All Things Videogame Related: EXTREME VS!!
Archer replied to Keith's topic in Anime or Science Fiction
Wow, you O.K. man? I got out of the crazy period that is university admissions last year, and I understand what you mean when you say that it is bliss after you get that admissions letter. Hope things work out for the better, and that bliss returns. Also, anyone pick up Ghost Recon Future Soldier? I picked it up today, and it's pretty awesome. I know it's gotten very mixed reviews (generally positive), but if you're a fan of high tech warfare well beyond what was seen in Advanced Warfighter 2, and you like a more tactical or stealth based game more so than the free lance nature of COD, then you'll fall in love with this game. From going transparent while sneaking to lining up sync shots to blasting away hours of fun in guerilla mode with a friend in splitscreen, the game really does have a lot to offer. It's been a while since I've liked a game this much...- 6837 replies

Just saw it. Epic is the least that I can say, and it really paves the way to what should be coming in the next two episodes.

Yeah, good idea, but I'd really really REALLY like to see an options part re-release of both 1/60 original -1J's first, since few few people seem to own them here...

I agree with you as well, being that it is literally just a toy, and showing it to potential customers is definetely a good thing. On the other hand though, I would really feel for those employees if they got reprimanded just cuz someone inconsiderately took a picture. I really do feel that Yamato does these silly no pics rules just to drive up anticipation and "mysteriousness" surrounding the toy to drive up demand....

^Very considerate. We need more people like you in the collecting biz Jasonc, and not those scalpers who order order multiples or cases just to sell em off at super high prices later on for their own profit. But this being Yamato, I doubt it'd come down to that, even with an exclusive tag.

I like how Bandai just kind of dropped off the map with Yamato striking down with all their new products. Honestly though, after so much Bandai drama these past few months, it feels so refreshing seeing products I know I will be able to purchase without draining myself of sleep on online webstores....

Do you think there is anyway I can move my downloaded stuff from my 4 GB to a larger memory card? I'd rather not have to switch out memory cards just for different stuff...- 6837 replies

I'm a Vita n00b since I've barely used mine since getting it. Approximately how much space does a downloaded game take up on a memory card? I only have a 4 GB memory card, and I won't be in the country when MGS HD collection drops, so i want to decide if I should download it directly or wait to come back to the U.S. to buy a physical copy. Also, can the Vita play PS1 games downloaded directly to the system? Thanks!- 6837 replies

I've heard people are saying October for an Australian release, and a likely similar time frame for U.S. as well. So we most likely won't be seeing it till early Autumn I suspect...- 16946 replies

I understand the DYRL VF-1s Hikaru, but I still find it slightly amusing/rediculous that the next reissue Yamato chooses right after the TV Vf-1s is the DYRL VF-1s skull version. *sigh* I'm looking forward to the slightly more difficult to obtain versions (Elint, Ostrich, Max/Milia, etc.) being reissued as well. The fact that DYRL is getting reissue love makes me hopeful though...

Dear God, it looks like a VOTOMs. I wonder how much it will cost, as well as how refined the final product will be. The fact that they are making this available for public purchase raises my eye a little, especially since it looks like it has mini weapons attached and uses property of other companies such as Microsoft and Apple. Either way, it is rediculously cool, and is putting us all a step closer to our dreams of piloting a real robot. Also, looks like the gov. will need to install new vehicle regulations regarding robots as well

And.........the sale has ended. I hope that we see more stuff in the next one, as well as a much better dollar to yen rate. I remember my first Macross purchase was a VF-1A max super set for 10,000 yen during one of those sales, and I only paid around $110 or so for it.....miss those days

Haha, I knew that they wouldn't be able to finish it in only 6 episodes. Eagerly waiting for episode 5 though...

I think that tab is used to connect the leg to the dorsal section of the plane in fighter mode. Anyways, that really sucks dude. I remember getting my first VF-1 (and my first macross toy ever) and having the back hinge joint break on my second transformation. I was not a happy camper either....

Saw it yesterday. Had to go for the second showing since tickets sold out for the first IMAX showing right in between our group (meaning some of my friends would have to wait for the next show). Surprising, as we showed up nearly an hour before the movie start time. Great movie all around, though not as epic as Dark Knight or something similar (though I doubt it was trying to be). I really think that Hulk and witty one-liners really made the move though

What Current Anime Are You Watching Version v4.0
Archer replied to wolfx's topic in Anime or Science Fiction
I'm a little late, but I just started watching "Eden of the East". Such a refined and smooth story, with awesome animation, that I had to hold myself back from finishing the whole 11 episode span in a single night. Although a short series with only 11 episodes and 2 follow-up movies, really really captivating. -
