  1. Yes, I think so. Be careful. That's what happened to mine, too.
  2. The other thing I'm wondering now is -- OptimusX, did you base that translation on an internet translation? Because Google in particular I know is fixing their translation software to accommodate for context, so that if you input マクロス you will actually get "Macross" now, not Makurosu or something weird... So because of the context, マクロス艦 may already have been pre-disposed to be translated as "Fortress Macross"... Obviously this is just a guess, though. I'm assuming they didn't have access to all that. As for what they suckered people into borrowing, there was apparently a total of 8 pieces, which are shown here: http://www.macross30.com/1stmovie/journal/
  3. You are right, technically it doesn't say "Fortress"; in the first paragraph, 超大型宇宙移民船 is literally "Super Large Scale Space Emigration Ship". In the second, 艦 is more like a "warship". Takatoys -- In the title, "Super Dimension Fortress" is the translation of 超時空要塞. As you can see, they are completely different words to what is being described in the opening text, and as such, a more faithful translation is called for.
  4. Er.. You don't *have* to do anything you don't want to...
  5. Well, it's just the ankles, really. If they could go further back, then yes, you would have a terrific-looking Gerwalk.
  6. I thought I already did, but OK, I'll put some up soon. It's probably faster than searching for any which I may or may not have already taken.
  7. Yamato's 1/60 YF-19 gerwalk from 2006 is much better than these new ones... Seriously, something has to be done about those ankles!!
  8. No Macross the First again? Argh. I still might buy it just for the interview, but...
  9. My Factory Colour Garland is fine, but I haven't touched it in over a year, so who knows if it will just crumble now. My ProtoGarland, on the other hand, is in pieces. All those bronze/gold-colour plastic joints completely crumbled, and the earthquake finished it off.
  10. I took it out of storage the other day, because I have limited space so I rotate stuff every so often. I hadn't transformed a 1/48 in a really, really long time and they feel great in the hand. I'm gonna get the Hikaru 1S out next, but it's under a mountain of other boxes of crap. Anyway MacFB7 yay whatever
  11. Bought my ticket a few days ago but I neglected to share, this, sorry. Better late than never, eh?
  12. I'm watching the one with the Transformer guy... "He's like an alcoholic, running a bar, drinking all his profits". Wow, that is such a brilliant analogy! I apologize if he is friends with anyone here, but I should show this to my wife so I can say "See? I'm not that bad!"
  13. There is no other Macross content on PSN that I know of, other than the promotional MP4 video (free download) for the DYRL Bluray. And DYRL is downloadable only if you have the code, you cannot actually get it any other way from PSN. And this thread is about the 3D My Boyfriend is a Pilot 2012 game...
  14. Whoever drew that probably thought, "bah, no-one's gonna be looking at the feet!" Oh my god, was it Rob Liefield??
  15. Great thread. Jvmacross and Totoro 242's collections are priceless, and should be archived and/or displayed in an exhibition somewhere.
  16. Where is that "Strike a pose!" thread when you need it... Er, I mean, that's great!
  17. Thanks Reivaj and EXO, I managed to do it! I just used my head. And the valk's. Er...
  18. I never knew you were into The Who.... Huh.
  19. Thanks... It doesn't sound very different to what I've been doing until now, but I'll keep trying.

I remember that toy being bootlegged by everybody. I seem to recall somebody made pencil sharpener versions, too! It was small, but transformable, and very nostalgic for me. Looks like you added missiles and some proper tailfins, too. What toy did you get those from?
  21. There sure is, here is the most recently active one AFAIK: http://www.macrossworld.com/mwf/index.php?showtopic=15775&hl=%2Bgold+%2Bbook&fromsearch=1 But if you search the forums for the words "Gold Book", then you can access many more similar threads from the past.
  22. Thanks for the info. I suspect Culture Japan is able to be broadcast internationally because Danny Choo specifically wanted it that way -- that is, after all, his main aim. I am not sure if BigWest is willing to go to the trouble of doing that, but we shall see.
  23. This must have been asked a million times, but in preparation for the arrival of the 19P in a few months, how exactly does one go about tightening those ankles? It doesn't look easy to take apart, but I have seen that some members have done just that.
