Wow. Bandai actually managed to make the VF-2SS look cool and awesome from all the angles shown in that pic. My excitement level for this release has suddenly grown tremendously.

You forgot to mention the VF-4 and VB-6 as having smooth undersides as well. In terms of ranking, I would say VF-4, Sv-262, VB-6. But all of these are pretty close when it comes to no visible robot parts in jet/bomber mode. I think people often forget that the VB-6 also gives off the vibe, "Wait, this thing transforms?" too.

Oh wow. I never liked the VF-2 design but this might change my mind.

In contrast, there are those who prefer the diecast parts of their toys stand out in plain view, especially when the line is called "Hi-Metal". No matter what approach Bandai used, it will not appeal to everyone.

Yup. I highly recommend getting one (or more). It's a super hot item right now so if try to secure one before stock runs out. Another thing I forgot to mention is how sturdy it is. You can swoosh it around with one hand wihout any worry of it falling apart -

This is possibly the best LEGO set ever. Enough details to act like a scale model, functioning stage separations, comes with Lunar Module and Command Module splashdown diorama, 1 meter tall, 1969 pieces at $120 retail price. The rocket may look simple on the outside, but man the build and engineering on the inside is absolutely MIND-BLOWING. -
I suffer from this as well, but mainly because of my impatience. I end up buying high and selling low just to both get or sell what I want fast.

sh9000 can mimic that display easy and more with his HMR collection.

I convinced myself that I only need one of each destroid. I can always view them like a lance from Battletech to rationalize it

Funny, I don't think I've ever heard anyone use that term to describe the VF-1J anniversario valk before -
I've seen it in person at the Akiba Showroom. It really does look pinkish with the lighting they have there

I don't have this issue on both copies of my J super parts.

I may have to copy that pose! Looks amazing!

IMO, the super parts look better in battroid mode VS fighter for the 31, unlike most super/armor packs for other VFs.

Just received my VF-31J Super Parts. They look really good! Makes the 1J seem even more badass. After taking some pics of it, it's only occurred to me now that the 1J head kinda resembles Eva-01 when viewed from the front. The only weak point worth mentioning IMO is the shin armor. Its tabs are only located on one side of the leg so it's not as secure as I want it to be (but it's not loose though).

That's to be expected. That's a normal way for us Filipinos to deal with adversity hehe.

I would like a human-sized Misa Hayase or Millia hubba hubba! But they need to be like a Persocon-type from Chobits.

I dunno. I think Bandai nailed the scale. They designed the Spartan so that you can adjust the height by compressing the hip joints. Here are my own comparison shots. You'll notice that the top of the Spartan's missile pods align with the top of the VF-1's chest I'm a little saddened that most people here probably don't recognize these characters from Future Boy Conan. It's a enjoyable TV series that didn't seem to be very popular outside Japan. BTW, I must say the Spartan is probably the best HMR so far. It's solid and it's super poseable. Fans will definitely be missing out if they skip the destroids in the HMR line.

Dang hehe. I don't collect XM stuff so I guess that's not an option. Best I can trade is maybe my extra VF-31J + SV-262H. Guess my hunt continues, unless they announce a BT Titanfall figure. -
I didn't get an invoice for extra shipping from N-Y. My shipping was 3105 JPY via UPS Express Saver for 2 super parts. It's been in Preparation in Progress since yesterday.

Yeah, I've visited both Play Giant branches (in GH and Glorietta) but they only have the Ogre in stock (it's where I bought mine). I've tried asking if they still have a Stryder in stock but they said they don't. I'll try asking again. If you ever decide to sell your Stryder (or know anyone who does, Atlas included), lemme know -

Oh, the Hot Toys RE6 Ada Wong is out already? I didn't know that. Now I need to hunt for someone selling it locally. What Android 18 figure is that? Looks really nice.
