When someone said "Herbie: Fully Loaded" I thought it was a joke.

Pilot/Crew????? Show pictures. Anyway, the ONE QC thing I wanted them to fix were those tiny brittle Gerwalk/Shuttle connector pegs.

Yeah I got the Fukuyama Fire CD. Two of my favorite M7 songs, Dynamite Explosion and Totsugeki Love Heart are pretty dull without Mylene backup. Overall I thought this album was pretty dull. It kinda sounds like it was done like a bootleg and not in a professional studio. Personally, I prefer these raw rock versions over the often "pop-like" arrangements of the originals. However, most of these songs are over ten years old and Fukuyama's voice sounds better on the originals, in particular on Submarine Street. He did a good job on the new version of Heart and Soul, though, and his guitar playing is badass as ever on all tracks. I don't even remember Mylene having any backup vocals in the original Dynamite Explosion, and I always preferred Totsugeki without her, so I guess it's "diff'rent strokes..."

Now there's a knee-jerk reaction, if ever there was one!

Yes, well. Quite.

He's very talented.

Don't like any of the newer shows, sorry. Watched a couple of RiD (Optimus catches on fire... But can't he just transform into a fire engine and put it out?), and watched a couple of Superlink (Orange Shockwave is Galvatron's little brother? WTF?)... Don't even remember if I ever saw any Armada. Still haven't seen any Galaxy Force, but I have no desire to do so in a hurry. However, I would like to hear what the deal was with Unicron coming back and everything in Armada and Superlink. Can anyone be bothered to sum it all up in a couple of paragraphs?

Very short "heads-up" notice: "Fukuyama Fire" was released last week. People who haven't heard the old Hummingbird versions of the tracks, there are lots of them here. For those who have, this may be overpriced, since it's just the old songs rehashed anyway. GNCA-7026, Geneon Entertainment, Y3150. Also, I spotted a new CD called "Colezo! Macross Song Selection". It's essentially the same as the previous Macross Song Collections that we've been getting for years: i.e., the same Minmay songs, etc. But this time Heart & Soul is on it, and there is a song from Macross Zero tacked on, plus it's at a bargain price. VICL-41207, Victor Entertainment,Y2000. Nice to see Macross is not dead yet, music-wise.

Dude, your reactions were totally identical to mine. "Robotech Style Guide"?? WTF??!! And my eyes widened a whole 10cm in diameter when I read that thing about his MOTHER. I mean, what the hell??!! First of all, he claims that they DIDN'T KNOW how the story was gonna turn out?? Wha? And then he says, yeah, we need someone strong, emotional... I know, MOM!! I'm sorry, but they were SERIOUSLY understaffed!!

What with all the Mac 7 "pooping", I think a lot of people have forgotten about Row-boat-heck. I say we poop once more, for old time's sake.

While we're sharing rumours, I might as well mention that I heard that there will be a 1/48 in the Angel Birds scheme. Also, apparently, this rumour came from MW. Anyway, a few people on this thread have been talking about new Koenigs coming with fully functional missile hatches. Does this mean that the Koenig has ALREADY been reissued?
-
Are you talking about this? http://www.macrossworld.com/macross/books/dou_mat3extra.htm I've always wanted to take a look at the content!

Count me in, too. A few months ago I interviewed Bariaburu Faita and Samurai M as part of my sociology research on subcultures. Some verrry interesting specimens on this board!

I got tired of it around the second episode. And the repetitiveness is just part of the 70s Super Robot show style that everyone keeps telling me I should just accept, for some reason. If this was a Saturday morning cartoon, then fine, but it's on after midnight so what's the big deal with the dumbed-down, cliche-bound style already? I don't very much care for the characters, either. But, we'll see how this turns out, it's still early days yet.
-
No, they are stand-alone packs. There is only one FAST pack-equipped Bandai reissue, that is the white (not grey) V-1S. EDIT -- Sorry, this had already been mentioned. Ignore this post.

hey its my first one and truthfully I don't have a clue what the dif is between a yammato a bandai and a takatoku but that's what I mean... you've had these resources for a while now. http://www.macrossworld.com/macross/toys/1...comparisons.htm and leb's site is down, would have been a good link to point to. Leb's thread is still here on the boards, though: http://www.macrossworld.com/mwf/index.php?showtopic=226&st=0 It's a pretty complete, though not entirely up to date, thread. Hope this helps.

Oh, man. The thumb pose is just the icing on the cake.
-
If you superglue it back together it'll be OK.
-
You mean they just reissued it as is? No colour change or anything? Wow, that's laziness.

FINALLY someone explained this. That must have been like two or three years ago. AgentOne first popped up during one of my breaks from the board and when I came back everyone was like "doorknobs this" and "doorknobs that". Maybe we ought to catalogue all the MW in-jokes. Like, "Yoshinol" and "HBAR HBAR HBAR".

I have it as a compressed file in .ace format. I can't upload it here because it's 2MB, and I can't upload it to geocities for some reason. It keeps telling me it's an invalid filename or something. So I guess I can just email it to people.

damn dood, 50-70% off! you never see that on anime toys here. Damn right! I've never seen any anime store go that low, even when closing for business. Sigh. Whoa! Volks is always so expensive! Man. Wish I'd known sooner. Anyone know any available vf-1js in the Tokyo area (that are not over retail price)? I'm still hopping for a bundle pack but I would like to buy one just in case. I've been searching for one in the past few months but nothing. I was in Tokyo a few weeks ago, as it happens. But even if I hadn't been, I can tell you that the only place you need to go is Akihabara. You'll find everything there. Nakano is also a good stop, but not as much stuff there.

"Saigo" means "final". "Saishin" means "latest". The site said "saigo".

I'd bet no, though it's just a guess. Not supprting the 8bit GBs means they can scrap a processor(the z80-ish thing isn't available in GBA mode), as well as ditching the hardware needed to sense 8bit games and supply 5v to the cart slot instead of 3.3(if I recall the voltages right). Damn. For me, the joy of GB is the backward compatibility going all the way back to the beginning. Hundreds of games. Now, one of the articles I read was that the GBM will allow one to play the 700 game back catalogue. Are there already 700 GBA games? I didn't think there were that many. Although I had known for some time that there was an extra processor in the GBA to play old GB games, and I figured the small size of this thing means they've likely gutted that. But like the "Limited Edition 1/48 CF" thing, I remain clinging to hope...
