I was looking through my latest Lego catalog and it has a picture of that little guy and his mech, his name is Hikaru in their new Lego line up.

OK with the limitation on the number of kits available you have forced my hand I'll commit. Put me down for one kit please, thanks for the great offer, I look forward to many hours of enjoyment putting this baby together and a lifetime of suffering figuring out how to display the Monster

Put me down for a set one standing, one seated for one of my pods

I am the following: A Horror Movie fan A "B" Movie Fan A Comedy Movie fan Cabin Fever touched me in all the right places, I still laugh my ass off every time I watch that movie, So I was going to see Hostel no matter what. For some reason this movie has got some kind of strange vibe from the advertising going around that dissuaded everyone I know from going to see it. They said "I don't think I can watch a movie "like that" " It's a movie about torture right? I went and saw it with my brother openning weekend and I thought that movie kicked ass. Here is how I am pitching it to people now, Contrary to the advertisements this is not a balls to the wall slasher flick, yes, a some people get destroyed, it is a horror movie. Go into this movie expecting the following: 40 minutes of jiggling boobies, 20 minutes of torture - horror - 30 minutes of comedy/vengeance and action/suspence. It is not an hour and a half of people getting their toes snipped off with channel locks, far from it. Yes there is blood, it is a horror movie. Baed solely upoon the ads, you would think that the movie is an hour and a half of seriously bad things happening constantly, but really, the movie is far from that. I enjoyed it, but I am biased, again I think Eli Roth made a fun movie for horror fans and I hope he gets to keep making them.

I played for about 6 months when the game was first released, it was fun for a while, but the game play didn't grab me, plus for the first year or two it was out, there was no "space" in Star Wars, it is star wars themed Everquest with no Loot, XP grinding for skill ups alone gets boring, the quest system was very, very repetetive, the crafting system was entertaining for a while, but the implementation of the harvesting machines wasn't practical, it essentially made you a slave to the game, feeding fuel to machines on the clock every day or they would break down and you were out of luck, it wasnt' fun it was work. Anyhow, I gave up before the first major game system revamp that changed combat and essentially pulled the rug out from under the players that had invested an ungodly amount of time developing their characters. I never saw space combat in th game but I heard it was implemented. One of my buddies stuck it out while the rest of us quit, he was playing a couple crafting characters with several merchant shops running and he accumulated just shy of a billion credits before he sold them and quit the game. Now I have been seeing commercials on television that really look like a plea of desperation to get people to try the game, unfortunately, the graphics are dated, and the commercials jsut don't look very polished compared to what is being shown on XBox 360 commercials, or hell Battlefront 2 fo the consoles looks more impressive graphically. If the plan is to salvage the game, they are going to have a serious uphill battle on their hands. Star Wars is a property that could be highly profitable as an online MMORPG universe but it needs to be implemented masterfully. I think they should scrap that game, engine and everything about it, and go back to the drawing board.

I just wanted to say, and I am sure it has been mentioned before, MR FX lightsabers are awesome for power outtages. We lost our power at 6:30 this morning while I was getting ready for work, it was pitch black here in Bumbleskunk, TN but wth a few strategically placed lightsaber displays it was a purple blue and red morning

Anyone Order From Sasuga Books Or Animebooks.com?
Ghadrack replied to David Hingtgen's topic in Anime or Science Fiction
I ordered 25 manga issues at once last year from Sasuga they all listed as "in stock" on their site, but a week later when the package arrived there were 7 issues that were not in stock and they had to back order, which they did very quickly. I have no complaints about their speed or reason to doubt them, but ust be aware that their stock indicator "if they still have one" was out of date the last time i used their online store. They are a fairly reputable dealer, when i was searching around for advice on where to shop last year, Sasuga kept coming up over and over again. I will shop with them again. -
This weekend I picked up Infected and Legend of the Hero, I played Infected for about ten hours yesterday, it is a mindless shoot-em-up style game but pretty nice for an on the go frag-fest. The game has a soundtrack by Slipknot, Chaimera, Junkie XL and a few other groups, heavy metal and techno, pretty nice mix for my taste. I haven't played multi-player yet, but the unlockable character models are a little generic aside from the Slipknot band members, I think there is a giant mad-Cow you can unlock but I haven't found that yet. Game controls and camera angles aren't too bad, it is a little annoying when a mob is to your left or right offscreen, because while you can quickly flip front to back with the push of a button, in a melee where you are surrounded it is a little tough to tell how much stuff is on you. Targetting works a lot like GTA games, hold a button to lock onto a target, push a different button to cycle through valid targets. The game will float from target to target as you mow them down naturally, and the combo system is pretty fun. Anyhow, I think a good description of this game would be to say that it is essentially a bastardization of Untold Legends and Serious Sam, seemingly random level generation but not too varied, you buy weapon and ammo upgrades between levels with cash you accrue for completeling missions. Not the greatest peice of game code ever written, but a fun diversion, if I had to rate it, i would give it a 3.5 out of 5, solid gameplay, funny cut scenes and dialog, repetetive levels after 30 or so missions, Good soundtrack, combo system is easy to understand and can be fun to play with, Levels can be to tough to navigate due to "map crowding" which makes it hard to see where the next branch of the map is. On the subject of UMD movies, I have a couple but I only buy them on sale and i only bought a few that i really wanted to have on a trip but didn't feel like ripping and plugging up my memory stick. I think they would sell a ton of them if they were sold in the 10 to 14$ range, but what the hell do I want to pay 20 to 30$ for a movie when i can get the DVD for that price and have the luxury of watching it in it's full glory at home and if desperate to have it portably, tear it to my memory stick? UMD's suck only because of the retarded price point they are set at. They are nifty, but completely a luxury item. I would buy Aliens, Cannibal the Musical, a few of my absolute favoraite movies, but run of the mill flicks will never be seen on the screen of my PSP.

First shots of Charlize Theron as Aeon Flux.
Ghadrack replied to UN Spacy's topic in Anime or Science Fiction
Two of my buddies from work went to see it this weekend, they both told me not to waste my time, even if it was on television and I was home sick with nothing else to watch. -
I would be completely shocked if those costumes were not made for a guy. Sleep tight

Well if they are a technologically advanced indaver, and it they have significant numbers and acurate from space bombardment weaponry and were under my command. First destroy the energy production capabilities, power stations, oil refineries. Interrupt the water supply and sanitation systems by bombing or blasting water and sewage processing centers, then cut off supply lines by bombing shipping and trucking companies and major highways, bridges between cities. Keep this up for about two weeks and the populations of the major cities will begin to starve and will begin eliminating each other especially if you can trap large population centers by bombing their exit routes frequently. As most of the major population centers on this planet are entirely dependent upon outside resources for food and water those pupulations would be relatively easy to eliminate. Were I technologically advanced, but lacked large numbers my plan would involve altering the atmosphere of the planet skewing CO2 or nitrogen levels by enough to destroy human the population but not be enough to destroy the entire ecosystem. Devising a method to manipulate CO2 production in the oceans and burning of several major forested areas would do the trick. If you could manage to manipulate global oxygen levels taking this rock would be comical.

Let me qualify my opinion by saying that I am a huge fan of the Horror FPS Genre, so I want to play the Lone guy taking on the army of Undead or evil monks or what have you. Being scared in the dark with a gun and the moans of the dead and monsters all about is extremely fun to me. Quake 4 just felt a little ho-humm shoot em up to me.

Yay! Go cheesy Family drama. How much do you wanna bet that on the Show John Connor faces a dilemma, It's his frst date, his mom is going bonkers about the end of the world, and John finds out when he goes to bed his new lady she weighs 786 pounds and has a steel endoskeleton. She is a terminatrix, but she is rebelling against the system and loves John Connor, because you see she was doing her hair and got shocked by a short in her curling iron and forgot how to hate. Now enjoy the antics and John Connor hides a terminator love robot under the unsuspecting nose of his crazy mother in this season's new hit show, "Diary of a Teenage Terminator"!

I got what I expected from it. Doom 3 and Doom 3 Ressurrection of Evil were better games in my opinion. I think that Quake 4 feels like a mindless FPS in comparrison and is probably just a set up for better Multi-player Deathmatch style play than Doom 3 because of the more Claustrophobic nature of the Doom 3 levels the Deathmatches wouldn't be a great deal of fun for large numbers of players.

Right on brother! Seriously, why the hell hasn't lucasarts expanded on that Franchise, the X-Wing, Tie Fighter games were the most fun flight sim type games in fact, I loved them so much that up until about a year and a half ago I maintained an elderly PC running windows 95 just so I could play them. They seriously need to overhaul the graphics and expand those games with a modern engine. I would buy them all again in a heartbeat and probably not get my butt out of my computer chair for 6 months afterwards.

There are too many cool episodes to list favoraites, but up there high near the top for me is the Ninja Warriors episode where the boys get ninja weapons at the fair and Butters gets a throwing star in the eye. Whooo just thinking abut it makes me laugh. Seriously, if you guys like their sense of humor you need to watch the episodes with the mini-commentary tracks on, they are funny as hell. Then, go out and hunt down copies of Cannibal the Musical and Orgazmo, dear god, the drunken commentaries are fantastic.

Master Replicas basically just got my bank account information, they have so much cool stuff coming out over the next two years with their Muppets, Indiana Jones and Star Wars and X-Men licenses it should be criminal to sell as much cool stuff as they are.

Wow, and I was going to offer my Low Vis up here, maybe I should go to E-Bay and see if I can get half a grand for it too Craziness.

Hilarious Have these been discussed on any of the star wars forums? I would love to see that thread. I searched Rebelscum but didn't see one there.

The bases look good now that I have seen them, and while I know that your past work is top notch, this is the internet. I don't speak for everyone, but I wanted to see a painted, finished version before I ordered anything, the site just has a Kite Logo Jpeg which is nice, but doesn't show me if the base is going to have some nifty relief or of it is going to be a chunck of wood from Hobby Lobby with a sticker on it. That wasn't meant to be offensive, now that I have seen the finished product I will order some bases tonight, just my logic in delaying an order. Thank you for supporting the hobby and producing something worthwhile for us Macross fans.

Variable Fighter Star Wars X-Wing and TIE Fighter
Ghadrack replied to wolframbane's topic in Anime or Science Fiction
Oh my goodness, those are horrifying. -
Subjectively here, but the altered Beast GBA game can be found at lots' of EB-Gamestop whatever type places used for 5.99. If you liked the Altered Beast games, I would say go for it, it has the same gameplay and lots of unlockable extra characters. Straightforward game, if you lked Altered Beast you will probably love this little cartridge, especiialy if you get it used for under 6 dollars
