  1. yeah the feet don't make sense at all. they are like elephant feet. elephants use all 4 feet, same as the brontosauraus did (well a bracchiasauarus really)...i can't hink of anything that has 2 feet, stands upright that has feet that doen't extend forward somewhat. its unnatural looking. he'd topple over forwards.
  2. i'm so jealous of the ingram and the galient....those pieces fetch redonk amounts on ebay too. lol. even the blue ingram which earlier ths year could be had for $250 is WAY higher now.
  3. that is beautiful...sort of star wars through the lens of japanimation (do people still use that or is it just "anime" now)? reminds me of that iron man sie fo the technowhatever...totally diffren style that is jarring at first but not bad (although i hated the story it was beautiful to look at) i would totally be on board with an OVA or series in that style. heck there is even a macross missile masacre moment in it! how could i dislike that? only thing is i expect a valkyrie to show up at any moment. lol
  4. i think an sdfm hikaru 1j will be hard to track down, not because few were made but because it is a fan favorite for those that prefer sdfm over dyrl and those that bought it keep it. i have one bare and one in the gbp armor and both i consider to be indispensable or else i'd sell ya one. in fact, if it is reissued by arcadia i'll likely pick up at least one more, probably two.
  5. seriously? i'm curious as to why? decided that you are no longer a completionist or this one just doesn' t do it for you?
  6. yeah i'm not into the idw mtmte stuff so the knee design isn't fo rme. i also figured the double jointed knee looks best (to me) without usign the second joint. it just looks bad t ome tha tway and makes him a bit shorter which i didn't like. i wish they could have just stuck to the g1 whirl/dorvack design adn aesthetic and released a separate mtmte whirl later (tomahawk with the headrobots drone conversion kit looks more mtmte to me that this this does anyway). oh well..not taht it will ever happen but i wish an mp g1 whirl would be made. doubt we'd get one based on the origina ljapanese series (like cm did for roadbuster/mugen caliber) either.
  7. nah, i was never into beast wars stuff.. yeah they are bird style knees...you can turn them around but then he always kinda has a leaned forward look as if skiing (i think skiers wil know what i mean). i'm not THAT opposed to the bird knees because well....gerwalks have them. lol i wish they didn't do it that way though and that the feet were "skis" like the G1.
  8. i think the x plus figures have so much presence but it kills me they are 100% static. i might get one eventually...we'll see.
  9. nice pickup, i caved and ordered him from amazon when it was still $27. he is a good figure just not "great". i think i'm just spoiled by MPs and 3P these days. Also I kinda wish they didn't go for the bird leg design that adheres to the bay aesthetic for flying bots. it does make me miss my old g1 whirl though (which had a superior alt mode).
  10. thats a nice one. i really haven't ever gotten into collecting the godzilla suff. i do have one sh monsterarts one. i'm told its based on the 1994 version. i'm super tempted to get the 1964 baesd on the mosugoji suit and also the 2000 one with the huge ass spikes...but my other collecting wants usually take priority. pretty sure i'll be skipping any merch from this upcoming movie since i odn't like the godzilla design too much. still will see in in theater though because the movie looks great
  11. so will you be sending out PMs asking for the shipping fees when its ready to ship etc?
  12. i think gozilla looked best when he was a rubber suit...the most popular showa era one (the one where he fights mothra) is the best. second i think is the completley over the top godzilla 2000 one with giant spikes. this new one...not a fan of the fat neck tiny feet design but i'll see the movie and pretty pumped for it.
  13. yeah i'm going to pick up the redeco/diaclone magnus colors one supposedly due out in may. If they don't do a G1 toy blue recolor i'll probably pick up the original deco release at some point as well. Stack's proportions while too lean and tall (and absolutely too tall as well) are MUCH MUCH better than MP-22's. I'm still going to get an MP-22 or 2 but I prefer STack's robot mode unless mp-22 changes.
  14. eh those little figures are viewable inside the cockpit. its pretty awesome ( i have the 1D) and thought it was super cool that they included a minmay. that being said a stand is nice too but i'm using my vf-1 stands for the yf-19 because its stable and large and the vf-1 doesn't needs such a behemoth. as far as reissues...despite having max/mirria already, i want a another set...the VT-1 would be my second wish since i don't have one. also some fast packs both dyrl and tv would be nice.
  15. seriously? i have a red beta from around a few months after the release date. going by memory, all the joints are tight as good. nice and clicky etc.
  16. meh i have a feeling this will be SOOO available later one. i'm not worried...thena gain i am seriously reconsidering if i ever like it enough to warrant a purchase.
  17. thanks for the links guys. once again even with international shipping the JP shops are still WAY cheaper than american retailers...and those american retailers actually priced near MSRP (though they quoted that higher too) for once too instead of marking way up.
  18. i thought they were doing a remake before i clicked. classic movie. haven't seen it in 15-20 years or so though. lol
  19. lots of interesting discussion in here. i'm finding out that we all (as fans) seem to view macross and its sequels, prequels etc. with different eyes. we interpret things as we want to it seems, which maybe is part of the genius of it. anyway, my preference right now is for this to take off in an all new direction. as macross ages, so do its creators and fans. we've grown up, we've adapted and the same is true of new fans. Adolescent fans or tweens that were sucked into macross through frontier....they are now grown men attending university for the first time maybe. it's been 6 years. anyway as we change, maybe macross will change to, not in a way that makes it wholly different in terms of abandoning common themes but perhaps in the type of story told or the way its told. While I enjoyed frontier, i'm ready for something all new....to be honest i wouldn't mind if they made an all new timeline/alternate reality and rebooted or told a completely unrelated story. give us something recognizable as macross but shock us with originality. i just want great mecha designs and animation, and a good story that is about humanity. I was never in it much for the music but sure....give it some nice tunes.
  20. if they did a V2, i'd get it...especially if they went for the SDFM version (kurisama did some very nice upgrades btw to convert dyrl to sdfm). give it some more articulation, better balance (it needs heavier legs with the upper body so massive the weight distribution is off), and some nicer detailing. i mean i tin kthe old one still loks pretty good but thye could do better...IF and it sa big if they thought the demand was there to justify the business case. the q-rau is one of my favorite techno organic looking mech designs. i hope it happens but i'm not holding my breath. i mean bandai never even made a dx chogokin for the frontier line Q-Rare (a very similar design) so...
  21. it looks like they wanted to use mp-10 then gave up at the knees. the thighs are very clearly still MP-10 but anything south of that isn't. also where is the translation from that say sits not mp-10? i hope there its wrong, i want a white prime with armor. then again looking at the trailer...MP 10's lower legs woudln't fit under there. i do truly hope ther ei sa bonus feature not beign shown and left a sa suprise...that there is a whit eprime in there...just lsightly different.
