Yamato 1/48 TV and DYRL Valkyrie, 1/60 DYRL, TV , Macross Zero series, and 1/100 VF-X series parts to be offered again! Read the rules below! NEW UPDATE: Silver Dragon Recast Parts Now Available! Click for info and pricing now! Also, VF-1S Head Recasts Now Available! DYRL Color matched 99%! VF-1S head with color tinted visor Thank you Rohby, NB4M and Silver Dragon for these fine products! You will need to have the parts painted to color match now. But please specify if you need Roy, Hikaru, Max parts or TV parts in case someone has the correct color pieces. Back to the original thread: I'm starting a new thread since I needed the ability to EDIT the first post to keep the list updated. If the mods could pinned this or have someone take over the thread who can update the list, that would be great. In the meantime, I will do the best I can for all MWers and fellow Yamato Macross Fanatics. I thank Rob - Samurai Monkey for his help and community service by starting the original Yamato Parts Replacement Service Rules: 1) Only post your requests in this thread. Do NOT PM me for parts as I or others will PM you when the parts are available. 2) Include pictures if the part you want is not clear in the pictures below or to clarify a sub part. 3) Folks who NEED parts to REPAIR their Valkyries gets first priority. Everyone else, customizers, modders and etc... will have next dibs. 4) If other members has parts they can offer, PLEASE DO! Free parts exchange, swaps and trades are welcomed here. But, DO NOT post your parts for sale. Just PM folks who need parts that you have. Also update / edit your post /requests when you no longer NEED parts! 5) Please check this list for your current status and place in line for parts. I\'m not here to make money off this service. This is a free parts exchange thread and if I can offer the parts at break even, then I will. I also do this in my spare time in between jobs but will try to have a reasonable turn around. If I don\'t acknowledge your request or posts, I may be busy that day or week (its peak season for my company now). Please understand and thanks for putting away the noose and pitchforks. Recommend Prices for Original Yamato Parts before shipping charges: Head - $15 Heatshield - $10 Gunpod + strap - $15 Gunpod alone - $10 Strap - $10 (EDIT - so it\'s $10 alone, $5 with gunpod) Backpack hinge - $10 Rest of the parts - $5 each irregardless big or small...

You would think folks would read our SIGs as signs of promotion already. Besides posting away about toys, models and customs, I don't have time to pimp my services anymore than most other dealers. It is funny that most folks don't visit the dealer forums anyways. heh Maybe Shawn can give us dealers Vegas like flashing lights and nekkid hotties to pimp our services in our sigs. So in the meantime, I promise to think of ways to take as much of your money away as possible while selling crap knockoffs made from illegal child labor in some hidden sewage den where CHUD spawned near HG's headquarters. Just living up to my dealer responsibilities! My power to me! J/K for the humor impaired. BTW: I'm in Hong Kong if that matter, Rob is in Japan, Toy Wave is in Hong Kong and Noel is in Singapore. I don't know about the rest outside of the USA!

I like Sithlord's stand too but when I add shipping cost back to here, I can get the Yamato stands for nearly the same price. I'm also getting my 10 or so stands and at least 1 VF-0S to checkout. I just can't wait for a bigger super high detail VF-0S to come out so the little will tie me over for a while. It will also look cool next to the 1/100 VB-6 Konig Monster from Valkyrie.

A DAMN! Another custom to put on the list... What is your source for this and is this a TV or DYRL variant? Thanks for the pictures!

3 Minmay Chase figures? 1) Minmay Doll 2) Minmay Regular Blue Hair 3) Minmay Shower scene I'll buy it! I think I need to get that poster project going again.
-
RTHK is right. The Dark Blue Hair Minmay is the 2nd chase figure. I saw the cockpit alone for 30 bucks and portrait Minmay for ~ 16-18. I might actually go back and buy Minmay alone again since that is the BEST figure out of the lot, with the cockpit a close second IMO. I also just picked up the COMPLETE set of 11 figures for 85! I don't know where the heck you guys find sets for 40 - 50 cuz you should jump on them ASAP. If anyone needs a few loose ones, I have a few extras. Mostly Sara. I will post it in the for sale forum later after I snap pictures. Now if I can only find a complete set of #1. Sigh...

Dobber, You got MAD SKILLZ! Keep it up modeling brother!

FYI: MOST toy companies don't outright own their production facilities. How do you know? Yamato is based in Japan and the toys are made in China. Last I check, the only way an "outsider" could own property in Japan and China was to co-own it with a native partner or as a joint venture with the government. In most cases, Yamato would find other suitable factories (toys, PVC, ABS, etc...) to contract their production. MacFarland, Hasbro (Gi Joes, Takara), Mattel, everybody does this. So in terms of price, scalability and performance, there are a lot of choices out there. When a company gets big enough, I would not be surprised if they own one or two factories themselves though. But the initial startup cost is incredibley high and it is WAY cheaper to contract out. Of course you hit it on the nail in terms of economy to produce 1 scale, bang for the buck items (low cost, high profit) and Yamato must determine if there is a market for 3 grades of toys like Gundam. But for companies to stand out there, a premium kick ass product is one way to get their name out there, instead of swimming in a sea of "me too" products with other cheapy only toy companies. I would never suggest Yamato to apply this to all of their toys lines, but only to their premium line such as Macross which may, in time, gain enough marketshare to warrent such considerations. 1/60 and 1/48 has proven this and we hope they can expand on this concept when the time is right. Hopefully, WE current MW'ers won't get too old or have TOO much responsibility to be kepted from enjoy future "PV" grade Macross products.

Exo, GREAT LINK and yes, Castrol Super Clean doesn't work well on factory paint for the 1/48s. Howerver, 72 hours and counting in a tub soak which I will check on tomorrow. Crosses my fingers. I might try Kurt's idea of Isopropanol though.

That picture re-affirms my orders with Valkyrie! Can't wait! It would look so cool next to my future Yamato Konig and GH's Monster. Heavy Weapons rock!
-
Ah DAMN! Keep them coming EXO!!!!! /mutters to myself - what the hell am I doing at work saturday morning on a public holiday? There are Valkyries to be played with ....

I'm with Graham on expanding on M3, VFX, and VFX2. Add in story arcs for those custom squadrons we have and it would be an awesome fight fest. But aren't bugs just like protodevins in M7? Macross meets Aliens meets predator meets Ultraman ... And have a remake of M:SFD-1 visually updated with the same but enhanced music and audio. At least do the action sequences in surround sound DTS. And have Michael (Bad boys, Bad Boys 2, Armageddon, The Rock, Pearl Harbor - blow everything to kingdom come) Bay direct the action scenes in all future Macross animes.
-
So M7 is actually a parody of the Macross universe? Thanks for clearing that one up guys! I might actually start watching it now instead of referencing the DVDs for mech designs.
-
It's mislabled. Its just a current re-print of the Japanese only version of Macross SDF-1 TV series. Not sure if its re-mastered like AnimEigos but the 3 boxes looks just like the current bootleg set. Edit - notice it said out of print and it cost "US$ 137.98" for the first 12 episodes? What a ripoff! 450 USD for the whole set! I'm gonna snag AnimEigo's Remastered Edition ASAP!

PM spammed and can't determine my place in HK! I guess I'm safe from Zentradi bombardments for now. Oh wait, they annihilated the whole planet. -
I'm trying to find that UV-Tech locally here but its not available so haven't tried it yet. Hopefully Calvin can elaborate.
-
Interesting... 1) What scale is this kit? 2) Fighter only correct? 3) Do you have pictures of the original kit and if possible, compare both in quality. I want to see some comparisons shots to a Club M 1/72 VF-4 Fighter kit also. 4) will you clean up the excess flash before sending it out? Your price is good but in this day and time, re-casting has advanced a lot especially locally from where I'm at right now. Local price is competitive too so I actually expect a little more. But your kit is unique thus my interests. Keep casting and keep modeling!
-
Jesse, how is the quality of those 1/48 kits? I think I need to open my Macross models layaway account now... jebus... in a very good way!
-
Black Lights and flourescent paints looks way cool but will have some form of UV in it. I looked up UV-Tech a while ago and Calvin is the first guy to confirm using it. Awesome info.

Fugging sold out in HK! Damn! It just came out like a few hours ago!!! Grr... Calls my secret weapon to get me a full set!
-
Wasabi, Done! Here is the other manual picture for everyone's reference. I think we need to start a new thread for this!

Preach it brother Shin Densetsu Kai 7.0! I hope the higher ups at Yamato would also at least gauge the non-Japanese speaking market for bigger better Macross products. MW'ers collected UN Spacy force is nothing to sneeze at with almost 2700 Valkyries on alert. Yamato needs to work on their marketing by implementing a PV (Perfect Variable) or PT (Perfect Transformation) monikor ala PG from Bandai. Spit out the cheapy little guys (1/100 - MG grade), improve on them for the enthusists market (1/72 -1/60 - MG grade) and then release the 1/48 sized 12"+ with super detail PV line for the hardcores out there. For the monster here, I would settle for 1/100 MG grade for the mass market with a 1/72 or 1/60 PV footrest. Ok, I'll also take 4 1/48 scales and a 2" thick sheet of reinforced glassed table top for my new workstation. And two more to replace the sittings lions guarding the front entrance to our home.
-
I prefer cash in 100 USD bills but paypal would be fine. Please note that only folks who are listed for the parts from the first Valkyrie can get (or have gotten) parts for now. I will pm folks when the 2nd valkyrie is to be parted. If folks have parts spread across two Valkyries, then I will send those out after the 2nd Valkyrie has been parted which is soon, say end of the month or so. 2nd Valkyrie to be parted for parts will probably be a VF-1S Roy Fokker Re-issue.

The Super VF-1S giftset is the Holy Grail. But with the current prices of the original VE-1 and VT-1s, I think those are a close 2nd if not overtaking the leader, especially with near C9+ MIB versions floating around.
-
I voted reanimated into Macross VFX quality at minimum. Macross Zero / Yukikazi CGI + cel drawing mix and anamorphic 16:9 wide screen format with DTS EX re-encoding but no fugging the script with all cut parts put back would be awesome. I'll drop some bills for that, even if its a R2 only releases. And do the same for Flashback 2012 and include it as the extra disc this time! I don't want to pay the same price as DYRL DVD for 30 mins of music video.
