    I've been wondering, but is much of this stuff available in retail stores in Japan (for thsoe that reside there right now)? I only ask because I have a friend traveling there [Tokyo] this summer, and was hoping he could potentially pick up some of the more rare stuff.

    Just bought my PSV (wi-fi) with 4 GB memory card and Wipout 2048 and Uncharted. Looking good, although I haven't actually opened any of the boxes yet. On a physical note though, botht he memory cards and the Game Cases are SMALL! I wanted to get a large memory card, but all cept for the 4 GB were sold out (I got the last 4 GB at that). On the contrary to what others have said, the PSV stuff is actually moving in terms of market. Thought the shelves would be full, but they weren't at all. (On a good note though, I got the system for only $200 [$50 back on store gift card] and uncharted for $40 [$10 back on store gift card])

    Banagher is becoming more Kira Yamato than I really would like. *Ahem* "I CAN'T DO IT" <--- something Kira should say, not Bangher. I hope things pick up in Episode 5 with the Banshee

    Gah! What's the issue with Bandai these days (and not just on the Macross side of things either). Stuff that is coming out is being released in such insignificant stocks that missing a pre - order dooms one into waiting endless days for a re-release or forking over limbs to evilBay sellers to get one. (Even pre-orders aren't confirmation of recieving a product nowadays). Why is this such an issue with Bandai's newer line-ups? Back in the day, I could have sworn that picking up a V.1 release would have been easy as cake if one desired, even months after release. I just hope things pick up again soon. I've been waiting on a re-release of a LOT of items (once again, not just Macross either [looks at Metal Build 00])

    Anyways, back on topic, I REALLY hope we see some more ReZEL goodness in episode 5, cuz the last two episodes had WAY too much delta plus for my own good. Gah, the ReZEL is such a cool suit (best design from unicorn imho), and I'd like to see a lot more of it, even if it's only as cannon fodder.

    Awww....comon! And transforming flying jets in space (since you don't need *wings* in space) doing maneuvers that would most likely kill the pilot aren't silly? In terms of realistic combat, I actually think that Gundam > Macross most of the time (the one exception that I could think of would be something like Macross Plus). But yeah, like others have said, Unicorn stays consistent in terms of awesomeness throughout the series (One would hope so, being that it takes them 6 months to release a single episode )

    I've got a noob question regarding ordering from HLJ. I've used the store many times before, but I've never purchased an item that was "Backordered". What exactly does "Backordered" mean, and when, in general, can I expect, if ever, to recieve my items? Thanks!

    Does this mean that we will no longer be getting english dubs for the following episodes? Unlike many other series, the english dub wasn't bad at all in Unicorn, and I actually preferred it over the japanese many times just so that I kid watch the action without having to read subtitles.

    I'm not actually surprised at all. As others have said, why would Paramount forego making more of the same movies that brought home the cash cows many times before? The Bay formula is tried and true, and seems to have capitulated young people/old people's hearts all over the globe. I don't care though, since I actually liked the movies, but I do hope that GM doesn't renew the contract so better companies like Volkswagon and affiliated brands can take up the contract.

    Oh, I don't mind too much about lack of painting, as the white camo more than makes up for it to me. Also, I don't plan on using landing gears either, as the support base works just fine for me. As for price, well, it's cheaper than many of the other GFFMCs that I could find, so I'm cool with it. The red edition is coming around $160 everywhere I look, which is cheaper than the origin. Sounds like a plan then.

    I know I am being a n00b by asking a lot of questions, but what thoughts do you guys have about the Metal Composite Z Plus figure(s)? They seem to be the cheapest metal composites that I can find that aren't rx-78's, and my recent love of GFFMC is drawing my attention to them. Is it worth picking one up, or should I simply fork over a lot more cash for the Unicorn? Edit: I guess it's also worth mentioning that even before I really got into Gundam, the Zeta Gundam was always one of my favorite robots, even before watching the anime. The design captivated me a lot, and the Z Plus has a certain something that gets to me as well. I'm just afraid, as I'm seeing a lot of negative reactions online about the figure...

    Yes, I do recall that in episode one, when Marida accidently hits the reactor of a rezel, there is a colony endangering level explosion that results. Kinda forgot about that...

    Really? Could a zaku reactor explosion be that powerful as to destroy jestas on base jabbers a few hundred meters away? I didn't think of that. I simply thought that he was trying to destroy himself so that the feddies couldn't get him on their own (like an ego thing).... I think your guys' explanation makes more sense though

    Ok, watching episode 4 again, can someone fill me in as to why kirks sticks his sniper rifle into the belly of his Zaku? And why the jesta pilots freak out?

    Personally, I'm hoping for that FA Unicorn a lot as well (Though Banshee is cool too). The Master Grade, I've heard, is really nice and displayable, but sucks horrendously when it comes to actual playability and durability. With the metal composite, these issues should be alleviated drastically.... I'd drop the big ones for banshee as well though, it's just that that head fin looks horrid to me compared to the regular unicorn....

    I'm surprised that they are already releasing so much stuff related to Unicorn like the MG FA Unicorn, Final Battle Banshee, regular Banshee, etc. without the anime even nearing the final OVA episode. I wonder what other merchandise they have planned if they are already cranking out sooo many high hitting products. Although a little OT, I hope they re-use that GFFMC mold to create either a FA unicorn or a Banshee. Should be easy milking if you ask me....

    Lol, yeah, omegablue is right, that totally is the underlying issue to why prices in general are increasing globally. Truly a masked issue indeed.....

    ^While I agree with much of what you are saying, I think we all have to realize that these manufacturers are catering to a very niche market, even with popular series like Macross Frontier coming out (although, in terms of what Yamato makes, much of it really is very niche market stuff since they don't cater to any very recent series). That in itself drives down the number of units that these manufacturers can sell to the audience, and it even gets worse when the target audience is soo split in terms of preference over what valkyries, etc. that they like. Therefore, every $1 you spend on a valkyrie will probably be worth a little less in terms of what goes into the figure itself, with the remainder of that dollar acting as a buffer in order to actually make profit even with a small amount of units sold. As a perfect example, take a similar series: Gundam. Gundam, like it or hate it, is a lot more popular than Macross. Whether you hate gundam with all of your living passion or you don't mind it at all, it's simply obvious that it is a more popular series, both internationally and domestically in Japan (1/1 scale Gundam anyone?). For $180, I picked up a metal composite Gundam Origin, and for that same price, I bought a vf-27 from Bandai. Although I can't argue that the VF-27 was a bad toy in anyway (really, it was quite a great toy and a LOT of fun), the Gundam Origin is simply a much more refined piece, with rock SOLID engineering and detail, and the whole thing just feels more thought out. Why? I'm guessing it's because Bandai can sell more units of the Origin than the Vf-27 simply due to the popularity of both the rx-78 and the prospect of the upcoming origin anime, so they can invest more heavily in the figure (producing more units as well), and thus driving down the cost while increasing their own profit margin. Couple all of this with the fact that valkyries have to transform with very intricate parts work, and you're bound to get slightly less refined figures with hit or miss quality. Honestly though, with the way both Yamato and Bandai are improving macross-wise (MUCH better quality), I wouldn't worry too much anymore about bad QC, as that is quickly becoming a thing of the past. I hope that helps, but those are really just my opinions!

    Yeah, I've never ordered either, but they say that it could come incomplete or damaged, with scratches and whatnot. Even at $60, I'd like to avoid getting q unicorn with one arm and half of its bits and parts missing....

    I have as well! (Only Wi-Fi though, don't want/need 3G) The system looks really cool, and I like the interactivity between it and the PS3. Also, I can't wait to play Uncharted on it as well I think that sales should pick up once the U.S. release is on its way, and a few more launch titles are released. Although it's not selling all that well, I have heard that reviews are quite favorable, and that it is a very nice system.

    Thanks a ton man! This will be my [potentially] first robot damashii. How do these robot damashii's stack up against fix figures and what - not? Are they more playable? The byalant seems fairly large for a mobile suit, so I hope it is comparable to a 1/100 rx-78 Also, I just noticed that the Origin Fix Figuration has ball jointed ankles. Gah! They are not lose now, but I can feel them getting loser as I put more weight on the thing....

    @GU-11 I would suspect that leaving a disc in a turned off PS3 to be totally fine, or at least, I've been doing it wrong for the entire lifespan of my PS3. I always leave any game that I am currently playing inside the PS3 disc drive, even for months on end! Needless to say, therefore, since I bought my PS3 day one, it's always had some disc inside it, even when it was shut off. Thus, I don't think leaving a disc in there would be a problem. My PS3 still runs smoothly, and it's a first gen 80GB. I would check up with those with more professional answers than me first though, as I probably have no idea what I am talking about...
