The beauty of After in the Dark as a cliffhanger was Watanabe's masterful audio-visual editing... As you zoom in slowly into Myung's worried face, or as Guld is walking away leaving Isamu battered in the background, you can hear the intro faintly fade in... "Dee... dee-deee...dee..." and you KNOW it's coming... Then the "TO BE CONTINUED" hits you, along with: "BAAAAM!! Boom, boom! ...BA-DAA-DAAANG! Boom-boom! Leee-vaashaaalaaah... Duvah..." (or whatever the hell the lyrics are) And you feel like you've just been punched in the face, then you're stumbling and you realise "Gaaah! Gotta wait another half-a-year or more to see what happens now! -

Sheryl Noam Chomsky? -
Yeah, that's "Pulse", which is probably my favourite Yoko Kanno song ever. Intriguing content, too. Space-based Solar Power.. Sounds pretty cool.
-
That would have to be four pilots then -- you need two versions of Hikaru, remember he changes costume (somehow) while on the alien ship, between his date with Minmay and his escape with Misa.
-
So much great mecha stuff here. A few of my faves: The Dal (too bad you never see this properly transforming), the Deemora, and a Mu robot (heavy type -- the skinny ones look a little too brittle).

I bought the mag mainly for the Mikimoto interview, since it's been years since I've read one with him. Haven't actually gotten round to it yet though. Also, yeah, the magazine is small, so 40 pages is really not that much... Though you get a whole lot more bang for your buck than with an individual issue of Macross Chronicle. I mean, 690 yen?? "Rockin' On" magazine is like 230 pages and it's only 650y. -
That's just because of all the part-swapping BS on the arms that I couldn't be bothered with. Besides, it isn't WRONG per se, this version of the Gerwalk is actually used in the episode where some kid and an old guy steal the orguss and Kei decides to help them out in exchange for the guy's grand-daughter or something, the player that he is. I LOVE this show! As for the aesthetic issue, I agree that it's a like-it-or-hate-it thing in a way, but Drifand makes a good point that the mecha is so diverse, there must be something to like, be it from the Emaan, Terram or Mu worlds, or even the Bronco II etc.

OK, well, to my knowledge (and I'm very confident on this) they didn't re-sell the albums together. A lot of the old albums got reissued this year, but the only new compilation of previous releases has been the Macross Maximum CD single box, which has 9 CDs which are just singles and their B-sides, so no albums there. Your question is still only about Mylene Jenius sings Lynn Minmay, and I got that one over ten or eleven years ago, and I can tell you that "Anata e no Love Song" was not previously recorded by Mari for any Macross album though it was written by her. Now, whether or not she sings it on any of her own albums from this period or later I'm not so sure since I do not have ALL her albums, but if it was I think I would know about it so I doubt it. Either way, it is safe to say she wrote it for the Mylene album.

Oh, OK, sorry! It's funny -- and sad -- because it's true.
-
Yeah, very funny. If I remember correctly, the old 1/60 two-seaters were actually more expensive than the others, for some reason. Well, that was a long time ago. As I stated in the other thread, I haven't really cared about these new 1/60s until now so I don't even know how much they're supposed to cost.
-
YESS!! OK, was there a tag stating price, release date, etc?
-
I'm with a lot of other people here, I'm not one of those that must have the VF-1 in every scale, so I'm just gonna wait until something new comes up. I never got the previous 1/60 Ostrich or 1D or the Elintseeker, so I'll probably just get those and that'll be my lot. (Of course I say that NOW... Back in the day I thought I only "needed" the Low-vis from the 1/48 line. Ended up getting four.)
-
Thanks! Whoa... In that second pic... are those leg missiles?? Never seen those before!
-
Mari Iijima wrote that one just for the album, and that was then used as a song which Minmay wrote onboard the Megaroad, which Tomo Sakurai "covered". There is no actual release of a recording of that song with Minmay as vocalist. EDIT -- The thread title is a little misleading, since this is a question dealing specifically with the Mylene Sings Minmay album and not Song Collection.

This might be old news, but since there are a million Orguss threads already I don't want to search through all of them, so I'll just post here. ORGUSS IS BACK, BABY!! Well, kind of. In video game form. http://superrobotwar.wordpress.com/2008/06...obot-wars-z-pv/ Not sure what platform this is, but anyway, Super Robot Wars actually makes sense now! (It seems they use the Orguss concept of parallel universes beig jumbled up together, which is cool.) Other interesting appearances include Eureka Seven and Aquarion.

OK. To save you the trouble: I already have the mag, it's NOT included. I bought both, it cost over 2,000 yen altogether. EDIT -- Oh, and by the way: Hurry. Might just be my area, but the binders are understocked. I got mine this morning and there were only like four left. Plenty of actual magazines though.

OK, thanks, glad to see that feature was improved.

Pressing "show results" counts as a null vote so yeah, you can't vote later. If you log out, you can see the results without voting, nor a null vote, so that would be the best thing to do.
