  1. This can be made as an add on kit ala FP and GBP. Swap out the nose cone if need be. Prices should be inline for an addon kit. I just don't know if its canon or not though.
  2. Haterist and Fulcy, No problem on posting the prices. I've worked with that price list because I was OFFERED those prices from folks at the beginning of this thread. In my first post, I did ask for MW members to help me work on fair prices, so long as members who are parting Valkyries do not end up loosing money on the Valkyries themselves. I thank the rest of you for understanding. It is a lot of work juggling a fulltime day job, taking care of our home and families, our Macross hobby and offering this service in our free time. Haterist: You now have an understanding of what Rob Monkey N must have gone through with Yamato trying to get parts and MW'ers request for parts. Or the rest of the sellers on this board goes through. Fulcy: Take care of that bloody hump first. You need repairing more than all of our broken Valkyries combined!
  3. I had forgotten about Future floor polish. Thats an even better deal if you have an airbrush setup. Paint, seal up paint with future, decal and weather, seal up paint with future again and matte down shine if need be. You can mix future with matte spray or even the UV spray if you test spray this first. Keeps the layers down. I would THINK you can prevent further yellowing by sealing up the toy since the chemical stabilizers won't dry out or evaporate. You can control humidity once the toy is sealed (its sealed) somewhat but temperature is harder unless you have a temp controlled room.
  4. Let me join the fun even though I don't know squat about figher planes: X-29 vs F-15 Active vs ST 21 vs F-22 Swing Wing (hypethetical) vs F-16 vs F-23 vs Mig SU-37 all at Top Gun. Assuming pilots are nearly the same skill wise... Which fighter would come out on top? Think Macross Plus
  5. Ack... look what happened to www.dyrl.com Nice album though...
  6. I want to see everything Graham said but in 1/48 scale for M:Zero at 2/3 of the cost. I do want a 1/48 Elint, Super O and VF-1D, but the feasibility of TV/DRYL CF, TV Max 1A and DRYL/TV Kakikazi is much higher due to simple pigment changes and repaints. But I do not echo ditching the 1/100 cheap lineup. There needs to be at least 2 price points to get as much of the market as possible. If I can get within earshot of Yamato, I would tell them to cleanup the 1/100 or replace it with 1/72 or 1/60 size as their new enthusiats line up, get it out ASAP while M:Zero is hot and get working on that 1/48 Perfect Variable Series at the expense of a mid range product, but cut the price down and up your production to make up for it. And get it out by this XMAS! And before I forget, 1/48 for M:VFX Licenses too! 1/48 is not too big. I'll ditch my couch and half my furniture for big toys.
  7. Rabidweezil, Looks a lot like Apollo Leader from Macross PS2 game, cept this is a 1J. Looks great!
  8. DAMN that is cute! Much better than I-Men or Kubrick$! Legos rock! Care to share your design sheets? And which Lego sets did you used?
  9. Korea was spelled Corea pre-WWII, or perhaps pre-WWI, before Japanese occupation. Japan changed that country's name so Japan would precede it in the history books. I could go on about other Asian countries but I'm getting off topic. /Back to the topic...
  10. Are these 1/35 scale? I need a complete set of 4, including the Cyclone.
  11. Keith, Thank you. You said the audio was much better. Was this noticable on your DVD ROM? Now if I can find some decent fansubbed English scripts, I think I just saved 20 USD.
  12. Get Tamiya or Mr Color (Gunze) matte finish or semi gloss. Test it on a gloss surface. Then re-spray a light coat on your custom. It will cut the shine down. If you want toy like finish, I suggest semi gloss. If you want a model finish, use the matte finish. Good luck and take pictures.
  13. Then it must the airframe limiting them from improving on it anymore. If you use the car analogy here, you can only bolt on so much to a sport compact car vs a GT car. Even with aftermarket body kits (extentions) and all, you will be limited by the frame unless you cut / add to the frame for a hybrid. By that time, you've already comprimised the integrity of the structure unless the frame is a new build. Since I'm ranting about cars, the commonality platform for a dedicated military tool really boggles the mind. I can see this application for consumer or business based products or when you prove something such as JGTC (touring car) which does it and does it well; but if you want the VERY best and not half ass it, dedicated development and platform is needed. Formula one (even Nascar up to a point) purpose build for racing, and don't ride off the consumer platforms. I rather give my soldiers the best tools to do the job than give them a budgetized tool from the bean counters which may end up costing a lot later on in terms of loss and resources to compensate for lack of effectivness.

Congrats Graham. Year of the Monkey(chinese horoscope sign) is a good year for a boy! Will bring you lots of prosperity and happiness...mine is due in December To177, So thats why you got the GBP Kit. Make sure you put the diaper on first, then the groin pieces. I hear it stays on better CONGRATS MAN! /Back to your regular topic...
  15. OK review but the link you supplied goes to a store with no relavent information to this thread.. If you want to pimp a site, go for it, but at least provide accurate links to your review.
  16. None in particulate but a shots of Eve and the Motoslaves would work.
  17. That is WAY cool! Thanks Nanashi! PS: What does the text say? Can someone translate? My Japanese is way rusty...
  18. LePoseur, Nice cover. But I would prefer something closer to the artboxes. Less text, more art and perhaps in nearly the same themes. Perhaps a Mikimoto color set and a mech set.
  19. Buy a 1/48 if you can afford one. Best comprimise in terms of sculpt, transformation, price and quality. If you want a detailed display piece, get the model kit. If you want a transforming toy, get the 1/60.
  20. Max would own them both in his VF-1A from the Macross SDF series, let alone his Q-Rau or Strike VF-1S. Nuff said.
  21. Keith et all, Can you guys post a screencap so I can see how good it looks? I have the HK bootleg with all 3 movies but would to see if this is a worthy upgrade in the future. Thanks

Me too! Been waiting forever! And how about that Meteor Buster Graham?
  23. What about editing the artwork used for Paul's case and resetting them to DVD case sizes? Then everyone can print their own out or I can bang out a bunch from a Pro print shop for cheap. I would love to see some of the CG from resident users here infused into classic Mikimoto water colors and touched up ala M:Zero... would make a nice addition to the cases. Maybe we can move this to the fan arts section and have another MW group effort take effect.

    My First 1/48

Phadeout, I hope you will enjoy, love, cherish and honor Roy and his Strike VF-1S like I know you two would, for better or worst, in sickness and in health, until death do you part. Amen PS: and not even 4 hours after I PM'ed you your tracking number.
  25. Toonz, NICE DISPLAY cabinets man! Thats a lot of money in there! Where did you get those? I don't see them in the IKEAs in the US or HK. Exo and Haterists: Now I know why you guys need those Valkyrie heads. To save yourselves from those bastardizations! PS: Sold out of VF-1S'
