I put the SAP on. It's actually pretty easy. The only "dumb" issue is how the large backpack connects to the back. It's just using 1 tiny tab (the same one you use to peg the gunpod on the back of battroid or underside of fighter. Though I guess it's not so dumb since it hasn't fallen off on me yet, but it is concerning especially if you are carrying it by its SAP. Otherwise, I agree with Lolicon. There was too much anime magic in the transformation. It's almost unbelievable how Bandai was able to get it looking the way it does in each mode and at this size.

I just got mine too and transformed it for the first time into fighter. For those of you who were complaining about the VF-19Advance and VF-171 being overly complex, you're probably not going to like this one. Personally, I loved transforming the Advance and 171. This one, not so much. I think it's because of the scale and the fact that there aren't enough locking tabs for gerwalk and fighter mode IMO. If you're OCD, you're gonna spend time fiddling with the arms, legs, wings, fins, etc in gerwalk and fighter mode since this thing had a TON of moving parts, and no markers to let you know you have them in the correct spot. I also have one annoying QC issue. One of the small leg covers was a duplicate of the other side. They're not supposed to be the same since the shape should be different. It won't be an issue if I always have the SAP on since you have to remove those pieces, but it's still irksome. Overall, I think it's nowhere near perfect, but it's still a great attempt to make a VF-2SS toy, even greater considering the scale.
  3. Lol, even Saburo's pics can't make the VF-31F's head look good to me.

I wonder if people will start storing their ET VF-2SS's in the trash bin
  5. My wife had a similar problem with some of her toys when she was younger. Turns out it's because her room was being haunted by a ghost that liked to play with her toys. She would pose her dolls in a certain way and come home from school to find them rearranged. And no one entered her room during those times she was away. There was also an instance when she was staying with her sister in her sister's room during a power outage (her sister's room was located directly under her own), and they both heard her jackstones (the sound of the ball bouncing on the floor above them) like someone was playing with them. Needless to say, no one was in her room at the time.
  6. Nice score on the Ichiban Kuji Sheryl Nome in Kimono. Wanted to get that before but it was too expensive on the aftermarket.
  7. If you're referring to the ET version, you may want to reconsider that statement. If you really want a VF-2 toy, I suggest waiting to see how Bandai's HMR version turns out. It already looks much better in the promo pics than what ET has made.
  8. Funny pics! You make the most creative poses! Though neither Max nor Hayate are henpecked hehe I like that they're drinking from Archer's goblets.
  9. Oops, I was referring to the issue with the front landing gear bays. I thought you were talking about the same thing. Sorry...
  10. I have the same problem. What did you do?
  11. I don't think the 31F head looks funny. I think it looks fugly

I mentioned this in another thread. They've been including the fighter mode adapter that is meant to be used with the fast pack. It's a mistake that Bandai has kept on doing ever since the VF-1A CF
  13. I am also looking forward to those Hayate and Mirage VF-1's, but am worried about Bandai's continued negligence on including the wrong fighter mode stand adapter for their non-fast pack equipped valk releases (e.g. VF-1A, Hikaru VF-1J, Messer VF-1S). They keep including the one for fast packs, and while some people have gotten it to work, I haven't. I'm forced to rely on the only correct fighter stand adapter I have which came with the Armored VF-1J. And before anyone suggests it, I can't use Shapeways as an option as it is far too expensive to have something so small shipped to my location.
  14. I'll wait for my CC cutoff next week before I make my preorder on the 31A

Really? I guess I don't visit those communities. Anyways, I just received my Messer VF-1. Regardless of what "hate" people have for it, I think it actually looks pretty good in person. I was skeptical about the scheme at first when I preordered it, but now I think it works an was a good non-canon scheme. Definitely better than the Arcadia Anniversario scheme.

I don't think it's necessarily "hate". I believe most people think the scheme looks good or decent. I'm guessing they're just choosing to prioritize their other preorders over this one. Especially since some of the other upcoming toys have hefty price tags.
  17. Hmm, I remember reading something like this somewhere. Not sure if it was in this forum or from Youtube. If I remember correctly, the police weren't that helpful. He had a lot of stuff, then got robbed. He was able to rebuild his collection eventually though but it was a crappy experience. Or perhaps what I'm recalling is an incident related to a Macross collection.
  18. How do you tell the difference between the Hasbro and Takara version? What does the packaging look like? Thanks.
  19. At least they're not as bad as those charging an extra $100 for tampo right?
  20. So tempted to buy another. But I told myself that I'd stop getting multiples since I end up selling the extras at sometimes lower cost afterwards. I guess I want another copy just so I can compare them and only keep the one with the best overall QC.
  21. If you're talking about transformable Gundams from the GFFMC series for Zeta Gundam, how can you forget the Psycho Gundams? They're some of the best GFFMC figures. Although they are only 1/144 scale
  22. Whatever happened to the Macross 7 speaker pod that Yamato showed off a few years ago? That was the only speaker pod I was looking forward to, not these little VF-25/31 speaker attachments. One of the few badass moments in M7 was when Basara shot that speaker pod into the enemy mother ship bridge and blew the enemy's helmet off with the sound waves.

    That sounds kinda... erotic?
  24. Oh, I was talking about the Draken's landing gear, not the lil Draken's. Sorry for the confusion, I had misunderstood.
