I find this criticism hilarious, as I have a collection of somewhere in the vicinity or 3000 warhammer miniatures, that all had to be assembled. Not to mention the thousands of D&D miniatures that don't require assembly but take a lot of patience to paint. This is a whole different ballpark my friend. A miniature you have to put the arms and legs on, glue together and paint is one thing. A 35 piece model the size a quarter that requires jewelers skills to assemble, clean flash, and prime and the nerves of a vascular surgeon to paint properly is another. Their first round miniatures are awesome IMO, but they require a ton of skill and patience to assemble and a lot of skill to paint. Period.

1/48 MOSPEADA LEGIOSS RESIN KIT: FINAL SHOT
Ghadrack replied to captain america's topic in Anime or Science Fiction
Gracias Cap'n. One last question do we need to specify variant, such as I want a Hoquet/Rook version or will the head option parts for each come with each kit? -

1/72 Nousjadeul Ger decals are here + some new display stands
Ghadrack replied to mslz22's topic in The Workshop!
Mike, thanks man and agree, I have no problem with those prices for bases. I have a 1/72 Monster v2. I need two sets of the N-Ger Decals. I'm definitely interested in some bases, I'd be interested in 5 of the larger size Zent bases, I'm torn between the 3 or 2 level version I think I prefer the three level version. They both look pretty nice, so if you end up molding one and not the other I'm fine with either. I'd also be interested in 3 of the small Kite bases. -
Something in a deep, dark place in the back of my brain just stopped working for a second.... did I read what I think that says is something that someday could be a thing?

1/48 MOSPEADA LEGIOSS RESIN KIT: FINAL SHOT
Ghadrack replied to captain america's topic in Anime or Science Fiction
In for 2, possibly 4, as we get closer to the payment deadline depending on "fun money" budgeting I'll be able to confirm if I can commit to the extra two. When you say you'll make the different head options, will that be a one per kit choice or will you be kitting them with the three head options included for the builder? -
Amen Derex! And Spitfire, I'm with you too, if the Cap'n were to do some kind of scale Space Cucumber I'd be in, I'm not too picky on the specific model.

I'll keep my eye's peeled for the Legioss thread, I picked up a couple of the full kits when you offered them, but I'd be interested in the Variants in Battroid form. And I may need someone to PM/E-mail me if I miss the threads when they pop up but, I'm so in for the Macross TV version, and 1/9 Mospeada projects I'd send you deposits today if you were ready to commit to them. I'm also in for at least 1 Q-Rau

I,m conflicted on the lame or not front. I don't want to dump on it completely. The models when built are incredible for the scale. I seriously believe they 3d scanned and perfectly reproduced old 1/72 scale model in 1/285 scale which is incredible, but sweet Jesus it requires tools and patience and a skilled miniature painter to assemble them to look good, so buyers should get this warning with the game.

Aside from the convention exclusives that were pewter, these are basically scaled down tiny Imai / Bandai plastic model kits. I counted 34 parts for a single Gerwalk Valkyrie to be assembled, they are highly detailed, intricate, cool figures, but Christ on a crutch, if you bought this game for a ten year old, it would be practically impossible for them to assemble the pieces to play the game. IMO that's single biggest shortcoming of the game. It's a Warhammer / Battletech miniature strategy tabletop game clone, it plays fine and elicits the same type of rules lawyering fights that most of these game do around line of sight, range, terrain modifiers, I really don't have a problem with that, the figures are just extremely tedious to assemble, which is also fine for me, but I know that the other Robotech / macross fans that I grew up with who aren't big model building and miniature painting fans are disappointed with the game pieces requiring weeks worth of afternoon and weekend assembly work before you can play the game. without substituting quarters, D&D miniatures or dice for assembled figures.

I bought the game and multiples of all of the miniature packs and have been dutifully assembling them for the last few months, they are time consuming even for 30 year miniature fan and model builder. That sorry excuse laden post on their official site at Palladium blaming everything on their design partners not doing all of the work delivering on promises Palladium made to their customers is just simply shameful. I'd be genuinely embarrassed as a business owner to post that sort of evasive, buck passing off as a sincere apology. It's pretty awful. On the subject of scale? I might be a simpleton here, has anyone done the math, are their "6mm" miniatures in the 1/300 scale range?

1/48 Mospeada Legioss Solider/ Alpha Battloid Kit
Ghadrack replied to captain america's topic in Anime or Science Fiction
Yeah? I gotta find a way to get emails forwarded to me whenever the Capn or mslz22 posts on the forum (stalker mode) so I know when these pop up. I'm always in to support these but my awful job has me working 10 plus hours a day and often weekends so I can't keep up with the forums I frequent. -
1/48 Mospeada Legioss Solider/ Alpha Battloid Kit
Ghadrack replied to captain america's topic in Anime or Science Fiction
And um.... not to be a clown but if you ever got the bug to do a not miniscule scale ( at least 6 inches standing)Ride Armor / cyclone kit in a Yellow Dancer / Bladed and Rook / heavy weapon variation. No transformation necessary, fixed posed would br fine. I could find some significant fun money to spend on those. -
I generally think biggest = bestest I'm pretty interested in the 48 scale but a nice 72 scale would be pretty awesome too.

Jeepers I gotta find time to keep up with the boards more. Stupid work. I never saw this thread. I'd be in for one of each (3). I'd potentially go for two of each (6) if this started looking realistic and would help. -
I'm going to buck the trend here, Given Pixar's track record, even with the Disney cross contamination and their foray into the redneck drudgery with that awful tow-truck, they've earned my allegiance, I'll most definitely check it out and I bet it will be extremely fun, funny, sad and a great ride. I mean, Come On Lewis Black and Amy Poehler alone should over-ride some basic skepticism.

Mike I'm in for a Decal run. Kits received last night Thanks as always Cap'n!

I don't disagree, but honestly, if they are looking for a shock and awe type scene to spice up the show, it wouldn't surprise me to have them kill her off then bring her back as a spirit of vengeance type character. I definitely could see them having Theon running her into a trap during a trick escape plan and having her end up recaptured by Ramsey. Who knows. And not to be too much of a whiny book purist but where the hell are the wolves? I don't think that GRRM spent all that time developing all of the material around the Stark kids magical link to the Winterwolves, Nymeria roaming Westeros with an ever growing army of wolves killing the enemies of the North and Bran's link to be able to step into the form of an animal for them to just disappear at the end of the story.

Well I think the show writers have done what they hoped in making the book readers uncertain about the future of the story in the show, given their penchant for amalgamating characters in the show, Aside from the fact that I expect they will end the show using GRRM's broad stroke character clash and vision of the ultimate victors, I'm at a point where I expect all bets are off. Since it is such an easy "Holy cow" type moment, and they seem to have abandoned the Lady Stoneheart storyline, I'm seriously expecting that they've pocketed that gem to use later during a lull or to build towards the finale and have Ramsey or someone in his cadre kill Sansa now and to have the Thoros the Red Priest somehow come along and raise Sansa as a stand-in Lady Stoneheart and for that to somehow dovetail with the new Brienne storylines to evolve into a Revenant Brienne / Undead Mountain clash (perhaps with a reappearance of a Redeemed Hound, but I think they are saving the hound for Arya's return as a faceless one for a really painful scene of some sort) as part of the lead in to an ultimate dragon / Ice King battle for Westeros.

I felt a little sick at the end of that episode. I always despised Sansa's lack of a backbone in the books, but I still don't want to see bad things happen to her, I desperately wanted her to attack or kill Ramsey's she-devil, or even to go ahead and waste Reek to assert herself to show Ramsey she is done being a push over and get just a smidgen of revenge for his betrayal of her family, oh well. And are we now going to have Margery be the one stripped and head shaved to do the walk of shame instead of Cersei? WTF? Tommen better grow a pair and rectify this business....

I like the way you think but what about maybe the onion night finally being given the chance to end her with a little pseudo fatherly vengeance.

To Quote the Illustrious Mr. T. "I Pity the Foo" who would subject his crotch to that suit. As with most of these mecha the hip joints would completely obliterate your junk if you weren't in the fetal position in the cockpit area while piloting. Do you have any idea when you'll be looking for final payments? Wonderfest in Kentucky is at the end of May, I was just plotting out my fun-money budget for the next few pay periods

Awesome!! You need to put a dog or a small child in the picture for scale, these things are huuuuuuge.
