  1. hmmm a tetrajet conversion kit for masterpiece seekers? Granted its not macross, I'd be interested in seeing where that goes....i'm a huge TF fan too.
  2. gosh i hope they still make transforming VF toys!! Since getting back into this in 2008 (previously i only had a couple /148s) with the 1/60 V2 ...i have fallen back in love with macross all over again (well except for macross 7 since i never liked that very much though some of the mechs are cool). lets keep this party going!!!
  3. nice! can you do me a favor and get and measure the dimensions on those two? i could use some detolf toppers too. :-) thanks in advance! oh nevermind i see the measurements ont eh box in cm.
  4. EXO do you have a link to the one that eliminates the hinge? and also the "tight" version?

    Macross figures

I'm not really a figure collector but that's really cool! Anywhere where the preorder can still be had or should I just wait for release and hope ny carries it then? The two linked places are sold out. ( big in Japan and hlj. )

    Vf-0 vs SV-51

sounds like a hint to me BUT...IMO the SV-51 is way more in need of redesign than the vf-0. i think the 0s and 0a are actually pretty decent toys. clearly not up to VF-1 V2 standards but way superior to the floppy mess of the SV-51 (whose design i love). i have the nora and its way floppy....heard ivanov was even worse....so i question why yo usay get the sv-51....does that mean an V2 isn't coming for that? that would be a bummer.
  8. man this issue is so confusing to me. I don't have the chemistry background to understand it. Has anyone tried "natural rubber"? i know most erasers these days are made of pvc though much like some synthetic rubber...wonder if that is the issue. i also wonder if something like this http://www.ventingpipe.com/hy-c-se-1-100-natural-rubber-soot-eraser/p1512729?source=gg-gba-pla_1512729____20457938222&s_kwcid=PTC!pla!!!39887886662!g!!20457938222&cagpspn=pla&gclid=CI7YvsL7krUCFQ-e4AodBhAAbw cut int the right shape would work.
  9. nice pictures. i think kicker spend the equivalent of my take home income on macross toys....and i do do quite ok for myself!!!. lol. just amazing to see.
  10. BEYOND JEALOUS! there are no other words! best SDF-1 i've ever seen bar none!! V1 isn't all bad. i liked it enough to buy 3 versions of that mold. btw you still looking for a V1 ozma? i have the heavy armored giftset version that i haven't displayed in a year or so, if you are interested in that. PM me if so.
  11. holy crap. i bought one of those a few years back. I think it was mabye $50-80 at the time? I don't remember. Ebay only has one seller right now selling it for.....*gulp* $344?!?!?!?
  12. YES! its been 5 years now (almost?) since Frontier began so its time for another series, although if it follows the pattern to date, it'll be a short series/OVA vs. a full on 25+ episodes long series. That and I'd love a 1/60 Glaug and 1/60 battlepods in pre assembled form, though I'd take the former in kit format. Also, a third version of the YF-19 would be nice (never liked the first couple enough to get one). VF-0 Reactive Armor would also be really cool. Oh and reissues to pad yamato's budget. haha. also a renewal compatible super pack for VF-25G, or Tornado....heck both!
  13. ahh didn't notice that. at least i can console myself that i got the best price at the time i made the order. :-)
  14. woot woot! preordered on NY for 182 plus shipping...yeah so you guys did it overnight b/c you're hard core. haha. so glad to not be paying $270 each for these! **edit** oh and "reaction missiles" are nukes.....nuclear brings up bad memories for japan so yeah..we have "reaction weaponry" probably named for the nuclear reactions that occur when used. a little too thinly veiled probably unless you have no idea how nukes work. and DAMMIT and I didn't think of anime export!!!! totally just preordered at NY when i saw it was available for fear it'd be gone soon! gah!! should have come here first!! There goes $25/each down the toilet (unless NY is cheaper shipping wise).
  15. Seriously, yet again huh? I'm pretty sure I can get one of these at a local place but it'll probably be like $270 plus tax. ugh!! Maybe NY will get some stock in a or after launch. Doubt HLJ will be able to get it. i have a feeling it won't be too hard to find in japan or anywhere in asia where bandai sells stuff....pretty much like every bandai macross F release recently.
  16. how did i miss that this thread existed?! haha. this thing is beautiful and it will be mine! the fighter mode may be one of my favorites from this generation of macross valks (yf-24 to vf-30). With yamato all but perfecting the vf-1 in 2008/9 to these bandai frontier valks we are in a golden age of macross. Lets keep the parade going and hope we do get a new macross series soon though. the frontier aesthetic (no matter how it is tweaked ) has been around for 5 years. bandai's hand in the design detailing of these valks is evident as they are very "gundamy".
  17. i realize there is a distinct blue tint to them but the toy pictures look REALLY REALLY blue...not a blue tinted grey like i think its supposed to be but a indeed a deep blue with nary a hint of grey at all . if you think the pictures from the mecha manual looks to be the same color as in the following link? http://gamu-toys.info/goukin/gouki/dx26/dx2601.html# i would say your monitor needs calibration or your eyes need checking. no offense intended.
  18. omg that is beautiful. i want like 3 of them. haha
  19. is it the photos or is that A LOT bluer and a lot less grey than it was supposed to be!?!!? no bueno! i have a set coming to me form NY...not sure if i like it in this color!?!?
  20. cool exo...looking forward to pics
  21. wow i'm really glad i ordered those immediately on first release...now i think if i i never opened them i could sell them for what is that like $600 each? haha
  22. Wait so ~$100 shipped? thats still a great price! if you mean $100 plus 5000 yen....i'd rather just buy from bbts.
  23. wow you're fast EXO. haha. let me know how it works out! i'll probably order some asap if they do work out fine.
  24. Exo I was able to order some of these and give it a try. A few first impressions. 1. The Strong white flexible material from shapeways seems to be very powdery. The white powder flakes off and that will effect the tightness/looseness. 2. I think it could be a tiny bit tighter on there. 3. That hinged joint (and keep in mind I've only built one of the action bases so far) is pretty weak. I can really only have it in a couple different positions before it wants to fold over. I'm not sure how you managed all the dynamic poses on the previous page (although i see that is a different design but theoretically the new ones should cause less moment/torque on that joint). 4. Its pretty cool to see the valk flying that high above the desk ( i bought the clear stands and can stretch out the main arm of the action base pretty far). 5. AND THIS IS THE BIG ONE - Do you think it makes sense to design a few different fixed angle "collar" type things to put over the hinged joint (bracing it from the outside) so it doesn't want to fold over. To be honest my super packed Vf-1J (Sorry millia!) tumbled onto my desk a few times while i was trying to see what could work and what wouldn't. OR, do you think its a good idea to design an adapter that removes the screw hinged joint altogether? Granted this second option would limiit the stand to one angle only. What are your thoughts EXO? Anyone else have different impressions they'd like to share?
