  1. I love this poster.
  2. DAMN! BAD @s$!
  3. WOW! That looks FANTASTIC! The only thing I hate about the 1:48's are the "chicken fingers." Those new hands look amazing! EXCELLENT work! Thanks for fixing the 1:48's!
  4. Partly due to M. Bay. When it should be called "Sam Witwickey" and not Transformers. If you watch the first two movies, the Transformers are harley in the film. As a Transformers fan, I'd like to see a series that focuses on the Transformers. I don't give a crap about Sam crying about this or that. Or the dumb @ss M. Bay jokes. Just give me the Transformers. The humans have become the "Snarf"* of Transformers. The annoying, not funny comic relief. If you're going to have humans, they should have some major significance to the storyline other than "it takes place on Earth" or for comic relief. *I was referring to the Snarf of the OLD SCHOOL Thundercats. The new version of Thundercats is awesome, and Snarf is acceptable in that show.
  5. That's a great box set. Mospeada is one of the only shows that the mecha really grab me. Even up against Macross. I always hoped someone would continue the story. Or the toy line. But I don't see it happening.
  6. Try to think of it like this. This is a prequel to JC's The Thing. Both films are about a creature that can mimic anything it consumes... So, it's mostly fitting that it has the same title. Mostly.
  7. Damn it! How am I going to afford THIS too? That is one SEXY Valk. That head sculpt turned out far better than I hoped. Just awesome.
  8. The 0A had a lot of issues. I went through 3 of them before giving up on the mold. All had the same shoulder breakage issues.
  9. There's a 1:60 Phalanx on the horizon. I think I read a February release date, but I can't seem to verify where I read that right now. Maybe someone on the boards can help. I think the biggest Spartan you can get is the 1/72. You can find them for cheap once in a while on eBay. I hope Yamato does do a 1:60 Spartan. Their Tomahawk and Defender and AMAZING, and I am STOKED about the Phalanx (although it's rumored to be a MODEL only, like the Battlepod-aka Regult, and 1:2000 SDF-1). And while we're at it, let's hope for a 1:60 Monster too.
  10. I cannot get over how nice the VF-1 is at that small of a scale. I hope BanDai has future releases in store for this line.
  11. Have you guys seen the international poster yet? It's great!

    Movie Stuff

Macross / Robotech / Mospeada releated... Or not.
  13. There are a few websites I go to prior to making a large Robotech / Macross / Mospeada purchase, and anymoon.com is one of them. Not only are the pictures great, but the reviews are well broken up into specific categories, the rating system is great and the written reviews are logical and well written. Don't always 100% agree with Jenuis, but you do have to hand it to him, his site rocks.
  14. That was the fad for a blink in the 80's. Remember the Pac Man cartoon? It was terrible. My pal tells me there was even a Q Bert cartoon, but thank God, I don't remember anything about it.
  15. Never been a fan of the fire valk, but after looking at that picture with the sound booster attached...wow. That is just crazy wicked! Makes me want to get one now!
  16. Still lovin' my 1/48's! :-) Thanks again! You rock!

  17. That's just how the industry works. And opposite of the price increases, when toys don't sell, they get marked down. Such was the fate of most of the new Mospeada toys...they're all in the clearance bins. I wish I knew the scale of this fighter. Is it going to be a larger fighter, like the SV-51, or smaller, like the VF-1? If it's smaller in size than the fire Valk, maybe it'll be a little less up front. My wallet is hoping this is the case anyhow!
  18. I applied for work at HG many years ago. Back when I lived in LA. They actually handle several different businesses. Anime is only one of them. They also do independent film distribution and real estate. And, Robotech isn't the only IP they own. So, even during a dryspell, which Robotech fans are now experiencing now... again , HG has other sources of revenue coming in that keeps them afloat.
  19. Thanks for the heads up on the 1J. I had to sacrifice another v2 1:60 to fix the shoulders on my 1J. I had the version with the fast packs. One of my first v2's I got...and man, my heart sank when I saw that crack. But now that it's fixed, I love flying it around the house! Such a beautiful fighter. So iconic too. Probably the second most iconic VF-1 behind the Skull Leader 1S. Anyhow, thinking about getting a second 1J for a GBP. Want to get the gray visor edition...but I'm terrified of having to sacrifice another valk!
  20. Hey, now. Play nice. Relax. Take a deep breath. Take your medication. I have 3 v2 1/60 Valks with broken hinges. I didn't get any hinges either. That's the way it goes. Sell your broken valks and pick up new ones from HLJ with the fixed arms. Problem fixed. Do NOT blame or get angry with someone who is trying to help. He is NOT being paid by Yamato for this service. He was doing it to be nice. Don't be a crybaby about it. So you missed out. I did too. And we're not the only ones. Yes, you sent 1 million emails to Graham, but if your tone reflected your attitude even remotely in the post above, I wouldn't get back to you either. TALK to people. Be nice to them. Especially when they are trying to HELP you on their own accord. Being an angerball about it doesn't get you anywhere. As someone mentioned above, blame Yamato. Don't blame the man trying to fix THEIR issue. Sheesh.
  21. I just saw Sky Captain and the Wold of Tomorrow. I feel the same as you. The concept was a BLAST. Some of the ideas were great fun. It felt like a comic strip in some parts. But overall, meh. If they spent more time making that script work...better characters. More action. More of a plot...the elements where there on screen. But, :"without a script, a special effect is a boring thing." I don't want to say who said that, cause it seems ironic now. But you get the drift.
