When I mention Macross to people, they either don't know anything about it, or have only seen Macross Frontier.

Anime convention in Western Kentucky. The theme for this year is mecha, guest of honor is Tiffany Grant who many know of as the voice of Asuka Langley from Evangelion, and Moruk Laplamiz/ in the english dub of Macross that was released a few years ago. Also of note- the Robotech console games came out on the GC and Xbox as well. Unfortunately you can't play Battlecry or Invasion on the 360.

Could someone that understands Japanese please translate what Hikaru says in the trailer? I'm assuming it's something along the lines of "I am from the SDF-1, my name is Hikaru Ichijo", but was wondering for sure. It's about at 0:39 or so.

I'm getting a 1/55 reissue in a day or so from another member here, are the reissues compatible with Jetfire's super parts? I'm thinking about tracking them down, maybe painting them to the appropriate colors.

Clash of the Bionoids was one of my first real forays into Macross. It's laughably bad. I remember renting that a few times when I had to stay at my grandmother's house.

I saw it Thursday Night/Friday Morning, my only complaint is about a big plot hole. I mean It bothers me a little but, other than that, I thought it was great.

I actually liked Rob's stuff when I was 15 or so, because I thought that Cable&Shatterstarr were so badass. Now when I go back and look at his artwork, I'm just genuinely not impressed, especially after I heard that he plagarized from other pieces, such as the Roadblock from GI Joe turning into Cable in the same exact pose.

I'm still enjoying it, almost to level 25, aka level "omg I can get a mount! dammit! I don't have enough for mount training and the f'ing mount costs too much!" , which half would normally apply to me, except I got the collector's ed, and get a free mount that's sitting in my bank for when I get the training
