so you an push the air bubbles out from under the sticker. This could be dangerous for yoru LCD if you end up significantly raising the temperature of the screen or worse yet outright burning it. B. Applying a small amount of liquid to the screen before setting the screen protector film on the unit, allowing for ease of placement and again to push air bubbles out from under the film before it is "attached" to the screen. Here the danger is getting liquid into the electronics of the PSP. You can put your keyboard in your dishwaher, and chances are it will work fine if you let it dry completely before using it again, (I know, dumb, but I have witnessed this on a keyboard that had a coke spilled in it, worked perfectly after the dishwasher and a week of air drying.) But if you get some water or liquid in yor PSP and then run power through it, you can damage it, I haven't taken mine apart to check the seals, but with the coutours of the PSP I think it would be easy to get some water in the speaker holes or around the buttons. Essentially, I am just saying, I would suggest a little caution with etiher of these methods, seems like either way, if you aren't careful you might break something.
  19. going overboard with their method is going to screw up your PSP. High heat on an LCD screen is bad mojo, likewise allowing even a miniscule amount of water to seep into your buttons or cracks in the it would also be a bad idea. Slow careful application would seem to be the wisest move.
  20. That is a pretty good idea, minor dead pixel units would be great for passing around the store. Personally, after seeing the effect a hands on demonstration has with people I think word of mouth and friends demostrating the thing is by far more powerful advertising than TV or Magazine ads could be with the thing. By the way, I was skimming boards and searching and it turns out Square Enix has already got a PSP Final Fantasy game in development. The game is going to be called FF7: Crisis Core you can search it on the net to find out more, 1up.com had a tentative release date in late June, hopefully they will have it playable at E3 with some other major announcements. No April Foolin, I looked it up last night and was extremely giddy to see a semi-confirmed Square-Enix release. I am highly excited to see what is in store for the PSP.
  21. Looks completely bad-ass so far, as always, I'm in awe of your skills
  22. Yeah, I believe Mike said he got his running on the web, I got mine online through the Wipeout loophole yesterday. It is a little clumsy using the pop-up cell phone like keypad but it works. It won't run quicktime or win-media applications so you can't watch movie trailers or video content on the web in most cases but it will get you to web pages and show most standard images. I couldn't get mine to load up modern Flash pages, so I assume it doesn't have flash player capability, and it may never. It will allow you to do handy things like look up movie times, mapquest maps and phone numbers in the yellow pages online. So it has some uses. That episode of South park was great. I love how quickly those guys can jump on a topic and crank out an episode, and wrapping the PSP, Lord of the Rings, Terry Shiavo and The Last Starfighter all into one cohesive funny storyline made it even better
  23. Had I to guess why they delayed Hotshots, I think that the real answer is that they are staggering some of their completed releases just to make sure they have games in the pipeline while some of the third party developers catch up on programming for the thing. If I read the releases right, they aren't planning on an official wireless browser / full internet capability roll-out until after June, Hot Shots is showing a May release date last time I checked. Not to be a pessimist, but I expect a short lull in game releases and probably a ton of PSP future title announcements at E3, the RPG titles from Atlus and Square-Enix won't be announced till then, but both are on the list of registered PSP developers. It wouldn't surprise me at all if the reason for a few of the game release push backs was just to be sure it didn't look like no games were en route.
  24. I am ready for a new butt kicker flick, I'd go see it. Speaking of "Everyman" action flicks, I saw an episode of the Sunday Morning shoot out on AMC and Brude Willis said that they are prepping to do another Die Hard movie, and he swore that it had a solid script and read as well or better than Die Hard with a Vengeance. I liked those movies I hope this one is as good.
  25. Yeah I am fairly sure from what I have read that the lawsuit is specifically over the 'Dual Shock" technology, I think worst case scenario for Sony is they have to pay the fine, then either pay licensing fees, or they repackage the PS2's with non-dual shock controllers and stop selling Dual shock crap. Best case, they get an overturn on appeal, or a significant reduction in the fines and can work something out with the tech company claiming patent infringement. It really is a magnificent device, I went and downloaded the PSPphoto program linked from 1up.com site for compiling books and manga last night. I have the entire run of official Berserk Manga from Japan up to date and I downloaded the scanslations up to volume 25 a few months ago I loaded up a couple volumes last night onto some spare room on my memory card, looks pretty cool, however I need to figure out how to reformat them to landscape view so they will be larger images that take up the full screen. Little details, overall the functions of the thing are fantastic!
