  1. Awesome. I love seeing pics like this. Unfortunately, it pisses me off a bit because last week I went in to a record shop to buy that DYRL soundtrack which had been there for ages and of course it was GONE. Goddammit!!! It was only 500 yen!!! But I never got round to buying it cos I alway had something else to do. I've been kicking myself for the past few days 'cause that's a beautiful cover artwork that ought to be displayed and tiny CD jackets just do not do it justice. Anyway, yeah, Mospeada, it's a good show.
  2. I dunno. I wouldn't put it past these companies. Remember that this is a detailed man-doll which comes with a complex transforming apparatus. When you consider the $500 price tag of the new Minmay doll in that other thread, you can see that these guys are smoking the same joint and it kinda makes sense when you subscribe to their screwed-up logic. I can say these will probably be extremely limited.
  3. Thanks, man. The rest of you: just watch it and see. EDIT: Also, thanks for that Youtube link, that was pretty damn well made.
  4. Not seen a fansub around, but you don't need one, there's no story. Basically, it IS Macross Seven, but with the Aquarion gang! And yeah, the title is technically "Ippatsu..." but the other title in English shown on the packaging reads "Hymn of Triumph", so ignore my previous post, they are one and the same. The MAIN movie seems to have just been the OAVs back to back as some have said.
  5. I had not listened to any of your podcasts before, but I really enjoyed this very much! Well done. I have not seen the show in a long time and that podcast reminded me of some of the things I love about it. While it is not perfect, I do think Macross 7 is a great show, and you can enjoy it no matter your age, as long as you are not expecting something else. It just so happens that I recently decided to make some Mac7 DVDs for my little brother so I'll get the chance to see a bit of it again soon.
  6. QFT. And oh LORD, don't get me started on Nobutoshi Hayashi. They DID release a couple of live videos from their concerts and... well, there are no words.
  7. When you make a post, in the bottom right hand corner of the main text box there is a small box in which you can select your attachments, with an UPLOAD button next to it. Just browse and select your file on your computer, then click upload. Hey presto.
  8. Yes, that's true, but it's still not clear to me if you're trying to say whether that has been fixed so that you DON'T have to do all the fiddling about on the Proto, or not.
  9. Yeah that's great, but let's talk about the ride armor toys, shall we...? (joking, don't kill me!!)
  10. Upload please!! BTW are you sure you do not mean the 15th anniversary concert...?
  11. Yeah, I think the chest is different, I think it is longer. Anyway, I hear 90% of it is new parts, that's pretty awesome. As for the cockpit hatch, I'm not sure what you mean because you can do that on the original Garland just fine.
  12. Lazy git Alex sent me a pic of the damaged goods. MOTORCYCLE FREAK THAT'S YOUUUU!!!
  13. Seeing some of the Hot Rods and Starscreams (sounds like some fantasy rock & roll album Handbags and gladrags) up close, I was disappointed with the face sculpts. They both have random grimaces and the paint on SS's teeth is so bad sometimes that he looks like he's drooling.
  14. If Fukuyama uploaded this himself the chances are this is NOT from the actual 25th anniversary concert with Mari, Kawamori and gang; rather, this is probably from that Fire Bomber reunion concert he did with Chie Kajiura a couple of months after that -- which there WILL be a DVD of. So I guess this is like a preview of the DVD. By the way, anyone else have the DVD of the 2005 Fukuyama Fire concert? He had an actual Basara guitar made especially for that, I think you can see that somewhere on Youtube too.
  15. Here's something I may have missed in this thread, but I thought was news.. Apparently there is a CF version of the CMs out, it was a Wonderfest exclusive. It's really expensive now though. And it's a good thing that the Megahouse releases appear to be made well and don't randomly break and last a long time, eh? ....Eh?..........................
  16. Yeah. I'd like one with a nice deep blue and silver design. Even blue and white. With a bit of thought these molds can really look like amazing.
  17. Just got my factory colour Garland yesterday. People said that the shoulders on the military version and this one had been fixed, and sure enough, I've heard of no breakages since then, but I was still scared $hitless whilst transforming it. I didn't get the Proto-Garland because I'm not crazy about the colour, so when the inevitable repaint comes out I may get that... unless it's another diarrhoea variant.
  18. Quick correction: He's actually saying, "Following on from a certain work which was "loved for 12,000 years"...." Basically, he's talking about Aquarion (the 10,000 and 2,000 years thing is a reference to the now-famous-among-geek-circles opening theme, where they sing "I've been loving you for 10,000 and 2,000 years" 「一万年と二千年前から愛してる...」etc). He worked with Kawamori (thus the Aqua Chogokin DX) back then, and now they're back together again, doing the MacF toys.
  19. Amazing how "perfect transformation" can become "completely deformed". I wonder if the 1/100 will be transormable. The last line says that we should expect other figures too, not just the main valk. Which is cool, I was half thinking Bandai would just bring out the Chogokin and a couple of kits, and that would be it. GBP goodness..?
  20. Lots of info here. http://macross.anime.net/production/software/index.html
  21. I must say, those exposed shoulder and hip joints are not that much better looking than the revoltechs. And I can't help but feel that the 1/144 VF-11C kit by Bandai had a nicer sculpt, though less articulation. I feel for Yamato and their effort, but if I am gonna buy any non-transformable figures, I will get the Revoltechs. Though I'm not that interested in either at the moment. I would rather Yamato concentrate on bringing us more transforming stuff like a 1/60 VF-11B or a VF-4, because I doubt they can capture this market.
  22. Haven't played them, but I guess you just have to type stuff in a certain amount of time. If you don't know Japanese, they'd be challenging to say the least.
  23. Yeah according to the writer of the blog it seems like there are a few areas where more or better parts could have been used, but it cannot be helped because Kawamori was limited to the pieces in those kits. He goes on to say that this design would have been much better and looked more "complete" had Kawamori had full control over exactly what pieces he could use. Maybe some day...?
  24. Someone did get one a few pages back. No scans yet though.
