  1. Tons of thrusters arived from the motherland (with some other Macross goodies) Out of the 60+ verniers I hope to find something that will work but, I'm not too optimistic. Last resort will be recasting the set from the 27 Lucifer. Now just to convince myself to get back to work!
  2. VF-31's are instock! Pre-colored too!
  3. Twitter feed has tons of other tweets with more WIP pictures.
  4. Website changed to reveal that Kira's VA announcing a Gundam SEED Metal Spirits figure AND the director for Gundam OO announcing a new Metal Build! I wonder what is next? AFAIK no more gundams from the OO RE:vision sequel were shown other than Dynames and Exia IV, so maybe back to the original S1 roster? https://tamashii.jp/special/gundam-figure-live/
  5. R, Your going to have to resend me your imgur/flickr acct. I cannot seem to find it in my bookmarks anymore. V Siren looks great! Straight gloss or any polishing on her? Come to think of it, is than an older resin kit? I can't think of any recent (fss "recent"=10 years) Neptune's with the mermaid on the shield like in the original art instead of the Fillmore Empire cross.
  6. Yep, I've got the regular release/red one. Yours seems to have held up better, my white plastic is seriously showing some yellowing despite being kept away from sunlight and in a non-smoking display case!. Once of these day's I'll give it some love, though not looking forward to the decals. My comment was more towards how they do things these days. Release a base Z-plus then charge double for the hummingbird add on a year later. That being said after seeing 2019's Robot Spirits C1... I would not mind another newer update at all!
  7. It's also Kira's VA, Sōichirō Hoshi as the guest during presentation and it states "Tons of new information of TAMASHII NATIONS ‘MOBILE SUIT GUNDAM’ series! Do not miss the unveiling of the latest ROBOT SPIRITS ‘MOBILE SUIT GUNDAM SEED’ products!" at the bottom of the page. There were a few of Seed things shown off at the last announcement. Strike Noir, Providence teasers IIRC. Skip the MB Zeta... need a GFFMC plus with a full on Hummingbird option!
  8. SEASON 2 MAY 2022 Globally!
  9. Right shoulder out of focus. 2/5 😛 Is that a gloss finish? I don't think I remember you doing anything but matte in a long while. Looking good!
  10. I've got the Armored and Regult in the warehouse too... just waiting on that darn Plamax VF-31 nose to release... This is hilarious as I'm like 90% sure I bought a MG D-Hell from you like 5 years ago along with a MG Wing KA and a Bandai Armored VF-25F... still haven't touched any of them either. Could have saved you the DHL cost, just charge you a restocking fee. lol In my experience lately (mostly HLJ and Mandarake orders,) EMS is always been cheaper by about $20-30USD only anything larger than a shoe box. Lately, I've found it easier to give into EBAY markups because the cheaper MSRP cost overseas + shipping (with SAL/Japan Post export being closed) is about the same with less wait.
  11. Amen. Kawamori's original work is a curvy masterpiece. Both Katoki (MG) and Takigawa (RG) remove the exquisite shapes and make them into generic fodder. It's not so bad on the GP01FB as there is alot to distract the eye but, on the regular GP01 it hurts the eye. The ver. A.N.I.M.E. RD is pretty close, there is also the old resin kit by WAVE (I think) released during C3AFA in 1/100 scale. It is a little wonky in the head and needs a bit of work
  12. On Fire Fiyaaaa! Crazy cool use of clear chopsticks! Scratchbuilt Battle Frontier?
  13. Bandai announced the next MGEX (extreme!!!!!) model kit... The Strike Freedom. Unlike the last entry (Unicorn) which focused on LED Lighting, this entry will focus on the "extreme expression of metal" (presumably just the inner frame.) I wonder if Bandai is testing a new market that merges the best of the Metal figure lines and Gunpla again following the somewhat HiRes flops. https://bandai-hobby.net/site/mgex/
  14. Premium Bandai has a free shipping coupon right now if you order from them, which can be applied to a few Metal Spirits/Build figures listed. https://p-bandai.com/us/cont/campaign/presidentsday2022
  15. So this is now going to be a thing starting in 2022. Evangelion. Godzilla. Ultraman. Kamen Rider vs Kaiju! The project will bring together properties from Toei, Toho, Tsuburaya Productions, and Hideaki Anno’s Studio Khara. It is unclear what form the project will take but, more details are promised for later in the year. https://sjhu.jp/#project_top (Anyone remeber Weta Workshop's doomed live action Evangelion that never took off?)
  16. Hayate figureRise bust mod from Kaname. Oil Pallet painting style for a Delta display. 1/48 FI-YAAAA conversion of a Hase VF-19. Amazing weathering on a a VF-0D from Zero.

    Macross figures

Shouldn't be. The figures have the titles Ranka Amaterasu (Sun Goddess) and Sheryl Tsukuyomi (Moon Goddess). I can't see Ranka's Labrynth of Time figure being mixed into that. More options... which we'd get the SMS team though.

    Arcadia VF-5000G

    And greatful for it.
  19. How many in you fleet is that now? You a production factory R! It was more geared toward MT. It sound unbelievably difficult. But we must remember not to discredit other's efforts to keep the hobby forward and upward no matter how much we sometimes struggle. It's really true for any hobby, skill or craft. It can be so easy to just put yourself (and others) down when we are feeling down ourselves even if we don't mean to. This is a special hobby that doesn't play favorites. The times I've been embarrassed in ability by someone younger, someone less fortunate is absurd. I can still remember the heartbreak of the first time I entered a gunpla competition only to get swept by someone 1/2 my age with 1/2 the experience, with 1/2 the scale and 1/2 the $$$ invested in a kit. Or the complete opposite happen when a 92 year old WW2 vet at an IPMS gathering who was gravely injured, couldn't even hold a brush steady and blew everyone away using that as an advantage in his weathering. With the magic of the internet and the advances in social connection it is really easy to be discouraged. In an age where people tend to only share the best things in their life and their successes in It's hard not to compare yourself to others. We're not seeing the many times when that superglue tube exploded when we needed a dab, spilled paint, lost parts or failed projects that just seemingly disappear from the internet. These struggles are things that get fixed in time when effort is applied and we learn from the past. And on a personal level, pengbuzz it is also important to remember that your building things really fast from scratch and in one go. That is amazing Take a look at something like the design sketch of a car. A team spends months and years just sketching and sculpting 'scrap' before the final project is designed. You may not be happy with your Batmobile model but, it also could just be your first draft if you choose. Sometimes we cannot really understand what we are working on until we physically have it in front of us to use as a model, for measurements, or a more through understanding of the often more complex design in a non-2D form. It simply is hard. But, it is your choice whether to pick yourself back up or not. It may take more time than someone else, more resources, more money, more tries, and more heart. So set that heart on fire. Ignite the passion or let burn with envy. Either way we will be here, looking forward to what you may do next.
  20. I cannot say that I agree with that at all. Clean=time+skill(effort)
  21. Am I the only one who wishes the marking were in white and not gold? IDK the pink and gold just don't look as good as a deeper red would.
  22. More lining. Across the spine and down to the wing tips. The secondary engines, what a headache... I mean what fun. Some more to go but the remaining sketched bits are about it. I'll forgo the small hatch details for the time being until it is further along. Still thinking about crashing this bird. The idea of building some inner structure showing through the damaged parts is intriguing.
