That new G1 Convoy that's coming out? Fantofan.jp stated that according to the most recent Dengeki Hobby Mag, it was designed by a Mister "Kawamori, S." Interesting eh?

They're pricey as hell, but very high-quality figures. The sculpt and detail are superb, they have more articulation than most Marvel Legends figures, and the quality of plastic used is great - the Guyver 1 and 2 use a softer type of plastic on the armour that gives it a real organic feel. It's hard to describe. I don't regret buying all three, they're great. The only quibbles I have with them are that on 1 and 2, the shoulder-armor pops off very easily, and that for all three of them the Mega-Smasher covers can also tend to pop off.

Guyver III's shoulders are designed differently than I and II's. Better, IMO. And yes, the re-issue does have dark blades, which are very cool.

The Gigantic Armor is the product of Sho’s control medal interfacing with the last fully living Creator spaceship in what was called Relic’s Point where it was buried. It’s been theorized that the spaceships themselves (which are organic) are covered in a large bio-booster armor, hence their ability for flight etc. When it sensed it’s little “brother†(Guyver 1) getting the be-jeezus kicked out of him by Archanfel, it created the Gigantic armor for him. Sho used the armour exclusively for a while, until Agito also attempted to use it (his attempt worked, hence the Dark Gigantic). They basically “shared†the one set of armour, until Agito, imposing his will, “commanded†the Gigantic armour to remove itself from Sho (who was fighting 3 Zoalords at that moment) and place itself on him. Since then, Agito’s been controlling the armour and wreaking havoc on Chronos. Meanwhile Sho has been reduced to his Guyver 1 abilities, which are NOT upgraded and are the same as the very first moment he bonded with the armour. Whether or not he reclaims the Gigantic from Agito is up in the air. This is according to the Manga. I think I’m going to wait for the January Guyver Gigantic release, as I prefer it to the Dark.

Turn A is really one of the best, if not the best, Gundam series around. Like you, I was horrified when I first saw the designs of the MS's, especially the moustached Turn A. But they did grow on me - although if I could re-edit the series i'd place the classic Gundam's head on the body of the Turn A - I still just hate the face (even Katoki's FIX re-imagination is better than Myd's design I think). Anyway, it's some great, great sci-fi. If you can get past the designs, you're in for a real treat.

You're talking about Hyperdyne right? His blades are absolutely sick. Blindingly powerful. He's also just developed a bluetooth soundboard for the saber hilts too - i'm keeping a close on his progress - when he starts to offer his kits, i'm definitely sending in my just-purchased-as-an-xmas-gift-to-myself Anakin saber. Speaking of which, for those of you in Canada who want to get an Annie or Vader do the following - get the latest Toys R Us flyer, which lists them both at 129.99. Go to Best Buy or Futureshop with the flyer. They'll price match the sabers, plus knock off an additional ten percent. I did this when the sabers were at full price at TRU for 149.99 and ended up getting the Annie at Best Buy for $134. I might even get a vader during this deal (it would come at around 117 before tax). Finally, i've seen first hand that the copper button and gold plated switch on the Anakin ROTS saber wears off pretty easily. Is there any way to preven this? Anyone know how to fix it? Can you get the pieces replated somehow? Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Did you see what they did with Lisker though? That wasn't in the manga, was it? (I'm glad they expanded his character personally)
-
Guyver-Fansubs is the best of the bunch, absolutely. But they are ridiculously slow when it comes to releases. Like Hikuro said, the latest episode to air in Japan was 15, while they are only on Ep 3.

Wasn't this about the time the MPC Voltron was supposed to come out? There are only a few more days left of November....so what gives? Will I be able to grab one for Christmas, or wait until the New Year? Anyone have an idea?

No, that’s not the HCM-Pro Strike-Freedom and it’s not the 1/144. It’s the Strike-Freedom MSIA that I modified by attaching the HG 1/144 wings to its back in what was a very easy modification. Pay attention to meeee!
-
Here are the photo’s of my modded Strike-Freedom MSIA – I took the wings off of the HG 1/144 SF kit and attached them to the back of the MSIA. All I did was cut down a nail that fit into the connectors of the MSIA and insert it into the model’s wing joint, then popped them on. They work very well and make the MSIA feel whole.

I found Victory difficult to get into though, it took a good twenty eps. Also, i agree wholeheartedly that Zeta is waaay over-rated. Frankly, I thought it was pretty crappy - and to this day I don't get why it's considered to be so amazing. I much preferred Gundam X and even Seed over it. I will admit that Destiny was worse though, which given how much I was boosting the Seed universe is saying a LOT.

Nah, I bet it has to do with the negativity. The mods of the old Gundamwatch forums all moved over to the GOUF forums en masse, and they could have given the mods over at Robotech.com a run for their money in terms of censorship and post deletions. But when crap happens, all the deleting in the world won't stop people from talking about it. I imagine it got to be too much for even them to moderate and so they or Bandai themselves pulled the plug. Mind you, if it was Bandai who did it they brought it on themselves with the terrible way they handled the ending of Seed Destiny

I don't know who was ultimately responsible for this travesty, nor do I care - i'm just so disgusted right now. I cannot believe how quickly this series just degraded. It started off so well, I was so pumped for it, and now after having watched the last episode I can barely keep my bile down. Kira, Athrun, Mwu and company getting out of it all without so much as a scratch, Rey shooting Gil at the end for no apparent reason, Talia deciding to die with Gil while leaving her young boy motherless....ridiculous. But the ultimate insult is what happened with Shinn. Here's a character that was groomed to be the star headliner, given the most powerful MS yet, and he descends into stupidity, anger, and gets his MS completely owned by Athrun halfway through the show, leaving him sitting on the sidelines and crying by show's end. What the hell sort of Destiny is that?? I hope that if they ever make a Seed 3 they redeem his character, and do him justice. He started off so multi-layered and torn, and ended up being reduced to a secondary joke. Just terrible. I'm so angry right now it's not funny. I feel betrayed by this show after investing so much time into it.
-
I was one of those GSD boosters before, but not anymore. I'm disgusted at how this show has degraded. Even more at how Shinn will apparently get his ass handed to him early on in the next ep. Way to go character development Ugh. This show was like Star Trek Voyager, so much wasted potential. The only thing I like about it are that the MS's are damn cool, but we barely see any of them either. Please get rid of Fukuda. Don't let him near another Gundam series.
-
Really weak. God, i'm just so disappointed with the way Destiny ended up being treated. I really hope they fire Fukuda for the next series. All i'll be tuning in for for the next two eps are the fight scenes, and i'm sure they'll even skimp on that!
-
Argh, i've had it. I've been the biggest Destiny booster around, but even i've had enough. This show has just descended to the ridiculsous. Episode 47, and we're getting a bloody recap ep of a character that people could care less about?? This is the worst example of filler that i've ever seen! I just keep imagining some random Anime fan tuning into this show expecting MS vs MS action and instead watching some pink haired lady dance around for half an hour, and then turning it off. It doesn't even look like we'll see any of these spiffy MS in action next episode! The Dom Troopers, Meteor, Akatsuki, Infinite Justice....why bother introducing these mechs? Ugh. Let this series just end already. Maybe the rumoured third series will actually get some decent creative staff.
-
Hey, Gunota has posted some good news for all you Seed Haters! Whoops, did I say good news? I meant bad More and more confirming that Shin will eat a bullet in the final ep of Destiny, or turn into a vegetable.
-
If anything, I think Shinn is going to go the way of Camille. The allusions to Zeta Gundam in the opening make me pretty certain that Shinn will probably die, most likely in a heroic self-sacrifice at the very end when he realizes that Rey and Dullindal were manipulating him.

Oh man, i'd snap up a Yamato SDF-1 in a second. Come on guys, you've gotta make one! Looking at the SDF-1 models there, it would have been a lot cooler if they could've retconned the TV model as "SDF-1" and the DYRL model as "SDF-3" or such..... oops, wrong series! hahahaha
-
Come on you guys, stop talking about cartoon politics and shift to reality! Specifically, the reality that the Strike Freedom MSIA has no Dragoons and how to bash it to give it some! I know there are people who know how on here....
-
Anyone got any suggestions on how to modify the Strike-Freedom MSIA to incorporate de-tacheable dragoons (apart from simply cutting them off completely )
-
That's called characterization. You can *feel* the romantic tension there as he ponders the request!
-
Well, it's official - NO DRAGOONS for the Strike-Freedom MSIA: http://www.excite.co.jp/world/english/web/...p=JAEN&wb_dis=2 Dammit, that's REALLY weak Bandai. Seriously. Not including the main defining gimmick of the suit?? WTF. I really cannot express how much I was looking forward to this figure, and how disappointed I am in it now.

crosszgundams rules! i've been buying off him for the last year and he blows stores like HLJ out of the water. As an example, I ordered the Gaia/Chaos/Abyss MSIA's from both crossz and HLJ at the same time. It was only about a week AFTER I had gotten the figures in from crossz that HLJ sent me an email telling me they had JUST shipped the figures. 3 weeks later they were there. Crossz usually gets the figures to me in a week, sometimes under, and i'm in Canada. Somehow it always by-passes customs too, so no duties either. I haven't been disappointed by him yet!
