Yeah, I saw this. Its a shame the second one (jet-engine one) didnt work.
-
I cant see myself realistically buying a 1/60, because I have limited space in my flat. Id have to move just for that.
-
Yeah, I have this one too. Its a nice kit. The other one that looks good in chrome is the Macross Storm Attacker itself.

I just finished the whole DVD Macross collection..

It's "Dekarucha". It was discussed in some other thread. It was subtitled in some Macross game or something. I forgot. Dont think its actually Japanese tho. But its still fun to say! "DEKARUCHA!!!" In the newbie thread both words were mentioned, I just prefer "dekalcha" more and pronounce it that way. It's not Japanese, it's made up Zentran. Oh ya, it is a Zentradi word. My bad. But it's also a Japanese word too(unoffically), cause it's the Japanese that made up the Zantradi alien laguage, so... Hehe. We should have let you come to Japan and walk around going "Dekalcha!!". Id love to see peoples reactions. -

Interesting... The exact same problem on mine too. I thought I got a faulty one. What do you mean, "put something between the joint"? How? Also, the bonnet popped off... On the whole, though, pretty much everything that sucked about the Subarus has been fixed for this toy, which is cool. Except the elbow articulation. -
Yeah, that photo is from the back of an Animage special booklet. I have it, its no big deal, I think most of those are custom works.

OK, I just got Red Meister right now. A very slight word of warning, it must have been the lighting or something in those pictures a while back, because the red does not really look as deep on the real thing... It's not exactly "wine" red... -
If they packaged them all in robot mode then the boxes would be 1/3 to 1/2 the size. Not necessarily. Remember the original Macross Plus huge-ass boxes. In particular, the VF-11B. That was a box of empty space -- with a toy thrown in. In my case, I don't mind so much, though. I can use the area underneath the plastic tray to store all kinds of other stuff (e.g. Banpresto boxes), that way my cupboard isn't full of toy boxes. As for the graphical design on the box, I agree, the MPC designs are appalling. I would have liked Yamato to have had screenshots from the anime in their packaging though, like Hasegawa does on the side of their boxes. They have started to do this with the Millia figures that just came out. I doubt they'll do it for others, though. The worst box design was for the VF-19A in my opinion. Now that they have another VF-X2 product coming up, I'm afraid we may expect another crappy box design...

Chill out, man. The rest of the series will be released in some way or another eventually. It's just that in my case, I'm gonna have to start paying for it (bastards!). 2 DVDs are out so far -- one every month -- but they are a total rip-off 'cause you only get two episodes per disc at the usual extortionate Japanese rates. As for me, I had lost faith in anime well before this. As soon as I watched Champloo I noticed something that I might be able to get into again, then this happens. Oh well, that's life. It just means I can sleep more cos I don't have to get up at 2 or 3 in the morning anymore.

That looks awesome. The stand should have been designed to display Valks like that in the first place. Although it looks better upside down, or sideways, to make it look more like the movie.

I don't think so, but I don't for a second doubt that it will be the more popular one. Just like the Solberg version of the 2004WRC Smokescreen sold out far quicker than the Hirvonen. In the one month that it's been out it's already become hard to come across. -
It's official -- Samurai Champloo is off the airwaves. Episode 17 was the "final" one. Of course it would get bad ratings if it's on at ungodly hours of the early morning and a different time every week, not that they even showed it EVERY week... Stupid TV stations. They never made it to Nagasaki, so I suppose it will continue over on the digital or satellite networks. Nice ending, though. "To be (or not to be) continued...".

So... No-one knows how to get a hold of this show, huh. As for me, I love 80s shows and I FINALLY managed to find one Orguss tape, hideously damaged but my deck has a built-in cleaner and the image is crystal clear now. I don' understand what the hell is going on because it's only got episodes 10-15 on it, but anyway, it's not bad. OK, so... Dorvack. Yess.. It's probably rarer than Mospeada. Although, having said that, I heard "Srungle" is gonna be released on DVD soon, and if that isn't a forgotten show, I don't know what is (literally -- cause I would have forgotten)!

Those one coin figures look good, I may get one or two. Although, those type of things always look good in publicity pics, then when you get one in your hands... ugh. Also note that you need at leat three coins to buy the "one coin" figures. Hello, tax!! -

Mostly interviews with the staff and cast, sans Mikimoto. Possibly lots of Hideaki Anno going on about how he's so great. -
Here are a couple of mine (left-hand side). I think they are the most poseable Valkyrie toys around. You can certainly get them into all kinds of poses and yeah, they topple over sometimes, but so do 1/48s, which really ARE a problem when they break. The FAST packs are a nightmare, though.

The first is Doi Mika, as you guessed. The second is the "Wings Singers", a choir supplementing the "Healthy Wings" orchestra used in the series. (It's actually a word play on composer Kentaro Haneda's name, so basically it's his orchestra). I don't think it's the cast. And I know there was a song titled Namida no Santa Claus but I can't remember how it goes... I'll have to check. In any case, that one was the Wings Singers too. For more Macross Christmas fun, check out the "Ginga ni furu yuki" CD. ("Snowfall on the Galaxy"). Not so much the songs, rather the orchestral tracks are what I like most from that CD.

Personally, I don't agree that the Block 6 (DYRL type w/twin side stick controllers and holographic HUD) VF-1s are 2031 era at all. I'm sure the Block 6 was manufactured long before 2031, especially as the last VF-1 was manufactured in 2015 and the VF-4 was introduced as the next main Variable Fighter in 2020. Although it is not specified in any official source material, I'm sure the Block 6 machines were introduced probably shortly after Space War 1, that is if we accept the TV chronology as being accurate and that DYRL is is a movie released in the Macross universe in 2031. Anyway, for those of you who haven't seen it before here's a scan of page 61 of the TIAS Macross Plus book, which lists the DYRL Block 6 controls (although in Japanese). Graham Hihi~~newbie here~~ I wonder where can i get this detial infomation? anime.net/~macross

no i don't! I think he said the episode title or something, I can't remember which one it was, and then Spike said "Oh. He spoke."

Wheeljack was photoshop job. I've seen test shots of the Ravage one on Ebay. I didn't mention images, I mentioned pre-order listings. For example: http://www.collectablekingdom.com/product_...products_id/608 -
I felt ripped off. It didn't take me very long to complete it in both Guld and Isamu modes, it had zero to do with the story (Millia type Queadluun Raus??) and lastly, I have no-one to play the two player mode with anyway, cos I don't know many Macross fans or people who are willing to bother learning the controls for a two-minute bout. Meh.

I'm starting to think that the Ravage thing is no more than a custom because I've also seen places with pre-orders for a BT Wheeljack, which will ALSO be a Corvette repaint. -

No problems with my BT Smokescreen either. Was there ever an issue? The only issue I have with Meister is the gun. It looks too weird with the gun "hollowed out" on the left side. Hey Wolfx, Did you get the Binaltech Meister yet? Or are you talking about the Altenator release. . . I know they both use the same gun design I'm just trying to find out if it has hit The streets yet. . . I haven't got it yet. I'm commenting on the photos i posted. Should be out in the next few days. Some have already seeped through, I believe though, because there was a pre-launch event last week in Tokyo. Apparently. (See my post a few pages back) -

At least Tracks and Sideswipe (Lambor) don't have metallic finishes. I doubt Dead End does. -
What the hell is that??!! A Monster with a giant claw-arm?? They're taking the namesake literally... I don't know if I hate it or like it. Although where did you get the pics from, Graham?
