Well, he is doing a Gundam manga at the moment called "Ecole du ciel" or something. If that's your cup of tea (not mine, though). I reccommend Cherish and Reverb, they're both one-offs. GEK! He's drawing Gundam! Oh well gotta pay the bills somehow. One-offs of what type? GN's or single chapter story's? One-offs as in each is a one-volume only manga. GNs, if you like, but they are both collections of short stories, not necessarily related.

Yeah, Ben-Man and DestroidsRage were one in the same. That guy was all sorts of weird. For all his weirdness, BenMan sure was a dedicated Macfan, remember he scanned the entire Macross Hobby Handbook for us and put it up on a Yahoo Briefcase or something. Damn, I wish that was still around. I did get a bit pissed off with the "bar steward" when he decided he no longer wanted an item I had already purchased JUST FOR HIM... Well, what are ya gonna do? What was the "incident" with him, then?

Interesting news about the Star Convoy reissue. I believe that one was motorised, no? As for G1: Yeah, I was also shocked at how crappy I found the show to be after seeing a bit of my friend's original series DVDs shortly after they came out. I couldn't even sit still and watch it. The animation was good for its day, but everything else was pure cheese. The movie kicks ass to this day, though, and the live action one has its work cut out for it if it wants to topple the original. This is how great the original show was: http://homepage.mac.com/thansson/reviews/TFDVD1/tfdvd1.htm http://homepage.mac.com/thansson/reviews/TFDVD2/tfdvd2.htm And the 80s follow-ups were not much better: http://homepage.mac.com/thansson/headmasters/

I don't really know what star convoy is but its transformation looks almost exactly like the Power Master Optimus Prime ...and i forgot his Japanese name, but it wasn't Convoy. (hence he wasn't included in the History of Convoy section of the MP-01 Convoy) It was Gin Rai.

I think it's that his art is no longer suited to today's over-simplified anime visuals. The reason his designs got "trashed about" in M7 is because they had to hire another designer, Katsura Kenichi, to re-do them all for the animation. I'm pretty sure that's what's gonna happen this time, too. In fact, I haven't seen his designs in motion at all since, what, Macross II?? Or was Gundam War in the Pocket after that? Anyway, recently his stuff has only been seen on still-image media like dating games, illustrations and manga because it takes too much work to get them to move.

Join the club. Can you have a club founded upon mutual hatred?

Hmm. That's what I thought when Macross Zero was announced. Alas...

Man, this really has turned into a big, dirty mess. It's an OK game, but with the added bonus of choosing different fighters this could have been the best Macross game of all. As is, it's very easy to tire of. The more I hear about what could have been, the more I feel I've been ripped off, and left with "Not Very Variable" Fighters.

Never been inside, but I've been up to the entrance. You have to book tickets in advance, so I'll probably never get the chance to go. No loss, though. I've already been inside the replica Catbus that they have in Nagasaki (outside Glover Park) so that's enough for me.

Kinda reminds me of the Xiao Xiao flash movies. Anyone remember those? They were cool.

How about these two? I almost bought them this weekend. http://www.macrossworld.com/macross/books/series_tia1_2.htm

I read a pretty bad review of New Order's new album, but I haven't heard it. Might end up getting the Gorillaz one, though I was pretty disappointed with their first album, preferring only the singles. As for David Bowie, I had no idea he had a new CD out. Hmm, must have not come out over here (yet)? Next on my list is the T-Rex "Born to Boogie" DVD. (The Japanese release has a bonus 3rd Disc!)

I see... So it's all just an alternate universe thing..? Hmm. Well, let's have an opinion poll. What's been the best show up to now? Original? Headmasters? Victory? GF?

This page is from either Hobby Japan or Figure King and in it, there is no mention of the word Limited Edition or "GenTe" Kanji pronounciation Noel Defintely wasn't Hobby Japan....some magazine I was flipping through at Tsutaya. Sorry, don't remember the title...fight have been Figure something.... It's from Figure Oh (AKA Figure King), because I looked at the issue this weekend.

Holy Mother of Kawamori. This book will come out on the day that Disneyland Hades opens.

They broke up five years ago, man. It's all thanks to the a-holes at Victor. Actually, the best Hummingbird albums were the first two, anyway.

Yes. There can be only one.... ...million different bloody incarnations of this. I still can't believe they made a whole animated series during the 90s.

Yep, that's Greg, Snogoff-ing his mother. Now incest is something the original never had. Good lord, they turned Macross into a Greek tragedy! Is this what they mean by "not for little kids"?

Ooh, mini update! Apparently, there's also gonna be a live DVD of the Nekki Basara tribute concert. YOSHIKI FUKUYAMA Fire Bomber 2005~A Tribute to Nekki Basara~ (TNDA-0002/Y5,800 tax in) Pretty overpriced, though, IMO. Remember, again, that this is just gonna be the old Basara songs... I would recommend the previous DVD, entitled "Long Long Live", which contains mostly Fukuyama's own material. Unfortunately, it appears that one's sold out now. Wonder what the big Basara revival deal is all about. I hope we get a "proper" Fukuyama album this year, since although last year's was pretty good, the previous year's was a bit disappointing and was mainly studio versions of previously unrecorded live tracks.

Then ya gotta change the title to X-Women, or I'm not watching it.
