Super Macross Mecha Fun Time Discussion Thread!
slide replied to Valkyrie Driver's topic in Movies and TV Series
What skeletons did Ray know the location of [he was Special Forces, wasn't he?] to warrant that kind of pull: to own his own VF-19 [which is armed as pointed out by @pengbuzz and @twich] which he then heavily customized and gifted to Basara [some random insane/natural-born-pilot civilian], have it maintained by NUNS maintenance personnel, and have an unregistered ship glommed-on to a NUNS city-ship [I'm assuming that was Ray's doing, as his band seems to be the only inhabitants, and no other explanation has been offered]... -
to be serious though: We don't know the state of their license agreement with BW It's 2020, and everything is taking longer than everyone would like We don't know what [if any] key people related to this segment of their business may be ill/done for because of "the Coof" We don't know what future plans they have in the works, and as above: how they've been disrupted ... between this and the HMR thread, which are mostly legit complaints to be sure, I'm starting to feel like we just need to chill and have a little faith, baby.

The least they could do for us is fix the leg/engine droop on the 1/72 VF-1 mold... which should be REALLY EASY/CHEAP to accomplish [compared to making a whole new VF like the VF-17 or something], since they only have to modify the "Q" sprue:

and if he hit me he'd immediately go into an emotional tail-spin worth the risks in my book Shake my molecules!! -
I'll bite.., a black VF-19 with missiles and fast packs? and a shark-mouth? I'll add one [at least] to "mount sprue" not even a re-pop for mold-milking in 1/48... I'd REALLY like a 1/48 YF-21 to go with the '19....

Now THAT is what I would expect to see for "dirty" on a fighter that also goes rolling around in the dirt like a foot-slogging grunt! She looks filthy, and I love it!

I wonder if any other forms of collectables will suffer the crash that sports cards did in the 90's...

The only way for the scalpers to be shuttered is by eliminating the whole idea of limited product runs, thereby rendering any attempt at selling one over MSRP ridiculous. That's likely too big an ask, sadly.
