  1. that was highly entertaining, thanks for that!!
  2. well, for a while there it didn't look like we were going to get any Gerwalks out of Hase... then it happened... I'm just unsure if a new Battroid would be profitable enough [I see WAY more fighter-modes and gerwalks in collections than Hase Battroid models], and with Bandai making fully-transformable kits... the probability is low methinks.
  3. any version of the 17/171 will be fine...
  4. how would one PF the VF-19 Kai? Ugly little "do THIS, don't do THAT" stencils all over Basara's bird? that ain't Rock-n'-Roll...
  5. Hasegawa does fine, the only trifecta is the VF-1 for them.
  6. if we're talking 1/32 then I'd like to see Tamiya try it... I'd love to be able to pose all the flight surfaces or strip/open all the panels. Transformation in that scale would of course mitigate any loss of extra internal engine detail etc
  7. Happens kinda easily on the '51 pod/tanks...
  8. I see... not too different from mine... it's not that I'm unimpressed, it's jut more than I was hoping for. This is mine [actually I'm pretty impressed with how these turned out using my phone-camera...]: Thanks for sharing Rock!
  9. is that the Platz 1/72 resin one? My Cockpit module has bubbles in it... hows yours?
  10. because of the detrimental 'spoiler' effect they may induce to the '15's aerodynamic profile, I would assume, but I'm not an aero-scientist, there must be a reason that nobody does it...
  11. I was so shocked to see a full-build video of one I just had to share the Macross love.
  12. LOL, yea... He states specifically that it's a "what-if Jolly Rogers" scheme... but it's an awesome Roy custom either way!
  13. Hi-Metal R

HLJ has VF-1J Hikarus back in stock? or have I been overlooking them for some time?
  15. Drooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooool
  16. Testing/Eval as far as official roles.
  17. I'll take another moonshooters, but if the VF-0B is coming, then VF-0C soon....
  18. to bring back the Tomcat?? or for low-speed, high-alpha, hands-off launches and mud-moving? I chide, but the Rhino is simply not as cool as the Tomcat... she looks like a single-seater too!
  19. pitch is the upward or downward motion of the nose of the aircraft, controlled [traditionally] by the elevators on the Horizontal stabilisers. Yaw is the left/right motion of the nose, as controlled by the rudder on the vertical stabiliser [vertical tail fin]. roll is one wing going up in opposition to one going down, as controlled by the ailerons on the wingtips. Angle of attack [aka: aoa, alpha] is the difference between the pitch angle of the nose relative to the actual direction of flight [vector] One's angle of descent is part of the "Glide-Slope", which is the optimal path for a plane to fly down to a landing. Camber: if you were talking about it in fighter mode, the word would be anhedral for wings that droop [modern fighters] and dihedral for wings that are higher at the wingtip than the wingroot [WW2 fighters like the Spitfire and Bf-109]... but lacking a better standardised nomenclature for wing-angle in Gerwalk mode, camber does translate nicely between "Gearheads" and "Propellerheads".
  20. ... that all made a depressing amount of sense...
  21. I thought the no-helmet-bit was an affect of being technologically enhanced [Brera could override/integrate his senses to make it seem, to him, like he wasn't wearing a helmet], and that the '27 also had a better holo-upgrade/enhancement-interface version of the 19's immersive cockpit screens [which is why Ranka could see out like Brera could... I may be misremembering, fine excuse for a Re-watch!!]. But.... That leads to the following obvious question: how then would the '262 pilot be jacked into such a system? no mention as I recall was made of them enhancing their pilots with tech... so the next obvious question is: how does a holographic projector not only turn a helmet invisible, but remove it entirely, at least in the pilot's peripheral senses [hair waving about]?
  22. meanwhile in their head they're hearing Fanfare for the Common Man

    Bandai DX VF-31

'31C also has the best head-unit in fighter mode [Chuck's is 2nd imo] painting it red in Battroid reminds me of Eva unit 02... and I'm loving it!
