  1. There are more important factors that decides which gets made first, and it's popularity and prominance in the anime... hence of the two it should be the yf-21 if anything. Given how well the yf-19 is projected to do, I think it's only a matter of time we'll see CADs on hobby mags... It almost sounds like you're setting the price at will. I really wish the prices you mention is what I can get one at. No one's speculating this to be more expensive because we think so... the japanese retail price is higher than the vf-0 and many of the online toy stores are estimating it to be around $185 before shipping, hence that is where $200 shipped is coming from. I'm going to buy my first from Neova which'll be $180 shipped to the US. $180 Shipped at Neova usually means you can probably get em at $170- if LUCKY$165 on ebay from HK w/ dent boxes and broken fins included. My money's going to Neova.
  2. I think this has got to be one of the most painful waits I've had to endure... all for a friggin toy. puahaha... I still think it'll be in my hands in time for christmas... I think yamato is banking on this toy as THE centerpiece of their christmas lineup... More than worry about it being delayed I'm worried if they push them out too fast with double left shoulders to boot. Oh well, I'm gettin me an ED-209 in the mean time so that'll alleviate the pain somewhat...
  3. I'd actually prefer the 19 in fighter. I kinda gave up on yamato's box sizes now... if they had any inclination to shrink them they would have already. Just get the QC right the first time around yamato...
  4. Welcome to MW~ Yamato shifted from using mostly metal diecast to minute diecast parts in recent releases. They're usually the parts that are prone to breakage after multiple transformations.
  5. If anything, I think if they're included, they'll be included in the fastpack fold booter kit.
  6. The view must be fantastic when it's right in your hands, huh? sighhh.... It's good to be Graham.
  7. hahahaha~ nice way to put the fold booster~ Regarding that, I wish I can just get the fast packs because I agree, the fold booster looks like a ladies light up happy toy. I also agree that the Ghost is awesome. It looks good and more people here will probably jump on the bandwagon when we see the badass in some badass metallic gun metal paint. I guess we're more or less letting yamato know that there are limits to price. They've been on a roll these days and we dont want to let them think in their head that they can basically print money. Price it reasonably and I KNOW I'm buying a couple.
  8. Why is everyone so into having yang back there?? He's a nerdy dude that'll look totally off sculpted in 1/60... I honestly like the yf-19 as a single seater because the two seater absolutely does nothing to change the overall look to it... doesn't enhance it and I'm sure a 1/60 micro-Yang wouldn't make it any sexier either... Keep it single seated, I say. I think as far as the big features goes, I think we got a look at all of them... The only things I think are maybe left are features like the slide up tail fin or double jointed elbow (features that contribute to the standard functions of the toy) but nothing like the removeable head visor or gunpod clip.
  9. If it costs the same as a 1/48 fastpack that'll be definitely over the threshold for me...
  10. HOLY. SHIET. Thanks for the pics Graham! Wow, this is what I get for sleeping early last night... missed two pages of this shiet! Damn this looks awesome. I'm jumping up and down that they stuck with the black canopy lining. ...and dayam, they actually went in and painted the opened edges too, which they didnt do for previous valks. I'm so glad they stuck with the bluish grey rather than a blue... I'm so happy~~~ sniff sniff** The extra features are all welcome.... I'm pretty good with not losing removeable stuff so it's great, however I do think a couple people here will wail when their 19's visor falls off into the abyss. The twisting elbow is genius, as is how they handled the canards for battroid transformation. The place where the hips join in fighter! The mechanical detail! That's nice! Everything looks good. Concerns I have: -I hope the macross kite is tampoed on because I dont know how they expect us to put a sticker on a place that opens up for tranformation. -The elbow, although ingenious, looks like a possible QC issue waiting to happen. -So many parts that separate, (which is more to do with kawamori) I fear there might be gaps and more chances of loose joints a lot people here despise. I hope for the sake of improving the image of their first runs, they tighten every bloody joint like a rusted tin man... make people work out for a different pose!
  11. yup. foldable intake covers would be a pain anyway to fold back to closed position. I rather them concentrate on taking out the unsightly gaps and tampo printing all markings including the macross kite.
  12. If anything I think it has something to do with the lighting of the picture...
  13. well whatever we see, we'll see in a couple days~ I also hope they finally let the cat out of the bag with the 21!

Haha! Lemme guess, you think it's the yf-21!? I think so too... Graham got us playing hangman for all this time but I think the 21 spaces correlates to the yf-21

BEST comment yet this thread. It's pointless really... Honestly, Graham is awesome for providing scans every month, relaying our concerns over to yamato, providing this area where we can talk about the common passion we have in Macross, but as far as advanced info goes, we get what the mags release. Spy prototype shots actually come from the very nice members who take shots at conventions and stores, not from graham... Anyone with an imagination can figure out more about yamato's future plans than relying on the info graham is allowed to give us... "2007_ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ !" uhhhhh............................................................................................. #$%$^@#$%@#$!~!!! soo..... 2007 WHAT?? Give us a bloody letter or two! Like we didn't know shiet will come out next year... Shiet comes out EVERY fricken year... and just as predictable (and funny) as that fact is how and when they allow Graham to reveal all this shiet... DRUMROLL~~~~~~~~~~ w/ Mags scans all of japan already looked at for a day or two... I mean at least let the bloke release some high res images the mags are using... instead they restrain him to the point where he's playing hang man with us (but without letters!) yipeee!

I know it's not a model because he is the TOY man of MW and he also didn't even know about the Wave SDF-1 coming out before someone here posted about it... I believe anything he knows about in advance (prior to any official announcement) is probably related to toys... hence it's a toy(s)... more specifically with where his allegiance lies, YAMATO. So it's a YAMATO TOY(s). I also think his hint about it possibly being a toy from a different company is rubbish... Unless he's made some connections with some other manufacturer, which since it can possibly have yamato miffed, the chances of that, I think, are pretty slim.. The most telling quote from Graham's post is the following: Yeah, thanks a lot Grahammister~ acting like you're giving us a hint when it's just another screw in the head~ haha
  17. Fully detailed and painted like that already? I doubt it... usually the first thing we see is some cad stuff... to see a painted prototype especially shelved like that in a local japanese store is a bit too soon... honestly though, I wish I was wrong. EDIT: that looks like it CAN be a 1/60 scale sv-51... since it's behind the vf-0s... the size seems about right... more than that though... the WHOLE display seems to be yamato... kinda strange if there's just ONE hase model there filled with yamatos, No? Still leaning on it being a model though... Graham can you confirm??
  18. WOW... THAT. IS. HOTNESS. I was so concentrated on all the yamato stuff coming out the end of this year, I completely missed this one... YAMATO TAKE NOTE. This toy is an example of how much detail and awesomeness $200 bucks should be able to buy. After being so used to yamato prices, you forget how much a couple hundred can get you elsewhere. I knew & loved Robocop before I even knew about Macross so this one and the 12 inch robo is a MUST GET BY ALL MEANS NECESSARY for me. I guess I have to hold off on getting a 360 until next spring...
  19. the sculpt definitely blows away anything out right now... I still want to reserve final judgement when we see the final paint, the tampo printed markings, and sturdiness of the thing.... The resin sculpt prototype blows away even the supernova kit IMO...
  20. I'll try to explain this as I dont have a camera. If you look at the dual hinge straight on (in folded up position) the mold of the thin part of the hinge should be in the shape of a bold capital "T". You see this most well if your valk is in fighter or in gerwalk and you're looking straight at the three BP8 thrusters.... it's right underneath that flappy panel attached to the rear of the backpack thrusters. Now the horizontal part of that "T" should wedge into the back pack just a little to provide the tension required to keep the bp8 in place... This can be accomplished by pushing down on the rear of the backpack gently.... if you look at the dual hinge from the side it should create a wide "V"... the end result should be that the V is still wide, but as close together as possible... Extend out the hinge first to bring the larger part of the hinge out then press down to make the "V". Don't press too hard... You gotta have good judgement on the amount of pressure these parts can take. If I do this with my 0S, I can actually flip the valk over and the BP8 would move no more than a millimeter... Good luck.
  21. crap dual post.... DAMN Comcast high speed... reset on me again.
  22. It wasn't an attacking comment. I'm apologize if it seemed that way. However , I do recall you expressing much concern over yamato first runs which is why I assumed you've had some unpleasant experiences with their QC issues and hence the reason for my comment. I was over careful with my vf-0s and it's backpack, but upon applying just a bit of force up it happily stays in place. Anyways, if all fails, I suppose then this is your first sabotaged valk.
  23. Dude, I suggest you find a different valk manufacturer... Seems as though yamato is personally picking on all the valks you buy and sabotaging them... Seriously.. "No joint tension whatsoever?" c'mon now... Either you're exaggerating or the above might just be the case... It stays in place if you push it up (as far as you can without breaking the thing). I'm actually flipping mine over for gravity's full effect on it and it's still staying in place.... and I'm talking about my vf-0s here... it's even more secure in the vf-0a.

Graham has tendencies... He usually starts teasing us a couple weeks before something is announced officially... Given that the hobby mags come out in a week, I'm guessing we'll know about whatever he's teasing us with then.
