Thanks for the info Azreal. Wow, with only a single episode left after 5, I'm actually gonna be pretty disheartened when the series comes to an end. Gundam Unicorn had to be the single most enjoyed mecha anime series that I've watched, and with unparalleled animation quality. I hope Bandai picks up on the success of unicorn and decides to more of these lengthy movie type OVA's, because the refinement that they have is unbridled.

They're really cranking out those AGE mobile suits aren't they. Already 4 Master Grades (more coming of course) and the second third of the series has just finished.... I'm excited for that Master Grade Blitz though. Will probably be my first Master Grade [that I paint]. Hope to paint it with spray paints and flat coat as a first....

Oh, my bad. Foggy memory must be clouding my mind. As for the events that transpired in the novel vs. the OVA, I would expect that the final episode, if episode five will go as far as I think it will go in terms of plot, would only be slightly longer and still be able to cover everything from the novel. This is assuming that the OVA follows the novel though, as I believe the makers said they'd be deviating slightly from the novel?

A little OT, but wouldn't flying aircraft carriers just be completely unfeasiible, mainly in terms of purpose? I mean, a flying air craft carrier is not only a giant and fairly easy target to hit in the sky with air - to - air missles, but hits in the right place can cause the whole to start a crash dive, which will do further damage. And for me, beyond quick transportation, there are no real advantages to having a flying air craft carrier...

It's even more dissappointing when you see actual retailers (even Anime-Export has done it) falling to the levels of eBay sellers..... Wow, Bandai is really taking advantage of the market, selling just enough so they get profit and raise heightened demand for following releases

*sigh* I really, really want this. And I even prefer the alto version over the cannon fodder or luca variants. I guess I'll just have to wait until July, when all the scalpers put up sales on eBay.... I'll just convince myself that this is the same as the Yamato Vf-17 (as prices most likely will be similar at that stage)...

I agree 100%. I really hope this gets made, even if they don't brand it as Macross or Robotech, as a transforming valkyrie like this that could be built and messed about with without fear of damage sounds pretty cool. Add that to the fact that people like Kawamori design valks with legos, and you've got a pretty cool bit of potential right here...

Threw my support for this as well. I agree about a lot of red tape to get this made though, although if anybody could do it, I think LEGO could. Furthermore, this would be a really fun product that I would totally buy considering the fact that I could transform the dazes out of it without fear of breakage, and I could even simulate battle damage Fun product, and lots of potential.... EDIT: Why not put this on robotech.com? I'm sure there will be a lot of support there as well, regardless of whether it is macross or robotech...

I wonder when that hinted v.3 YF-19 will be announced. I had an inner hope that since they aren't doing Macross 7 stuff till near the end of the year, they would announce the v.3 YF-19 since it is a Macross Plus project. But since they have a VF-4 in the run to design, I guess it does make sense that they wouldn't start a brand new project...

Speaking of the AGE-2, have you guys seen this concept art? Nobody knows as to whether it is fan made or a leaked image of an actual form of AGE-2 (this time, the corresponding version of the Spallow I would guess). Either way, looks really cool, and would be awesome if it was real.

I would like both, cept I can't find the Bandai for any reasonable prices. Even in such a small scale, Bandai can't up the production efforts And I don't want to pay more than a Yammie for not as much product as a Yammie

Don't want to hijack this thread, but I have a question myself. I'm a fan or E7, but does anyone know of good high - end toys of the mecha depicted in the show? I can't find any great figs beyond the Robot Damashiis....

I don't know about Luca, but I'm sure Micheal's scheme is super popular, especially with its throwback to Max's flying colors as well as being a sniper variant. Also, after investing so much in a mold, I'm sure Bandai will want to milk it for what it's worth, especially since both Luca and Micheal, outside of an extra sniper rifle and Radome/Fin, just have a different head....

I'd think that most background characters seem more irrelevant that usual because most don't have any significant connections to the plotline imo. For example, the Asemu - Zeheart relationship seems very similar to Kira - Athrun relationship, and each character (Kira and Athrun) had very close buddies on each respective side (Nicol, Dearka, Tal, Mirialia), and each are introduced with some significance to the story (Tal is best friends with Kira, all of athrun's friends steal Gundams, etc.). In AGE, they just kinda throw most of the team together without very much relevance to the plot. At best, Romary is a plot device (not much more), and the other Adele pilots were kinda randomly introduced as well. If Asemu's buddies from high school became pilots with him, I'm sure I'd remember them more. See, most of AGE's background characters are like the guy who flys the archangel in seed (blue - haired guy). Nobody knows what his name is, but he's always been there....

I'm honestly surprised no new news has come up regarding the renewal VF-25's or even re-release info. For such popular molds, I honestly though Bandai would milk them a lot more having vested in a brand new mold.... Might be due to the VF-171EX coming out, but still...
