  1. Yep! Pretty good! It has a Batman Beyond feeling to it, too. They got a handful of familiar names as voices, including the legendary Bruce Boxleitner (nice move, imo). Carl Winslow really sounds old now... lol. General Tesler was a pretty bitchin' character. Didn't recognize it was Lance Henriksen's voice.
  2. Played a wizard up through level 10. It's pretty fun so far. Every time I play, I find something new about the game that would have helped me in the earlier levels. If Blizzard can actually keep their servers reliable, the game is a definite must-try. The launch, of course, has been marred by overloaded servers and emergency maintenance windows (which is why I'm here posting at this moment). This actually falls in line with their track record, when it comes to release of new content. I know that they'll work the kinks out within a couple of days, though.
  3. Never played 1 or 2 either, but I know this game is gonna rock. No reason to NOT try #3. Don't hate, Keith.
  4. Surprised nobody's been asking here yet, but... I am curious as to who's going to be playing Diablo 3 tonight at the launch? I'd like to build a list of people to play with.
  5. "We brake for nobody."
  6. I see this "tattoo" you spoke of earlier. I used to use that as my old forum avatar:
  7. I wonder if this comic is inspired by someone's everyday life after recently becoming a father...
  8. I'm also partial to the ridiculousness of the windmill gundam from G-Gundam... I think he was from the Netherlands. Well, duh...
  9. Please tell us more about how you feel, David.
  10. Hi, Neldorwen! I actually have a few of your pictures saved on my computer, so it's great to be able to interact with you now. Keep up the awesome work!
  11. Every time I watch that SF3 video, I have to replay it at least ten times. Hardcore epic win. I watched an episode of that Acchi Kocchi. Pretty good. I've always preferred mecha and sci-fi anime over anything else, but it seems my likes are spreading to more genres. I credit Toradora as the series that opened my eyes to slice-of-life genre and the moe-tsundere character. Acchi Kocchi is pretty much the same kind of series, it seems. I might have to give it a try when the semester is finally over.
  12. As soon as I get control over my hectic schedule again, I'll shoot Lancel another message on FF.net. I checked in with him a couple of months ago and we briefly exchanged messages, but he didn't say whether or not he was going to continue. Coincidentally, he asked me if I was going to update soon... of course, I couldn't answer with any kind of certainty. I've got to keep on top of my homework if I want to keep my GPA above a certain point. I have less than two weeks left in the semester, then exams, and then a three-week break before summer classes start. I'm looking for a new place to live and trying to sell my car. I hope I'll have some time to get something done soon. I'm sure most of my subscribers have abandoned all hope by now...
  13. I'm under the impression that his pictures are companions to some fanfic he's been writing for the last couple of years. I could be mistaken, though.... Kronnang is usually the one who finds these pics out there. Presumably on Danbooru?
  14. Is there any indication that Inui's stuff will be translated? I'm deathly curious to know the context of these awesome pictures.
  15. Absolutely fascinating watch. Thanks for posting. I wonder if I'll be lucky enough to participate in such a program sometime after I graduate.
  16. After looking into this one, it appears that this is a game called "Tech Romancer" and it uses mecha designed by Studio Nue. I see some blurbs that this "Rafaga" was actually designed by SK for this game.
  17. Despite Shin's age, I also felt that Zero had a more "adult" feel to it. We know that Frontier was marketed towards a younger audience and I originally did not like this fact all that much. However, I found myself becoming attached to the more "adult" supporting cast as I worked my way through watching it. I don't really like the series's main trio, but I got around it by focusing on the things I do like a lot more. See? It's not hard to have some criticism for something that's widely accepted by most of the fanbase, and still present it in a very diplomatic way. If anyone took extreme exception to what I just stated, can it!
  18. Just do what you can to keep the haters happy, Nash. I have a fanfiction thread in the Fan Works forum where you're more than welcome to post. We always need new content to discuss.
  19. Seems like kind of a hostile response, Keith. Although I don't see how it's a violation of the TOS, there's more diplomatic ways of redirecting his comments to the appropriate place.
  20. Nice idea! It's too bad I've never seen Haruhi Suzumiya, so I have no idea what's going on
  21. I've been completely buried in schoolwork all semester, plus I've been in a relationship for the past few months and all of my free time is dedicated to her I'll read it when I get a chance. Hopefully, things will quiet down a bit as I near finals week next month. I'll have a three-week break before summer classes start, too.
  22. Strange... it was implied that it was the Octos that fired the torpedo. Mind = blown
  23. I did see some of Gurren Lagann, including its ending. Yeah, that was a pretty good one. I don't watch a ton of anime like you guys do, but I just want to know what's going to be worth sitting down and watching when I get a craving for something new. I'm currently working through Moretsu Space Pirates, albeit quite slowly (good thing, too... since it's not yet done). Based on what's been talked about here, I may give Another a shot soon.
  24. Welcome to the boards! Although I can't answer your question, I'm sure it's in an appropriate place and will get answered quickly by one of our resident gurus.
  25. You know what I mean. Seems like many of the negative opinions on various series in this thread are centered around an unsatisfactory ending. I already specified why I didn't like the ending to the Tenchi Muyo OVA. Not everyone's gonna agree, but you'll have your majority opinions on one side or the other... and it's usually on the negative side. Hell, there was a bit of griping about the ending to the second Frontier movie. Fortunately, the rest of the movie was epic enough to make up for it. Feels like such a let-down when it doesn't fire on all cylinders like that. This was the first thing I thought about, but I didn't say it because I thought it was already pretty obvious. I was sad about the series conclusion, but it was done so masterfully, it didn't really matter after the dust settled. I loved Toradora as a whole, but the ending felt like it was rushed. Macross Frontier was awesome, but the ending was also rushed! I felt like they left so many loose ends untied, so it wasn't very satisfactory to me. I'm wondering if it's just the culture here that differs from the Japanese culture. We've kind of been programmed to expect the heroes to ride off into the sunset after saving the town from a horde of bloodthirsty bandits.
