For a toy, I think the YF-21 FP sculpt is way better than the old YF-19, even though I love the YF-19 to death! For Macross Plus Fans, its a no brainer since you only have Hasegawa model kits to choose from or Yamato's version, which is not bad for a toy. Just be careful of those limbs and get that clear nail polish to tighten them up.

The last one I saw in hand was very small, definately not 1/72. It was a ver 1 though. Nice kit but I can't see myself dropping that kind of cash for such a tiny product. 1/72 (and 1/48) Forever!

I need to check out my local BL DVD shop. Any way you can rip out the sub file and make it available? I just picked up my R2 MZero Episode 4 and would like to watch that with some subs.

My nitpicks: 1) Cannons looks TOO short - make replacable ones of scaled lenght please 2) Lack of details ... no panel lines, scribing or markings 3) No decals but its still early for final versions 4) Sure its big but damn, I need that 1/60 or bigger version so I can have relevant scaling to show off how awesome it is! Still on the small side. I'm a scale guy. Goods: 1) Looking good sculpt wise 2) no diecast metal but it should be just as good as Millia's Q-Rau quality wise. 3) I HOPE its way down in price. It needs to be cheaper and not another Millia retail price fiasco. It won't be released until the fall from what I've heard so they still have at least 2-3 months to tweak it but that model looks like a pre-production version, which mean molds may have been produced, and it might get the go ahead for manufacturing soon after they clean up the molds. I hope I am wrong cuz the lack of details is gonna hurt it in my eyes. If they release it as is, it better be the cheap 1/100 version, and Yamato should go back and work that PERFECT VARIABLE 1/60 or 1/48 SUPER DETAIL VERSION as a followup. Same for the VF-0S.

Have you tried using clear top coats? When I painted my 1/48 parts with acrylics, I had to use a topcoat to seal in the paint. If not, it would wear itself off even with fingers rubbing it over time. Using enamels didn't require much if any topcoat so long as there was enough paint, but the smell and clean up is a pain. I need to get my paint hood setup before I start using enamels again.

Mike, You never cease to amaze us, but your camera quality does not do your work justice. Keep it up...

Haterist, Thats a PHAT collection going on there! Way to go bro! Those stands kick ass. I might need a few now... PS: Read my sig. -
Depends on the background colors and if you want the anime line art look or realistic look. Use dark grey / pure black for a clean anime look Use variable like grey shades for a realistic look. Depends on your taste. For fast packs, I would use straight black as it is already so dark.

Ever, Your students are doing a fantastic job! Are you reference Design Works for this? Looks incredible.

Did Hikaru steal that gun from a Zaku II? Nifty pose though... Quality looks just like my VF-19 Kai/Blazer Bootleg.

Sweet! Goes into my wallpaper rotation! TY

For SALE Section needs some Rules!
Neova replied to Kamineko's topic in MW Site News & Member Feedback
You guys need to read through that second thread. When probed by prospective buyers for information, the seller was deferring the questions back to them. This does not build a confident buyer-seller relationship. Only when folks started to push for information, did he relent and confirm his statements. You're all right in that rules and etiquette needs to be established but lets just have this blow over first. If you guys also didn't notice, we just got quite a few new sellers with low post counts selling stuff in the wake of mechafreak's scam. Don't blame them for being cautious. The first thread is in the wrong forum but there is no buyer / seller discussion forum, since it belongs neither in the blacklist or straightshooters thread (yet). I had already commented about that trolling when eyesonme78's first thread was hijacked by those guys but they may only have meant well for our sakes. -
From that distance, look'n good!

really how do you explain the $120 price tag on the q-rau? we're not in their market? have you even looked at mcpaz's thread? we account for a huge chunk of yamatos products/business. its been discuss before in teh past and we all have come to the conclusion we are exactly they're target audience. to say we don't count is completely ridiculous. believe me, some yamato dudes already copied down the figures from mcpaz thread.... and sithlords got a care package coming to him. No one's saying we don't count, Haterist... but I still don't think these figures (that could very well be innacurate - no offense to McPaz, but he is going by everyone's word, not actual sales data. For further evidence on what everyone's word is worth VS. actual sales data, consult the Custom DVD box thread...) are what Yamato is using to determine costs. It would be bad business to base your MSRP off of internet babble. They look at what sells and what doesn't. If it goes out of their factories at a certain price, that's as far as they're tracking it, in terms of sales data. What you're proposing is more than a bit silly for an actual business, as opposed to an internet seller. Is this how you imagine a sales meeting at Yamato goes? Yamato Executive #1 - The Q-Rau will be priced at $100 dollars American! It is decreed! Yamato Executive #2 - Wait one moment, it says here on the internet that the Americans will pay $120! Yamato Executive #1 - Are you sure?!? That is madness!! Yamato Executive #2 - I have it printed right here. YF-19 BADAZZzzzz 42513 says it right here in this post. Another user, MINMAYonCRACK agrees with him. Yamato Executive #1 - Well, then we will have to rearrange everything! If we cannot determine our prices by the cost of running a business - then we absolutely must rely on a website based on a continent we cannot legally distribute to and that has an awesome thread like Hot Anime Cosplay Chicks! Thank the heavens for such reliable data! Let's rip those silly gaijin off for all that we can! Yamato Executive #1 & 2 - mwa ha ha. MWA HA Ha! MWA HA HA HA HA!!!! That's just retarded. If you did that in a real business, you'd go broke fast. So, no I don't agree with you. I'd say the majority of logical folks around here don't either. We have not all come to the same conclusion. If you don't want to talk what you'd be willing to pay, fine... but please refrain from yelling at everyone around here what they can and cannot talk about, unless it relates somehow to the guidelines of the forum established by Shawn, Graham, and the mods. This thread is cracking me up.... All you gaijins line up for those $200 1/100 VF-0S'. The rest of you will get them for $20 bux after I talk to Panther Bro and confirm when his hoodrats can truck all of it to my opium / love den in Mong Kok. I hope he doesn't try to squeeze me another 300% for his protection though... Those beatings are starting to hurt...

It looks good from 3 feet away but the closeups are blurry. Stand back, set your camera to the highest setting, take the shop and cut the surrounding background out for a managable size. Also, is it me or do the panel lines look purplish blue black? Like the color was thinned out?

So are those stickers actual stickers or are those anasazi's remakes? And are those stickers or water based decals? Looks good. I need to start opening up my toys and applying dem stickers! Hey Bobe, Those pictures are from Kurt's custom using Devin's decals. Armor did a good job with the stickers though. I knew he had flipped the stick around on the right side. In some ways, it is correct if you see how ricer cars mirror the decals. I was just pointing out how it should be the other way around since he spent so much time on it. Weathering looks great. I would love to also see Gerwalk and Battroid modes...

Congrats Graham! Mod please move my other thread in the toys forum!

Edit: Graham and his late official annoucement here. I posted here since most folks would visit this forum first. Mods feel free to merge, move and close. I got the following text message from Graham yesterday regarding a new Macross product: Baby born at 5.51 PM Fri 11 June. Weights 3.46 KG. Very Cute. Graham. CONGRATS GRAHAM and AMY! Welcome Jeffrey John Parkes to the world! May your dreams be filled with love, joy, happiness and Valkyries!

Trying to find / make storage for my models and toys in my new pad and will restart my Legioss kit. OT but Thor, if you get a 1/60 Q-Rau, you can scale that up to 1/48? cuz I would be in heaven if you can do that! Or other M+/M2/M0 kits!

Dayammm! LEGOS rock! If I win tonights Mark 6, I'm gonna buy tons of legos and try to build some stuff. Both guys have some mad skillz...

Ah Crap... more Doll Instant Ramen for next month... I love the planes from Yukikaze. I wish Platz would work on some enemy fighters which we don't see much of. Or even that flying dreadnought from episode 3 in 1/72 scale!

It should be 001, and not 100. Just like the wing and like these:

Fantastic job as always Nanashi.

Nice weathering, shame about the work room. BTW: you got the number wrong on the fuselage.

Nice display setup. Funny to see the FP in white / grey vs DYRL blue in that shot.
