Okay, I'm currently downloading the Commie version. They did some kind of 10-bit encode to knock the file size down. They put a disclaimer about using the proper codec for viewing. Are you using a compatible one? This is kind of crucial, since I can always go back to downloading the movie piece by piece from a source I found.

Exedore's voice actor was pretty good. Max, however... It seemed like he was, once again, unnaturally changing his voice to fit the part. He and Milia were very muffled and quiet, but when Exedore spoke, I had to turn my speakers back down, lol. Chlore was not bad, either. Isn't "Micronian" a Robotech term?

I use mkvmerge and mkvtoolnix. Handbrake is a pile of crap; I enjoyed deleting that off of my hard drive. mkvmerge takes a bit of research to use, but it's lightweight and efficient. I was repackaging subs into mkv format for 1080p Macross Zero episodes in just over 30 seconds. I downloaded Handbrake to see if it'd convert to .mp4 or .avi... didn't even work and it was sooooo slooooowwwww.

Well, I ask because I can just merge a subtitle track together with a raw. I've been doing it with Macross Zero raws off of Boinger's site and finding subtitle tracks off your usual sites. Would be nice to have the movie waiting on my hard drive when the subs come out. I can just click a few buttons, wait about 30 seconds and have a subtitled version for my own personal viewing pleasure! I'll keep looking for a direct-download site in the meantime...

My patience is wearing thin.... I may cave soon and watch an embedded video of the movie, but I'm hoping to find a 720 or 1080 version of the movie, along with a subtitle track so I can just package them together. I've checked some subtitling groups' websites to see if any of them are working on the subs for this movie, but I haven't been able to find any evidence of a project in progress. Who would be the most likely to release a track?

Then, it only gets better from there, huh? I've secretly been wondering how long it's going to take for anime52k8 to make a Bronies thread over in the Off-topic forum.

Obligatory brohoof! I don't actually watch the series, but I did see the first episode. Good stuff!

Good news! I managed to clear up my busy schedule for some quality reading time. If anyone hasn't checked it out, Che's story is worth a read. It's not terribly long, but it gets to the point with appropriate expediency. If you have 30 minutes to spare, I suggest spending it wisely by reading it.

Crap, I completely forgot to read your last few chapters. I probably won't have time until Thursday or Friday.

All Things Video Games Thread: II

I'd love to get into flight sims, but I want to get a good rudder set. Too bad they're hard to find and are expensive as hell. Maybe after I graduate... -
So what is going on with these forums at the moment.

Regardless, I think it looks great! -
I understand that it's a subjective matter. What I mean is that if it makes you have to stop and think about it, it probably is controversial enough. I'm sure we all agree that the site is PG-13 style, but there are some who don't really care, as we see from anime52k8.

All Things Video Games Thread: II

Okay, Dungeon Defenders just came out two days ago and it's freaking awesome! For you PC users, there's a demo version available on Steam. This game is cross-platform: PC, 360, PS3, iOS. There's no reason you shouldn't give this game a good look! I've been waiting for this game to come out for a couple of months and the wait was well worth it. -
If you have to ask yourself "Is this appropriate?", it probably isn't.

You know, I kind of have to ask. I have a Robotech Toynami Ben Dixon VF-1A that is missing its gunpod. I contacted Toynami about a replacement and they never returned my e-mail. Is there a possibility of making a replacement pod using this program and caster? I think the model is 1/55, but I'm not 100% sure on that.
-
Yeah, I'll probably check these out after I've seen the second movie.

No, it happens to me every once in awhile. I just ctrl+c my post text and if it doesn't post, I check the thread before reposting, so I don't double-post. It's not very inconvenient, though. -
hehe... it seems that a lot of us are busy with our own fan projects at the time. Perhaps I can see how I can help when winter break comes around. By then, I'll have completed a semester in learning how to use Pro-Engineer for modeling. Not sure how well that program stands up against other modelling utilities, but it's an offer, I suppose! Bah, I just noticed you require Google Sketchup. Maybe it's similar to other 3-D modellers?

This is kind of what I was implying when I asked about the motivation behind your CG models in another thread. I'll read it and Che's Ch.4 when I get a chance. Still trying to get all of this damn homework done...

I was wondering what Casper van Dien has been up to all these years. Looks like he's completely committed to the franchise now, huh?- 121 replies

Nice little personal flare on that VF model. I really like the way you did the panel lining.
