Hehe yeah. But up until now I don't like watching that vid. He looks like he's manhandling the thing and the music is atrocious! Anyway, looks like he's pulling the wing out by swinging it outward, using the wing glove as the brace/pivot point. But again, it looks like he manhandles the thing so I dunno if that's the best way to do it.

Oh, well whadda you know? Haha I guess I totally forgot that it did. Thanks for posting it again!

It surprisingly is, despite its simplicity hehe. I wish I had a nice photo setup so I could take nice pictures like you do -

This arrived yesterday (along with my additional 2pcs VF-19Advance and 1pc VF-171EX Murayama) Did Grendizer ever ride his Spazer like this? -
Sadly it didn't. They almost never show the transformation going back from battroid.
-
Question for you guys. What "technique" do you use to pull the wing out when transforming it back from battroid to fighter? As you know, when transforming the wings to battroid, you push them wings in, making the swing bar fold up inside the wing itself. However, pulling it back out always scares me because I might put too much force and end up pulling it out too fast and hard, thereby stressing the rivet on the swing bar. This happened to me before and that rivet became loose. Now that my 2nd and 3rd copies have arrived, I do not want to make the same mistake. So if you have a particular way of pulling the wing back out without any fear of stressing the joint, please let me know. Thanks!

Whoa didn't realize Maltesers aren't that well known. Aren't those also sold in the US? I used to see them in stores when I go over there. They're also widely available in my country.

If the markings are really wrong, then it should be Tenjin's fault, not Bandai's. The VF-19Advanceproduct page clearly states Tenjin was the one who made all the new markings.Edit: Oops sorry. Didn't see that others already pointed it out.

LOL it's like a police line-up. So who's the perpetrator??

All of Bandai's DX molds came with optional hard lasers after Alto's VF-25 (or already had them installed like the RVF-25). Since Rod's YF-29 is the same mold as Alto's YF-29, they sadly didn't bother retooling them. Which is a shame really because the mold for the lasers already exists, it's just the material is different.

Agreed. This was my main gripe with this head mold. Since I don't have any painting skill, Shapeways is not an option for me. I know people have used the hairdryer trick to get it straightened out. I tried it myself but I must be doing something wrong because it eventually bends back again after a day or so.

So much nitpicking lately. From the nose marking to the promo pics. Bandai isn't the only one that has edited their promo pics before. A lot of toy companies have done it, and will probably continue to do so. In fact, I'm not sure if there's any company at all that hasn't done this sort of thing at one time or another. So no need to make it seem that Bandai is such an evil company. And like spanner76 says, the resulting end product is still a really good toy. So I don't understand the constant need to look for little things to nitpick. Yes, it's good to be aware of the negatives, but these last few nitpicks feel like it's pushing it already.

Okay thanks. Personally I don't mind it either way, but was wondering if Bandai decided to shift to matte finishes for all future releases after the YF-30

Well, all the markings were supposedly overseen/made by Hidetaka Tenjin, so I guess he wanted to change them.
-
To those that already have their copy, what color is the stripe under the NUNS triangle? And is it close to the CF stripe color? My CF triangles are still intact, but was thinking I might want to swap them out with this one's.

Fraingu Jetto Hikouki? (Flying Jet Airplane)?

Oddly enough, the main reason I like this repaint is because it has the NUNS markings. I was never a fan of the SMS since it's like a mercenary army.

Personally, I prefer the VF-19Advance if it's about fun, looks and engineering. If you're concerned about availability, then get the VF-25S. It's still a solid design and you have more option parts (super and armor).

For a moment I got excited reading about new information on the Macross Delta valks. And then I read the rest of the post hehe.

Yup. You see him in the final episode. Here he is before he gets blown to bits. -
It's no big deal. I highlighted the area where you missed a step in the pink circle. The shoulder should be rotated outward first, then downward on the 2nd hinge (as shown in step 13 of the manual)

Isn't it unfair to compare these two since they're in different scales?
