  1. Nah. It doesn't even have a save game option. "Last Frontier" follows the plot of both movies anyway.
  2. I haven't seen any more than two copies of each issue on the shelves recently. I'm not buying it regularly, I just wanted that pic of the 19P. I actually found one issue today in Kichijoji and bought it, last one there. Ah, I miss my Kyoto days -- I lived right above a 24hour bookshop and I always got the Chronicle on the day of release.
  3. What the hell? I can't find issue 09 anywhere! And they're over 1300 yen at amazon now! They're definitely printing these in a smaller run compared to the originals.
  4. Yeah, it's hearsay, but only in terms of it not having been officially stated. Save has met and talked to them directly. I don't know the specifics such as if ALL of the Yamato employees simply got transferred to Arcadia, but I know the main dudes are there, especially the guys in charge of all the Macross stuff. And remember, those guys are Macross FANS. They brought out all these toys because they love the franchise as much as we do. I'm not saying they'll continue the 1/60 line, but I'm sure they'll try to do *something* at some point. Yeah, in my mind there's no way there's that many Super O's.
  5. Not necessarily. I'm quite sure they made many more of those than they did 1/60 v2 Super Ostriches, for example.
  6. Maybe you (or someone) should change the topic title. How many people can possibly remember that "Blue Uru" was the name of the shelved Honneamise sequel project?
  7. I found this so I dug up the most recent Lego-themed thread I could find. It's an incredible, awesome thing of beauty:
  8. Wow! Compare that with the current situation with Bandai VF toys...
  9. Yeah, I totally understand. And the thing is that there is a remote play option that relays the data from the PS3 to the PSP when you can't be in front of the TV, but what's the point if it doesn't actually work on most games?
  10. Really? May I ask why?
  11. Glad you're enjoying it! I think overall image quality is better than the DVD, thanks to it being a better transfer, but yeah, it still is really grainy in places. There are pluses and minuses for all the releases of DYRL, I think, so I certainly won't be throwing any of them out.
  12. I've actually gone back to play this for a little bit after playing Mac30, as a bit of a break (I can't make any progress on M30 because I just don't have long stretches of time to do so, but these Hybrid Pack games are great for little short missions, with none longer than 10 mins or so). The Isamu YF-29 is apparently in this game, too!
  13. What do you mean? It's the same as the PSP games, L+square (If I remember correctly -- it's become subconscious by now!).
  14. They were, they were farmed out to Korean studio Star Pro. But it was either that, or no show at all, so pick your poison.
  15. Well, you CAN remove the intake covers. You're not supposed to, but people have done it. Apparently it's not that big a deal.
  16. Of course it is. NOTHING compares. Seriously, NOTHING. It's not called Excalibur for nothing.
  17. This was brought to my attention today.... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zejLidfqFNM
  18. Richard's been pretty busy what with all these articles...
  19. Oh wow, you have them all! That's great. I'm only missing the 19F. Maybe I will get it one of these days... who knows. These things are so expensive, but absolutely gorgeous. I think it's pretty much my favourite toy ever. "Toy".... Hmm. Aside from the ankle thing (an Achilles heel, literally), they are perfection, and when you think of all the gimmicks like the opening battroid hatch, and the actual magic trick of making that anime design look accurate in all modes, Yamato went above and beyond what was expected of them. It's no toy, it's a work of art!
  20. Dude... it is NOTHING like Rodimus Prime. I have them both and like them both, but if you were to compare, I would say the Fire Valkyrie makes Rodimus Prime look like a Playskool / Fisher Price toy. They may be priced similarly but they are nowhere near in the same league. The fit and finish alone is worlds apart.
  21. Ugh. Hated that movie... I remember really liking this movie when it came out, though: "August in the Water" 水の中の八月 It's one of those movies which has sci-fi elements, but focuses on daily life rather than the science/supernatural spectacle. Haven't seen it since it came out, though. Here's another high-concept arthouse-y film, this time from Kore'eda, "After Life" (ワンダーフルライフ) My tastes may have changed since the 90s. I'm not sure if I would enjoy these movies now and just look at them as pretentious artsy stuff, but in the 90s I thought they were cool and original.
