  1. Am I really the only guy hear who is head over heels for titles like Killzone and InFamous? Haha, don't see those titles getting much love. I for one am very excited for the PS4, and I tend to be an early adopter regardless. Being at a Uni means unlimited internet, but I can see why people would get upset about streaming that. At the same time, you could just keep your old consoles like I did! Also, I'm pretty glad they're adding remote play to the vita, will open up the vita to a lot more functionality.
  2. Awww, come on guys, it's all for the sake of progression Besides, this is a great excuse for all of us to upgrade our data packages! /sarcasm
  3. I LOVED infamous, so that in and of itself was good enough for me. Killzone and Watch Dogs were icing on the cake. I'm pretty meh about the whole "Destiny" thing
  4. Haha, I was a little dissappointed that they didn't show us the actual hardware, but Diablo III, infamous, Watch Dogs, and Killzone (I'm a big killzone fan) sealed the deal for me. I'm not very used to PC gaming, since I prefer consoles, so the graphics were a huge step up for me as well. I'll be waiting in line for this one for sure! I can understand though, Square Enix blowing us off as they did, and a bunch of silly tech demos with little relevant information was a little annoying to say the least...
  5. PS4 looks fairly solid so far! Also, at kill zone shadowfall!
  6. I didn't get a voucher either, and I've bought soooo much sony stuff, both physical and online content. Darn, probably need to be some super pro to have gotten one of those! Also, 45 minutes to PS4
  7. Sorry for the double post, but have you guys seen these yet: It's pretty amazing how close to the actual audio file the live performance gets, and in some ways, I feel like the live performances are even better!
  8. Haha, sorry if I made you guys feel older! I thought most of you by now already figured out that I was pretty young. I signed up for this forum when I was still in High School! Also, I was pretty sure that there was another "kid" on this forum as well (SchizophrenicMC, or something of the sorts) who was about my age as well (albeit, I haven't seen in on this forum for a while). As for Crysis 3, I heard it got fairly mediocre reviews, and I wasn't too big a fan of Crysis 2, so I think I'll stay away for now
  9. Sooo, PS4 in two days (as per rumors). Any thoughts? I've grown up on playstation (never really had any nintendo stuff besides a wii, nor microsoft stuff besides a recent 360 purchase), and it feels like its grown up right beside me. The PS1 came out the year I was born, and I had one by the time I was starting kindergarten! I (parents) purchased the PS2 on launch day when I was in 2nd grade, and it careened me to my middle school years, exposing me to the wonders of Jak and Daxter, Rachet and Clank, gran turismo, spyro, kingdom hearts, final fantasy (well, this started with the PS1 for me ), and tons of other games that I still remember to this day. The year I started middle school, the playstation 3 launched, and I once again purchased it on launch day. It's been with me the past 7 years, and I've accumulated dozens of games and lots of game time. Furthermore, it has yet to fail me with the yellow light of death (knock on wood). In the midst of all that, I bought a PSP and a Vita, the vita on launch day at that. My experience with playstation prompted me to purchase a Sony Bravia, and tons of other stuff I probably don't need. Needless to say, much of my life has been defined by Sony, and definitely by playstation. Now, in college, the playstation 4 is likely upon us. I hope it's as good as I want it to be, bringing console gaming up at least to par with PC gaming. Anybody else grow up with strong ties to playstation?
  10. lol I'm SOOOO hyped for this, can't wait. It's been like this ever since the first episode (which is still the best episode so far in my opinion). I've read the novels, so I'm hoping this episode can expand, and maybe even go in a different direction, as I did not like the novel ending whatsoever! Also, that song by Aimer is amazing, really looking forward to hearing the whole thing!
  11. Yeah, that was my biggest concern. I could get a metal composite zeta plus for around 150, or the rezel for around 100 USD, so it was a no brainer at that point. Sad, since I really do enjoy the Rezel design. But hey, I like all the Zeta series!
  12. Also, does anyone have pics/thoughts about the fix figuration next rezel? Been meaning to pick one up, but is it worth the hundred bucks or so that they are charging now for it? Thanks!
  13. I recall something along the same lines. I really hope he's doing ok, as he had some awesome model work!
  14. But...but...I really do want my YF-19 v.3!
  15. This thread has become crazy. We have went from "PANIC BUTTON OMGZ" to "you elitist " to "I'm NOT elitist " back to "Well, what I meant to say is, you're actually *elitist* " to "It's my money, I'll do what I want! " to *random pertinent information that quickly becomes buried in flame war* to "awwww...I'm so sorry, I only meant that you were elitist from *this* angle" to "hey, it's fine, it's all good " to "Down with G Gundam!" to "I LOVE G Gundam and stereotype derived Gundam" to "Wow, Macross 7 had content that promoted neural activity in more than 3 brain cells?" to "It's a deep deep statement on the status of mankind" to "Wow, why do women buy so much irrelevant stuff" to "Kids these days...." If tl;dr, the following: PANIC!!! -> Elitism debate with fiery passion --> diluted elitism debate with comedy --> angst --> Save tells us something relevant --> kinder elitism debate --> G Gundam is the bane of the universe --> Macross 7 is the bane of everything --> Women buy expensive clothing --> Kids and a psychoanalysis of their morphological and social being Lez get back to Yamato por favor
  16. Shining Gundam is, by far, the greatest thing to happen to Gundam since.....well Gundam And hey, Windmill Gundam is at least bioefficient! OT: Let's stalk talking about random tangential arguments about elitism, and let's get back to the topic at hand. I want to know what's next from Yamato/Arcadia/USS Enterprise/SDF-1, regardless of what their name is!
  17. I kind of started to lose track of everything by the end of it. Kio just flying through different gundams/equipment like nobody's business, random brand new Supah bad characters, interjected story arks and characters that seem out of place at best. Honestly, Flit's story (gen1) seemed somewhat coherent, Asemu's days were alright, but when you throw Kio into the mix, and like 95 other intermittent characters from the past three generations, and their own dilemmas, things just got way too crazy, and really awkward. To be brutally honest, this wasn't just a really really bad gundam series, it was just a really bad series *period*. I'd never have wasted this much time watching a series had it not held the Gundam Title, and even then, I was getting weary of it by the end. I've at least enjoyed some parts of every gundam series I've watched till this.
  18. It's nice that they give us these first few minutes of the episode before hand, if anything, to hype us up. This preview alone probably has the most suspenseful ending!
  19. Guys, let's be honest here. You can, in no way, shape, or form, can you be called "elitist" if you like to blow tons of cash on plastic toys Us at Macrossworld: Guy 1: Dude, I just bought like 45x VF-1 cannon fodder from yamato so I can make this awesome massive army squadron thing Guy 2: WOW! You spent that much money on Macross? Way to be elitist by showing off all your awesome stuff Translation to the real world: Guy 1: Wow, I just bought 45 VF-1 cannon fodders from Yamato! Society: You just spent 4500 dollars on japanese plastic toys derived from an animated cartoon from the 80s .....*condescending judgmental glare* _______________ The moral of that was that a toy collector cannot be elitist, as he is not purchasing ferraris
  20. Lol, I might buy like 1 Macross fig every 5 or 6 months to be honest. But it's very exciting when I actually do get one, so I tend to enjoy them to the fullest. Honestly speaking, Bandai releases are almost in the same price margins, and when you add in the Nippon Yassan inflation (see what I did there ), it ends up being about the same in terms of cost. But yeah, except for a few here that devote a lot of their monetary earnings to Macross, I think the stark majority of people here are more like me, a few limited purchases over the course of a year. Heck, a lot of us, including me, here are poor college students (look at location ), so we kinda have to keep things to minimum so we can afford to go to college I think I know what you are trying to say slaginpit (i.e. Yamato stuff is expensive), but they do make nice things that I can enjoy from time to time, even though I'm not in a financial position to be spending the majority of my free cash on toys.
  21. Shamless Plug: I'm selling the GFFMC unicorn. Found out my dorm room lights cause yellowing on white plastic (from some other figs), so the unicorn is bound to follow. Got some very fair trade options, many at a loss in terms of value, but i'd rather not see this fig go to waste in my closet. If you're in the market, check it out in the for sale thread.
  22. Lol, I don't even care about panel lines at this point, I just want to make sure I'll be able to put it together in the first place And as for the LEDs being molded into the parts, that's nice, but the "tooless" assembly is a bold claim when wiring clearly requires tools...
  23. So, the YF-30 is cool and all (as I have said previously), but does it have the same transformation sequence as the 24/25/27/29? If so, t'is getting old
  24. So, I didn't know that missile rack thing was built into the fighter itself, I thought it was optional super parts. Well, this just makes everything even more cool now
