I see each of the age generations as kind of a UC + 00 amalgation with a creative new plot. For example, generation 1 was rx-78-2 with a nice 00 aesthetic construction to it (much like 0 gundam), generation 2 is zeta gundam with some 00 aesthetics to it (kyrios + exia?), and generation 3 (if that gundam pic that was leaked is true) is ZZ gundam with some 00 aesthetics to it (nadleeh or seravee?). I dunno, but I wouldn't mind an AGE-2 or AGE-3 Perfect Grade gundam. They really need to put out one of those this year or something....

Yamato 1/60 VF-17 Nightmare Diamond Force
Archer replied to charger69's topic in Hall Of The Super Topics
That's one of the things that scares me the most on Yamato valks. They are sooo tight right out of the box that I feel like every step I am doing is wrong, and that somehow I'll screw everything up and break it. Usually, after my first transformation cycle, the whole experience just feels dirty..... I almost threw up my heart when I opened up the ratchet ankles of the 19 kai for the first time. Do you guys like loosen the screws or something before transforming it? You all make it look so simple in the videos, and I end up wrestling the toy.... -

Haha, @ Eugimon, for a quick second, I thought he threw away the V.2 (don't know, seemed kinda thin from the side). Didn't see anything funny about that, but then I saw the cruddy shark gun and lol'd...

Sweet Car Vostok! Sorry if I'm being impolite, but how much did all of that cost (the car + insane amounts of upgrades) O_O? Do you do rally race or anything of that sort?

Graham, didn't you mention in one of these threads that there is nothing toy related that is causing the hiatus in M7 products, so it's not that exciting Maybe I just read that wrong Concerning Jenius remark, I would totally hope you are right. As other members have said, it is the 10th anniversary of zero, and that has to mean something right? Let's hope for that VF-0d that we've all been waiting years for, or maybe that reactive armor Regarding the unannounced project that Jenius is hinting to, didn't the SV-51 just kinda show up in hobby magazines before it was even announced? I hope that is the case with this as well... Anyways, back to the topic at hand, I'm a little scared at all the pictures that are cropping up with that skull logo all scratched up due to the hinges in the back wingplate...

I too ended up skipping the Ozma with the assumption that Yamato would head into 2012 strong with a slew of releases and Bandai might throw in a VF-25g and/or bundle sometime in the middle of all that as well. Alas, my assumptions have failed me, as Yamato has delayed everything until quarter 4 of this year for who knows what (maybe they're just taking a really REALLY long vacation, and that's what this is all about), and Bandai keeps bashing my head in with stupid websclusives. Toy world, I am dissapoint Maybe I'll go build some Gundam models. There never seems to be an end to those....

Well, the collectionDX review seemed to be somewhat upbeat on the Maia shadow fighter review (as in, it is a more solid release due to factory change), so if you do go with the Toynami, get that one! Maybe if your good with painting, you can paint a beta to match as well

Don't quote me on this, but I heard that the newly issued Shadow Fighter (the Maia version) from Toynami was pretty solid compared to previous alphas (I heard they switched factories), but that's really only if your into Shadow Chronicles stuff....and don't mind the lack of a corresponding beta..

I agree wholeheartedly for the stand as well. For me atleast, many times, the thing that really sold me on items like the SV-51, YF-21, and even 1/10 Beagle Ride Armors and Gundam Fix Figuration stuffs, was the inclusion of the stand, which really does open up a lot of ground to use the toy. I honestly wish, regardless of price hikes, that almost all Yamato toys came at least with a basic stand.

^ I always hated the gekkos. Couldn't stand the way they moved and acted. They were like farts in motion to me, if that makes sense Consider me bought for this MG Rex. If anyone comes to realize the pre-order date, please do tell me, as I would love to get one. I've never bought any toys from 3A, but do you have to make an account or something on bambaland.com, or can you just troll on in and order? Rumors on forums say easily above $300 due to the compensation for the lisence, and it's size.....

Bandai DX Chogokin YF-29 Durandal Valkyrie
Archer replied to UN Spacy's topic in Hall Of The Super Topics
It's all relative. They don't hate frontier, but they definetely don't care about the franchise as much as their cash cow, teh Gundam... If you look at the quality of the new metal composite origin gundam vs. some of the newer macross releases, the differences and superiority of the Gundam are astonishing on many levels. -

Bandai DX Chogokin YF-29 Durandal Valkyrie
Archer replied to UN Spacy's topic in Hall Of The Super Topics
^Well, it kind of actually is a little silly in that they had ample amounts of other valks they could milk, and most likely sell just as well as the YF-29 (like the VF-171, which was associated with TWO main characters, and had a cannon fodder version as well). The only reason I see Bandai decided on the -29 (although as others have pointed out, makes no real sense in that it's an advanced model of a prototype fighter that hasn't even gone into production yet (the -25 and -27)) is that they could use the retooling for their v.2 VF-25's as well. Meh, Bandai milking the audience..what's new? -
Hey, for those that have taken pre-orders for these kind of items before at Big Bad Toy Store, how long does it generally take for them to ship it out after the valk has been released? I know dealers like HLJ take only a day or two to get the order ready, but considering BBTS is located in the U.S., any ideas? I'm asking because there is a birthday I want to buy this item for, but am concerned of whether or not it will get there on time....

Oh, lol, I didn't see her show up in the recent mag scans. Guess I didn't pay close enough attention. I'm more confident about Largan though. I don't think he showed up in the mags, and it seems like he almost bought it in the last episode as well. Also, ps99042 brings up a good point. Isn't season two set to release in February? If so, I have a feeling this is the last battle for season 1 (or generation 1, whatever). I really don't like how the plot really wasn't all that developed, nor does it really go into why the U.E. are the bad guys. They just kind of labeled them, and told the audience to roll with it. I mean, sure, they defintely could develop the bad guys further in the next few episodes, but I wish they'd done a little more character development with them. Lastly, unless I'm mistaken, the cool new armor switching capabilities really haven't been used much as of late right? I mean, Titus was used in all of what, 2 episodes? I dunno, maybe everything will change for the better in the next few episodes...

Definetely give the first season of 00 a try first. It's honestly the best recent AU gundam, as it deviates from the usual "Gundam Plot", and goes for something a little different, many times even making the gundams look like the bad guy. Of course, season 2 completely ruins it, but give season 1 a try! Gundam AGE, at least to me, feels a lot like all the other gundams out there, with different "special words", and shifting armor rather backpacks for gundam variations...

I can totally see Yurin (well, it seems almost imminent at this point), Largan, and somehow, the Captain and a lot of the crew (including that one female CIC operator) biting it before this first generation season ends.

I actually wouldn't mind FAST packs either. Like Mommar said, since they are going obscure, go all out with it. In other news, I swear EXO's new avatar just looked at me O_O. Someone please tell me that is an animated .gif, and that I'm not just going crazy, and that picture isn't looking into my soul.....
