    My mistake, I knew it was a double bill, but for some reason I thought it was a summer movie... I guess the show had literally just finished the previous week? Apparently the last episode aired September 24th 1995.

    Tiny note: This isn't really a sequel to the TV show, because it takes place during the series chronologically, and also I think M7 was probably still airing when it was released. Tiny note 2: This is the only Macross 7 thing that Ichiro Itano had any involvement in.

    Yeah, we wrote the definitive translation of Angel's Paints... wherever that is now. If i remember, he was banned for being too mouthy regarding HG and Row-boat-tech. Such a waste, because he was really enthusiastic about Macross and active in the fandom, but I guess he just went too far.

    It's actually funny that last week I had the exact opposite experience. I put in a random SDF Macross DVD for the first time in years and I got really bored (and the animation also made it really unwatchable), so I put in a random Macross 7 DVD (again, for the first time in years), and I was genuinely entertained for 25 minutes.

    Yeah, I'm not a scale-completist and so I'm very picky about my stuff. I have Hi-metal 1/100 versions of the 1S and 1J and I feel like they're enough. Even though I know that the v2 is a totally different toy, I still feel like I'm buying the same thing if I end up with ANOTHER Hikaru or Roy. And I have a 1/48 1J too, so that takes the 1/60 even further out of the realm of consideration. THIS, on the other hand....

    I dunno, count me in with the folks unimpressed with the head. There is something about it that seems really off, I don't know what. I think the visor may be too narrow, for one thing. Also the stripes are clearly not blue, but that may be due to lighting. Like I said, it's just old. Yeah, I think that might be cool. A lot of the details on this toy are lost on the dull colour/finish (through no fault of its own, of course).

    I'm the opposite -- This might be the one I DO get! I only own two v.2's: the VE-1 and the VF-1D. I'm really liking this scheme.

    I was fixing my 11C last night. The white shoulder hinge has recently developed a crack... maybe the screw is too tight? Anyway I glued the crack and I'm hoping that's it for now. Still probably my favourite valk.

    It just says that GA collaborated on it. No mention of exclusivity (yet). Although I personally don't realistically believe they will make very many.
