Yamato makes more than Macross toys. Although if arbit is asking about distributing Macross toys specifically, then yes, basically he's wasting his time, and is better off reading this before contacting anybody: http://www.macrosswo...showtopic=36541

Yeah, I think there is. Probably something like "OK, we'll waive the Cease & Desist orders for you guys, since you're giving us free publicity." I wouldn't be surprised if HG demanded/was allowed access to all materials for their own use at a later date, too.

Great! Thanks. I'll see what I can do later. No, and I don't remember ever hearing Yamato reissuing a non-canon scheme. That's not to say it will never happen, but there's no real precedent. Beautiful! Kit.

Macross Plus in BD!!! OVA w/ English Dub & Movie w/En
Renato replied to treatment's topic in Movies and TV Series
I just watched the whole thing over the new year and I'm still recovering from the awesome overload. M7 has regained its place as my favourite series once again. But this thread is about Macross Plus... Although we still have half a year or so. Oops sorry, I was responding to Kicker but Tochiro managed to sneak in between. With an answer I had already provided, no less ;P- 516 replies

I can't help but feel that none of this would be an issue at all if Bandai had just made *these* Valkyries FIVE YEARS AGO instead of the pieces of absolute garbage that they tossed out at first (referring to the v.1's of course). At least part of the reason that they are producing such small numbers is that Frontier is pretty much over and fewer fans are willing to double-dip for an "improved" valk. But what do I know.

As far as I know you cannot import games from AmazonJP, but BDs etc are OK. You'd best double-check that, though.- 516 replies

Thanks for that. But yeah, like Chronocidal, I'm weary of trying that. I have actually transformed it several times in the two weeks or so that I have had it, but I shall have to shave the clips next time I transform it back to Battroid. It will (not) be funny if the shoulders choose this precise time to separate. Is there any recommended way to shave down the clips, just in case?

But those were made to order, were they not?

?? It sounds like it would put a heck of a lot of stress on the shoulder joint itself, because you're basically pulling at it while the clips on the lower legs are still attached to the shoulder pauldrons. Could you shoot a short video showing exactly how you do that? In Gerwalk, you mean, right? The ankles getting loose because they're being pushed back further than they want to go is a side-effect of the main issue, which is that if it's nose-diving forward, it means that the ankles are not going back far enough to begin with. In other words, the ankles need to go back far enough to offset the centre of gravity so that it does not fall forwards -- it's not a proper Gerwalk pose otherwise. By the time you manage to achieve that, the ankles have become too loose, which in turn affects Battroid, because now the figure won't stand, and you can forget about top heavy stuff like Sound Boosters. When I have a bit more time I will take comparison photos with the YF-19 to illustrate more clearly.

You guys are starting to make me nervous now because the last couple of times the shoulders have been even tougher to release than before, for some strange reason... Argh

Maybe he just thinks that regardless of being imported or not, older models don't play newer games, like how only some Gameboy Color games worked on the original GB but not all. Anyway, I repeat -- YES IT WILL WORK ON ALL PS3s. Unless they region code it, which is rare, but if you are in the US it is the same region as Japan, so still no issue.

I thought you only cared about people quoting images? 500 words is not that much. Unless the reason that he took almost TEN YEARS to respond to your post was that 500 words is so overly long... in which case I'd say you are allowed to take your time too, and take yet another decade to respond. I'm sure he would not mind.

Yes, it will play. However, it is true that Sony takes away features as they update. You can't use Linux in the newer ones. And you can't play PS2 games anymore, either.

Ooookay..... I suddenly feel like a psychiatrist in session.

Without images, I'm not sure what you mean. The issue with the ankles is that they will not pivot far back enough. What else can you do, though? I don't see many options in terms of trying to separate the shoulders from the legs, especially since it's the very first step in the instructions. I don't have that problem (yet), but I think I understand what is happening, and I hope the glue on mine does not weaken to the point that the two halves separate when I pull the pauldrons up to separate them from the legs.

It is not really worth 80 x 690 = 55,200 yen for me... I will get the ones I like the look of, though -- especially the one with the VF-19P illustration -- and I have the first issue with binder on order. As for the episode guide thing, yeah, if you remember they started off doing that with the original run for a while but they soon dropped them in favour of just production/broadcast data sheets, one for each series.

My copy of OST volume 1 is the UK Demon release. Apart from the licensing text, it is identical in terms of content and packaging to the Japanese release, aside from the obvious lack of an "obi" spine sleeve. They did Volume II as well, but not the other two MacPlus albums. At the time I considered it an excellent, cheaper alternative to importing. I believe JVC distributed them officially in the US, too. It was so cool to see Macross items officially in record stores back in my London days. That's all over now, thanks to a certain entity... Tons? Really? I think the stuff that they did release but does not appear in the show is far greater...

Sounds intriguing.... How would that work?
