  1. It seems that many of the series currently running in NA will be transferring over to a new publication called Niconico Ace. However, like Jefferson said, Macross the First's fate has not been decided, so we are told to check the official Macross homepage or the Kadokawa Macross page. By the way, here is the preview for issue 23, which should have been out today. http://www.kadokawa.co.jp/na/image/yokoku/22/yokoku.pdf
  2. I doubt Ebata had anything to do with Ogotai, it was probably more the work of Yuichi Takahashi.
  3. Yet Katsuragi Kei is more than able to highly deftly handle butts!
  4. I know this is a wish thread, but that will never happen. I also want a MAXL, but I missed the VF-17 so I would like a reissue of that... Although I can't see myself affording these things anymore.
  5. Maybe you set up us the space-time oscillation bomb with your Orguss viewing?
  6. Treatment beat me to posting the best ones, but I did watch the subtitled version today and I took a bunch of photos of the weirder lines in the dialogue... Erm, no... try again, dear. Yes. At least, that's what you wrote on your CV. If only it did. "Or... it IS! I don't know! I'm so confused!!" OK, now I'm pissed off. Seriously, who translated this sh*t?? Dumbass. At least you don't have to read them. Yes. Drive yourself home, woman. Someone get the colonel a dictionary, stat. And there's loads more gems like this...
  7. Well, it probably wasn't in there. They added a lot of extra effects, some of which were unnecessary, in my opinion. Most notably the eerie sound of the Black Box whenever it's about to do something evil. It just makes it feel a little cheesier, for me.
  8. No, it's located in Takarazuka, which is nowhere near the tsunami area. You are most likely thinking of the Ishinomori Shotarou one, which is in Ishinomaki, one of the worst-hit areas. It's the inner cover for the remastered DVD from 2007 or so.
  9. From the article: "The film also launched the careers of other would-be directors such as Hideaki Anno, Hiroyuki Kitakubo, Mahiro Maeda, and Ichiro Itano." Yes, because Ichiro Itano was completely unknown before Honneamise...... :/
  10. I don't know what that other "2" show you're talking about can possibly be, but Plus is online: https://www.youtube.com/verify_age?next_url=/watch%3Fv%3DkpCuUT_n9Xg The one on the BD may be crappy, but it certainly is not new; it has been around for at least 13 years.
  11. Yeah. It's still on Youtube officially uploaded by Manga Ent.
  12. Thanks to Blu-ray, I noticed for the first time that the newspaper that Guld is reading in the cafeteria is in Zentradi.
  13. Oh, god, I'm watching that episode 4 dub now. One line cracks me up. "GET. OFF. MY. ASS.. And stay outta my way!" Just the way he reads it, it's hilarious.
  14. Oh, you have the TECT kit... Nnnngghh!! So jealous..!
  15. Osaka has the Fire BomBAR, too, so you can make a day of it. The only thing that annoys me is that nothing cool like this ever happened when *I* was living in Osaka. They wait till I'm GONE, and then they break out the champagne and party.
  16. Yeah, I watched that one almost every day! It was quite funny sometimes. It's finished now, but they have "Mazinger ZIP!" instead now. That is not so funny. The movie..... I won't watch it at the cinema but I'll rent it to see if I can spot myself....
  17. I'm in japan and it's disabled here, too. I'm not sure exactly what you're implying though, according to the vid description the uploader ripped it from the Madman Australia site, so it might not even had had Macross Plus music on it in the first place. And if it did, maybe Madman themselves pulled it. This has nothing to do with the Blu-ray release at all.
  18. Arcadia is saying it. I hope they're correct, too!!
  19. The cover of the overly-delayed "Katare! Macross" book that I think we talked about ages and ages ago has finally been revealed, with Tenjin goodness. http://www.amazon.co.jp/%E8%AA%9E%E3%82%8C-%E3%83%9E%E3%82%AF%E3%83%AD%E3%82%B9-%E3%83%99%E3%82%B9%E3%83%88%E3%83%A0%E3%83%83%E3%82%AF%E3%82%B7%E3%83%AA%E3%83%BC%E3%82%BA%E3%83%BB08/dp/4584205086/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1371875093&sr=8-1&keywords=%E8%AA%9E%E3%82%8C%E3%80%80%E3%83%9E%E3%82%AF%E3%83%AD%E3%82%B9 Comes out on the 27th.
  20. Oh god, you're right... It's late... Argh, can you imagine if it turned out to be the Frontier SMS version? That would be a major kick in the.........
  21. What? Why on Earth would it??
  22. It all makes sense now. The hypnotized fandom, the soulless marketing, the PURE EVIL. This explains so much. OK, OK.. I kid, I kid. But seriously, that is a huge coincidence!
  23. Ah, I see what you mean now. Yep, you're right, that's definitely unique. Probably for stability for the wing assembly in Fighter mode? Because the wing roots attach behind that gun, and if the gun was part of the piece with the upper intake, it would be quite loose (remember that that block which gets pushed back in the VF-19 mold doesn't actually "lock" into anything in Fighter mode). Just a theory, though. It does look odd, now that I think about it, and it certainly is not *exactly* like the lineart. I don't really mind, though. Yet.
  24. It could be that the DVD-Rs they used weren't compatible with all types of player, I don't know. But they sure disappeared fast. Anyway, thanks for the clarification. OK, so I assume TMS can provide the dub if an overseas distributor were to ask for it, since that seems to have happened with the IA set. Well, that's nice to know.
