wtf. from announcement til now has been how long? sold out everywhere already? even nippon yassan (the superstar of the vf-171 episode of lets find the f-ing bandai valk)?! i actually wanted this one too. not just for how cool the battroid was but actually wanted to say "yes macross i've enjoyed this franchise for 30 years!". ok i'm ranting now but its deserved.

wow i'm not a huge yf-29 fan (the battroid of the alto din't do it fo rme, i actually sold mine to a friend), but this thing looks GODLY in battroid (whereas teh alto looked better in fighter mode). Roy Focker colors! "Hheros never die I Roy Focker can never be conquered!" Ok i made that up and partially quoted a different franchise. lol. Wish it had the skull and crossbones on teh the tailfins though!

thnx for the info. also is it thick enough that it will effect joints/movement like a coat of regular paint or does it go on thinner so you can just "go to town" spraying everything? lastly, does it effect the tactile feel? i wouldn't want the valk to feel tacky/sticky or crusty. thanks in advance. -

What did u use for clear? Looks good. I'd like to give my totally matte yammies a little semigloss myself but don't want to end up with something as glossy as say a bandai dx chogokin Mac f valk. -

yeah i remember thinking it was cheap and that i should pick it up...went back today..its like $56 USD....i would not think that was cheap. lol. man...hopefully the sale will come around again and there will still be ghosts around.

i just put an order in with nippon yassan. wonder if i'll get one. i've given up on teh possiblity of the ishop2go one...an dmy local shop hasn't contacted me yet either. :-( interestingly enough ishop2go has not sent me a cancellatin email or refund. oh and this time, i stupidly also ordered the weapons parts fot eh 171 on teh same order...didn't think it through so ended up prepaying for those too. should have split the order...oh well. hopefully i can at least split the shipping.

OK when are THESE parts coming out? This is totallly how i rememer teh 171 from the show....all armored up with anti vajra gear or whatever. WANT WANT WANT. assuming tamashi web exclusive again?

ugh i have a vf-171 preorder and feel like i'm gonna get boned by this too. i am glad i preordered elsewhere as well though. not going to be happy about losing paypal fees and any exchange rate differences.

hmm, i have a VF-171 on order(preorder with prepayment) with ishop2go. wonder if the same fate will befall me upon that release. luckily (as it seems like it may), i also preordered at a local shop.

WOW, I'd buy that in a heartbeat. That looks like a real world F-14 style color scheme that roy's is inspired by.

looks much better in this picture, still darker than the original proto images but i like it alot, maybe better even. too bad its delayed to June.

not a bad color i guess. would have to wait until i saw the actual green they picked. i really really want to see some more non cannon stealth, or low viz type schemes (like the old 1/48s or something brand new in that vein), maybe even a digital camo scheme would be cool. -
i think i read somewhere that maiden japan is no longer at toynami? correct me if i'm wrong.

that looks way way way darker than the original pics. i mean it doesn't look bad, but even taking into account the dim lighting this is way darker. hopefully the final product will br half way between this and the original. can anyone read or translate what is said about this picture on yamato's site? is this the final color (hoping not)?

Wait whats the difference with the DYRL CF vs. TV? is the head slightly different? Is that the only difference? Also do i see a backpack hook on teh Vf-1S hikaru (ala a 1/48 design?). -
so tempting....i don't collect the DYRL valks but have 2 of them, if i got a max and kakizaki i'd have one of each character in the movie (but i'd be missing the VF-1S max andteh VF-1A hikaru). Might be tempted to 'troop build" the TV mass production VF-1A

oh yeah....tracking says they have been delivered (this morning) and my doorman signed for it....time for alto to get his super armor! woot! mine was ordered form tokyohunter FWIW.
