    Graham's Sig

I think it's the VF-0 reactive armour. I can't keep track of whether these things have been announced or not. Hell, these days I have trouble finding out what has been released or is still pending...
  2. I hear the SV-51 is out on the shelves right now. On your marks, get set, review!!
  3. The animation for the movie was also produced by Tatsunoko and Anime Friend.
  4. I heard about this about a decade ago but this is the first time I've ever seen it. Shame there's no sound. But for 1982 (apparently), this looks fantastic. The characters are close to how Monkey Punch originally drew them, and I think his art is even more beautiful than Miyazaki's when it comes to characters. The 80's were definitely the golden age of anime. Why does everything have to look so cheap now? I also would like to know how to download this.
  5. My friend's Gunbuster SOC broke soon after purchase. A die-cast part, even.
  6. Akira has an English dub and subtitle track on it. Tokyo Godfathers has subtitles. Macross Plus 1-4 has of course the "International Version" US dub on it (but a different cast for volume 4 -- I think there were problems with the master, gotta check out what happened with that). Erm, that's all I can think of so far, but then I don't watch so much anime these days.
  7. Japan has to wait until August. Man, they really hate Transformers, in spite of all the Takara stuff.
  8. This just in: Steve Jablonbsky is doing the music score, and apparently they are using taiko drums! http://www.soundtrack.net/features/article/?id=235 I'm pleased to hear this, Jablonsky did the music for Steamboy, and I liked that. In fact, out of sheer coincidence this morning I was watching the interview with him on the DVD as I had my breakfast.
  9. SHIN: Shouldn't you have two of those?
  10. It's weird, there's a white blank block where the main text should be. Guess I better take a look at the mag itself.
  11. I'm gonna see it on the 1st or 2nd, nya-hah! http://www.sonypictures.jp/movies/spider-man3/index.html
  12. Also MP1 has images of Bumblebee and Starscream in the arm communicators, while MP4 has I think Grimlock and someone else.
  13. There's two more parodies by that same guy: A day in the life of Shockwave, and my personal favourite, Wheeljack's stupid excuses for giving the Dinobots small brains. The funniest thing is that the voices are uncannily similar.
  14. It does, right underneath the word "MACROSS". It's a just bit small.
  15. Looks like Macross 7 is back on the air. At 3am, Wednesday nights. Boy, they're not really trying to make it mainstream at all, are they?
  16. Is the tagline for that logo, "Diet Transformers -- The Choice of a New Generation"?
  17. Starscream is cool, there are a few stress marks on mine but I've transformed it loads of times. He does fall over backwards often because of the back weight: wings, nosecone, tailfins... You can get him to stand in a few poses, though, it's not that tough. You just have to twist the legs at an angle and stuff.
  18. Yep, looking good. If I only had the choice of one, I'd pick TF, though, no-brainer. But of course I'll be seeing both. Maybe. Nice to see that Starscream and Optimus Prime have roles in this new Die Hard, anyway . Maybe I can get the best of both worlds if I just see this one!! So who's gonna be the fist to make a TF/DieHard mashup trailer? Doesn't look so difficult, judging by the vehicle action here...
  19. They must've lost the masters. And it's even worse -- I'm pretty sure they just got hold of the compressed movie files that used to be (or probably still are) on the TF Archive website. I think that way they can avoid having to pay the child actors any royalties.

    Battle Damaged Toys

    Nah, that's just "brittle damage".
  21. I can't remember exactly what, but I know Kawamori did some designs for this show.
  22. Exactly. Plus it's gonna have to be really, really good for me to get anything with the word "WHAM!" on it. Hey, Graham, do you want us to wake you up before you go go?
  23. Oh my god, I totally forgot about Kikujiro's theme! Yes, that is without a doubt my favourite. Beautiful.
  24. You know, Joe Hisaishi also did the BGM for Mospeada. I was absolutely stunned when I found out... Because it ain't the best, to be honest. I love most of the other stuff he does, though, especially his solo piano stuff. The soundtrack from Beat Takeshi's "Sonatine" is also fantastic. Dana, as always, your photos are great.
  25. Created by Avi Arad. Huh.
