So, are we back to square one in regards to these parts? My figure's shoulders are all glued up, so my pics probably wouldn't be very useful.
-
Thanks for stepping up kir! If mine are still needed also, let me know. And it doesn't have to be said, but put me down for two sets of these things as well (and a BP-8 for the 1/48's ....just in case).
-
I absolutely agree. If this were even a $100 toy, maybe. But for the prices they're at? No way.
-
Ok, no problem, let me know if you need them then. Hopefully someone else has a set to volunteer.
-
So all jokes aside, is the part useful, or too gummy to use?
-
I couldn't find that stuff when I went looking for it. Would you recommend using it ontop of already applied krazy glue, or do you think that'd be overkill?
-
Let me work on it a bit
-
Here you go. The other shoulder is untouched and uncracked.

Can you make use of mine even if i've added glue to my left shoulder assembly?
-
My VF-0's left shoulder is covered in crazy glue right now - I don't think you'd be able to get a proper mold out of it? Correct me if i'm wrong though.
-
I'm in for two sets - PLEASE! You'd be like Santa Clause if you did this, except with more overtechnology (wait....)
-
Oh god, please please PLEASE make a set of resin parts!! I just bought a VF-0A for xmas and the arm broke on the first transformation. I'd buy these in a second. You would save Christmas for me if you did!
-
Just opened my VF xmas gift, and noticed that both shoulders were a little loose. I looked in and saw that the left arm had a nice large crack in it! It's almost completely broken off. I crazy glued it now, but feel absolutely nauseous inside. I feel like i've just pissed away 200 dollars for nothing! Dammit! I passed on MP 03 Starscream to get this figure because I thought it would be sturdier, but wound up with a broken toy anyway. I'm really pissed right now, this has ruined xmas for me. What the hell can I do about this? Does Yamato offer individual parts for sale for the VF-0's? Should I try to superheat the plastic and melt it back together? Or is crazy glue and nervous fear anytime I transform this figure the only option for me now? ARGH.
-
I wouldn't think so, i've used them in the past and they're pretty resilient to handling.
-
What do you use to coat the valk with after panel lining with a pencil? Do you just spray it all over generally, or apply the coat by hand to the lined parts? Isn't there a fear that the clear coat may "gum up the works"? I've just gotten a new VF-0A and want to line it, so any tips on this would be appreciated
-
So just to confirm then - once I get my VF-0A, I should immediately unscrew the shoulder assembly and loosen up the bicep screws? Is there anything else I should do to make sure the arms don't snap off of my expensive christmas gift?
-
What's wrong with my Yamato, Bandai, etc.

I've just ordered a VF-0A for myself for Xmas, and just read this! What do you guys suggest I do to avoid this cracking from happening once I open my figure? -
Watched the Hiro subbed version of it last night. Much, much better than Episode 50! I still hate the way the Destiny got powned by Justice, but I can stomach it a bit better after watching this ep. If you watch the series from the perspective that Shinn's anger and singlemindedness were the only things keeping him from being a truly great pilot, Athrun beating him down make sense. Now that he's been able to let go of the past and "see the light", I hope they show him exceed the abilities of Kira and Athrun in the third series. And say what you will about Care Bears, but I really liked the added scenes of Athrun rescuing Shinn and Luna, and then the meeting of the 6 at the end of the ep. Very well done. Now Kira or Athrun have to die.

What? None of you MW's are going nuts over Kawamori designing a Transformer?? http://www.fantofan.jp/news/mag/dengekihobby/feb2006-6.jpg

That new G1 Convoy that's coming out? Fantofan.jp stated that according to the most recent Dengeki Hobby Mag, it was designed by a Mister "Kawamori, S." Interesting eh?

They're pricey as hell, but very high-quality figures. The sculpt and detail are superb, they have more articulation than most Marvel Legends figures, and the quality of plastic used is great - the Guyver 1 and 2 use a softer type of plastic on the armour that gives it a real organic feel. It's hard to describe. I don't regret buying all three, they're great. The only quibbles I have with them are that on 1 and 2, the shoulder-armor pops off very easily, and that for all three of them the Mega-Smasher covers can also tend to pop off.

Guyver III's shoulders are designed differently than I and II's. Better, IMO. And yes, the re-issue does have dark blades, which are very cool.

The Gigantic Armor is the product of Sho’s control medal interfacing with the last fully living Creator spaceship in what was called Relic’s Point where it was buried. It’s been theorized that the spaceships themselves (which are organic) are covered in a large bio-booster armor, hence their ability for flight etc. When it sensed it’s little “brother†(Guyver 1) getting the be-jeezus kicked out of him by Archanfel, it created the Gigantic armor for him. Sho used the armour exclusively for a while, until Agito also attempted to use it (his attempt worked, hence the Dark Gigantic). They basically “shared†the one set of armour, until Agito, imposing his will, “commanded†the Gigantic armour to remove itself from Sho (who was fighting 3 Zoalords at that moment) and place itself on him. Since then, Agito’s been controlling the armour and wreaking havoc on Chronos. Meanwhile Sho has been reduced to his Guyver 1 abilities, which are NOT upgraded and are the same as the very first moment he bonded with the armour. Whether or not he reclaims the Gigantic from Agito is up in the air. This is according to the Manga. I think I’m going to wait for the January Guyver Gigantic release, as I prefer it to the Dark.

Turn A is really one of the best, if not the best, Gundam series around. Like you, I was horrified when I first saw the designs of the MS's, especially the moustached Turn A. But they did grow on me - although if I could re-edit the series i'd place the classic Gundam's head on the body of the Turn A - I still just hate the face (even Katoki's FIX re-imagination is better than Myd's design I think). Anyway, it's some great, great sci-fi. If you can get past the designs, you're in for a real treat.
