  1. I say we start debating whether or not the armour parts are exclusives, in spite of it actually saying they are, in the article. You know, because that's the MW way.
  2. Argh. Don't know if I want Sideswipe or if I should wait for Red Alert.
  3. Oh, no.. Don't even... For the love of... !! I swear I'm gonna have a fit. (cries)
  4. Sounds fun! Thanks for the write-up, and glad everyone enjoyed themselves.
  5. LOL. I didn't even notice the small photo of the hands in the last scans. Like I said, I got over the hands (non-)issue a month ago and only looked at the new scans to check the colour of the Valkyrie, I didn't even bother enlarging the pictures. However, I did pre-empt this!! Remember in one of my last posts I did say that those bastards would probably improve the mold so that hands would be incorporated after all just so I could look stupid when all is said and done -- and they did! Hats off to them!! Aarrghhh... Everything to do with this frickin valk, from development to preorder means we have to be online 24/7.... Sorry! Like I said, I didn't even notice them because I had made my peace with the removable hands as described in previous scans.
  6. Nope! (For the record I edited this post because I got confused which scan people were talking about!)
  7. I got the Charming Drossel about a month or so ago. It's really nice, but it is my first Figma toy and to be honest I expected a bit better quality. But it is not bad by any means, and I am looking forward to picking up the unibike thing when it comes out later this year.
  8. Well, there are a lot of videotape edits within the opening and ending, so even if they did go back to the physical film and clean it up or whatever, those would only be the elements and there are still things that would need to be added. I think that's the main problem.
  9. This is great, I'm thinking of picking up the guitar again when I get some time, so I will definitely hold on to those FireBomber tabs. Incidentally, the lyrics were transcribed by a really old friend (I'm sure he has/had an account here).... Which means those things are pretty much as old as the internet!
  10. As I said, I can't believe you guys are still on the hands. Has anyone noticed the colour changes in the new photos compared to the older prototype? The red is less of a deep shade and has a more orange tint. Discuss!
  11. I can't believe we're still arguing about the hands ONE MONTH ON. Face it, they're parts-forming and move on, please. http://www.macrosswo...ndpost&p=975373 Argh EDIT -- Now of course it will be funny if they changed that prototype so that the hands CAN go in and I end up sounding like an idiot. Ha, ha. For the record, the Figure Oh scan I have linked to does plainly state that the "manipulators" are the "plug-in type". Not that they are integrated, nor that you can swap alternate hands if you so wish (although of course you actually can), the implication is clear that you have to plug them in to complete the transformation.
  12. Apart from the commentaries, I don't see that there's anything new to justify any more "completeness" over the old remastered DVDs. It all comes down to what those pack-in bonus books and things are. From what I've seen of the DVD box sets, those things are great and the extra stuff is really cool, so if they don't include everything those ones did, I might have to see if prices start going down for the DVD sets instead. Unless everyone has the same idea, that is.
  13. Most of the content has been reprinted in various formats, though. Even the essays were mostly included in the HD Remaster DVD from 2007. I understand it's not the same as owning the book, though.
  14. I think that's mostly a minority opinion, though. For better or worse, the bulk of Macross fandom is the high-school/college crowd now, and they want BL/loli/idol/romance stuff, with the mecha taking a backseat to the fashion, even. They're still keeping the legacy of the old shows alive with all the events that we talked about of course, but at the same time, looking into the future, I don't see that many people caring if Kawamori goes or stays, except for maybe us, the vocal minority. The problem with Macross 2 was that it wasn't very good, not that Kawamori was not involved. If someone with a totally different concept or vision had taken the helm, maybe there would have been more fans of it. Conversely, lots of people hated Orguss 02, but many do prefer it over the original. Both of those opinions stem from the fact that Fumihiko Takayama took the series in a completely different direction. In the case of Macross, that is exactly what Kawamori has been doing each and every time, so having someone else on board would again simply shift things around...
  15. Well, be careful, because...
  16. Erm.... You really need to listen to it again. Edit: Or you could just read this: http://www.macrossworld.com/mwf/index.php?showtopic=855
  17. You know.... Some Sharon Apple is not exactly PG....
  18. Misa, yes, of course, but why are THEY there??? Aaarrggh Well, that's that, then. Itte-rasshai, Tochiro!
  19. Yes, and Jason is right, they are moving. This movie is beautiful, and its eye for detail magnificent.
  20. Save: "I'm not getting the Sound Booster!" In the end, he got the Sound Booster but not the valk to put it on.
  21. Fixed your download link, plus I added links to the other episodes. By the way, listening to the first couple of minutes of episode 2 again, regarding "GUVAVA" -- it seems that Central Anime got that romanization from the official Macross 7 Laserdisc inserts. So there you go.
  22. Well, the funny thing is that the word "teikouryoku" can mean "resistance", I just chose to use "backlash" as in my mind it fit better with the context.
  23. Renato

    SCOOP thread!

    She did everything.
  24. Count me in among those loving this show so far. And I don't even know what's going on in the broader sense of things because I don't remember what happened in the movies; I might have to rent them again. Just for everyone's information, the animation is being handled by Polygon Pictures, the Japanese studio which is doing an awesome job with Transformers Prime and also does some Clone Wars episodes.
