Yeah, I get the fact that hero gundams sell, but it would be great to have a non main character mech be translated to a PG. And yeah, I really wish Bandai would stop milking the strike frame. With the strike freedom, this is going to be the THIRD reiteration of the strike (excluding repaints and limited versions). I understand the fact that the strike frame is one of the best there is, but Bandai should focus on making a better new frame rather than using the same old strike frame. In all seriousness, I am really tired of the same old "bend to move outer plates and expose inner joint" stuff that the strike frame features. I really miss the old mechanical feel of the PGs, like in the mk II and GP - 02. Lastly, one would think that a ReZEl would be marketable considering the fact that it has a fairly interesting gimmick (transformation), a relatively important character does pilot one (Riddhe Marcenas), and it has the potential to sell considering it is one of the most featured mechs in Unicorn, which seems to be quite popular right now.

Yeah, I really like the look and design feel of the ReZEL. It feels like its supposed to be an actual all purpose machine built for combat rather than some uber crazy main character gimmick filled gundam that we have seen before. I really hope we'll be able to see a PG ReZEL sometime in the future. I think, based on the great quality of the mg, that a new transforming PG could really boost the line.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Bf7Q-iwO4e0 I gotta say, this new "gunpla builders" series is a very new outlook on gunpla. I actually kind of like the theme of applying real world gunpla aspects into the anime, and the designs are pretty cool as well.

I think it would be cool if yamato could put in a back-lit LED screen for the inside of the valkyrie's cockpits. This seems like a feasible idea that wouldn't obstruct transformation or line art accuracy. I especially like how Kicker773 customized one of his valkyries to have exactly that, an LED screen in the cockpit. (picture credited to Kicker773)

Well then, you should look at this: http://www.gundampro.com/news/spectacular.php It was made by a modeler, so I don't think you can buy one, but it still looks REALLY cool!

Well, I don't really mind. I didn't really like seed as a whole, but I thought some of the mecha were cool, especially the freedom. Besides that, one of the best, if not THE best PG gundam was in fact (and many would agree with me here) the aile strike. So..... I am hoping that this design turns out to be just as good. (though I really could have used a PG hi - nu or unicorn)

I hope not. I really wanted to buy one, and didn't they say that the projected price would be about $1000? I really believe that for a series as big as gundam, there would be a LOT of takers at that price point, especially for so much detail on the figure and the limited production. I hope we see it again......hopefully, they are just delayed. I too would take it over this new 1/60 gunpla.

I think you are thinking of the 1/35 Tamashii Collectors RX - 78 - 2 Gundam FIX? It was displayed at many different conventions last year (including comic - con I think), and it was supposed to be released March of this year, but I haven't heard a word about it lately..... Does anyone have information?

I've never heard about a 1/60 GFFMC.....

Actually, now that I think about it.....doesn't that "model" look a lot like the 1/60 resin statue that bandai made as a replica to the previous gundam statue? You know, the replica statue that cost $900.....?

So, does anyone know what this is all about? http://ngeekhiong.blogspot.com/2010/08/160-gundam-rx-78-2-with-light-up.html I really want this if the features mentioned by ngee khiong are true!

Gundam Figure Thread - Newtype GN-002
Archer replied to Black Valkyrie's topic in Anime or Science Fiction
Really? I could have sworn that Bandai made a statement that it would be for sale to the public for about $1000 and it would come with like a special collector's base and serial number. Maybe I missed the only retailer model memo..... Would anyone know how to put in an order to buy one, maybe from a retailer that has it or something? -Archer- 6025 replies

Gundam Figure Thread - Newtype GN-002
Archer replied to Black Valkyrie's topic in Anime or Science Fiction
Hey guys, I have been wondering something lately. Remember that 1/35 Gundam FIX that was supposed to come out? Is that project still in the works by Bandai, or has it been cancelled? I've been wanting to buy the figure when it came out, but I can't seem to find anymore updates about. Is it another case of vaporware? I hope not -Archer- 6025 replies

I went and saw it.....even spent the extra $4 for the real D 3D. I really did enjoy the trailers before the movie in 3D....very creative and fun. I wish I had left the theater after the trailers....

Yeah, I thought the trailer was sweet too. Raiden's body seems more mechanical this time around, and things seem to be much darker. Game looks promising, but I am worried that it will lose value if the sword is the only thing a player gets to use throughout the whole game. -Archer (btw, what is that weird blue LED holster thing that moves around his body)

pretty cool, but it is too early to tell if the whole system is gonna be a success what worries me the most is the very limited movement that the demonstrator actually makes when he interacts with the game. Kind of reminds me of the horrors that was the eyetoy on the ps2. -Archer

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YvrbUWEKRnk Has anyone else been following this? off-topic: this game is gonna be sweet (at least for me, as I was one of the weird kids who liked Raiden) on-topic: the new game is most-likely gonna have some sweet new MGs that could be a possibility for a model as well

Check this out! Looks like G System is gonna be producing a new 1/72 Kshatriya. I am pretty excited to see how it will turn out. This thing is gonna be HUGE!

Maybe its just me, but I can't see the relevance of the toy's weathered look to either mgs4 or the previous games. In all the games, Rex seems to have a camo going, not weathering. Its even apparent in the picture. I don't know, maybe i am just color blind. -Archer (who is hoping dearly for a Ray)

I like the pics, but i couldn't find any mention of them doing a MG Ray next? Is there any official confirmation? Thanks

Yeah, I really liked it too. Its one of those movies that you can just sit back and enjoy. No need to really think (if u know what i mean) I love the way action and comedy are both integrated to make the movie a fun experience. Nice ending too

Same here. When I was watching the movie, the stunts that were performed made me think that I was watching Assassin's Creed rather than Prince of Persia. The roof to roof jumping, wall scaling, etc. as well as even the swordplay seemed to draw more from Assassins's Creed than PoP. I really didn't enjoy the movie all to well. Kind of a let down. I was hoping for a lot more than what I got.

Well, I broke down and ended up buying Battlefield. I didn't want to waste a month of summer waiting for a game that may or may not be good. Finished the story, and it was pretty satisfying, though it kind left me feeling like I had accomplished nothing from start to finish. Just started the multiplayer, and boy o boy, this beats Modern Warfare 2 by a longshot. I started with the recon kit, and i am loving it. Its so fun to snipe, and each kill is a lot more satisfying than in MW2. m24 ftw!

"We have decided to produce a 1/72 character from the Unicorn series. Stay tuned." This was just posted on G System Shop's site by the staff. I am pretty excited! Just looking at the already - made 1/72 Sinanju gives me hope that this will be another awesome kit. Any thoughts on what the mobile suit might be? I am thinking stark jegan because other mobile suits like the Re-ZEL, or unicorn itself, would be difficult to translate into resin. -Archer
