I would say you should talk to whoever you purchased the Valkyrie from and see if they can help you out. I don't know about HJL's parts service but it not easy (nearly impossible) to get parts alone. Its much easier to replace the whole Valkyrie though. Good luck! KingNor's suggestion is great. JB weld is REALLY tough. Welded a lock to a metal door with 2 tap rivets and that thing is rock solid, even with hard use. Without the JB weld, the lock would eventually wear the rivets loose and need replacement.

HJL should have been able to take care of that if you ship the Valk back to them since it was new . They can replace it for you through Yamato. I think you have to cover at least one way or both ways shipping costs though. Good luck!

Once you've see them in action with Super / Strike setup and compare them to ANY toy Valkyrie out there, you know they're worth their weight in gold. Choice between Roy or Hikaru? How about Max? You can't lose with either.

Its a Movie that summarizes the entire Macross SDF-1 TV series, but with minor changes. Robotech never spawned from DYRL since that was in production before DYRL was released. It is pure Macross. The original DVD comprises of original Japanese only audio track with Japanese and English subtitles. It is a region 2 dvd (japan only) so I hope you have a modified, all region stand alone dvd player or dvd drive on your pc. It cost roughly 9800 YEN = 110 USD or so but can be found online for a tad cheaper. Do a search and you can find some links on where to buy it.

Hong Kong just got in their REAL Macross SDF-1 TV Boxed sets or so I'm told. Its 10 DVDs, 2 box set, but with Japanes and Chinese subtitles only with Japanese only audio tracks. Cost is 660 HKD = 86 USD. This is good for Chinese reading Macross fans. Even the bootleggers said that was the original deal, and not a bootleg. I might have to pick this up and run it with on a PC supporting external subs. Anybody have Animeigo's english subtitles handy?

The Y are prototype variants. V are for production machines. Macross Plus has YF-19 and YF-21 while Macross 7 and on had VF designations for the 19 and 21 (and 22, etc...). Its funny that Macross Zero did not have YF-0 designations for those Valkyries but I guess the OVA timeframe had the planes out of "beta" testing.

Welcome to the 1/48 Club! You made a great decision to go with the VF-1S with Super & Strike pack but now I'm afraid what you'll think when you see all of the cool custom 1/48s here! Take in a deep breath and revel in their magnificence.

007-vf1, Which exo squad is that? The little 6" - 7" in the card backed blister pack or the bigger 8- 9" version? That is a GREAT custom job!

If you're talking about a resin high detail version of that old arii kit, Monkey Nugget already made it. It cost $350, looks FANPHUGGINTASTIC, is 1/72 scale, but weighs so much, it would cost $100-150 for shipping! Gazooks! I voted for the GBP-S simply based on feasibility and price. I too would have preferred a VB-6 Konig but ... If there is a Macross God (no, Graham is not him but he is close), I wish he would make all of those kits available to us at reasonable prices. Sigh.

There were no fast packs in the picture and it looks like the regular YF-19a (1st or 2nd edition) with that tinge of plastikey yellow. I hope that is not the newest YF-19a. The stand supports 1/72, 1/60 and 1/48 Valkyries and I bet it will also support the 1/100 Macross Zero line too, seeing how Yamato likes to re-scale their toys to roughly the same size (1/100-1/60 scales).

LTSO, I didn't mean to sound like a party pooper! Friends? I was just concerned about other issues that coincide with production of an item for sale. I 'm a Product Manager in real life so I got lost in my own thoughts. I voted, regardless of price!

I didn't vote yet but I want people to see 007-VF-1s comments below before voting. We could cut a few out of the polls unless you specify the kits will be different: eg. VF-4 and VF-11 Battroid kits instead of fighters which exists already. Also, isn't putting ALL of those options into 1 price range is a tad unrealistic? eg Konig Monster vs GBP-S armor kit for the same relative price? Maybe some new polls would help clarify: up to 25 USD kits up to 50 USD kits up to 75 USD kits up to 100 USD kits and let people specify what they would actually pay for or think is worth within each price range. Course we could just say we'll pay X for what we voted for.

Major, I suggest you hit up the FAN WORKS forum. There are some incredible modelers there and I hope you and the community can work out something together. I had wanted to post this on your board but wat the hay. Would you guys ever consider adding mechs from post DYRL ala Macross VFX 1 and 2? I would love to see the SDF-2, SDF-3, Valhalla, VF-4C, Y/VF-19, 21, VF-22, VF-11c, VF-17 S/D, VF-3000/5000 and etc... all in one mod / game. Just a thought.

Really impressive. Right up there with the masters wmcheng, jung, kurt and others.
