    ah thanks gakken. didn't realize those were buttons with sounds. that is pretty sweet. guess i'll wait for more info...if the vmax is just those highlights on the armor that darring pointed out i think it may not be worth it to wait.

    so....is this the same thing reissued...but with extra parts? coming early 2015. http://www.anime-export.com/product/20526 think i may jump on this instead of tracking the older one down...seems like a better deal because of whatever "vmax" parts are?

    actually that is something people in life or death situations where hydration is key do....recycle their own urine...unfiltered. you can actually do that.

    i do wonder why it is that the exact same design has almost zero issues on alto's version fo the vf-171. i hope luca's will be trouble free as well. FWIW, i have 3 vf-171 CF...they are all still whole, complete and unbroken...but i've never transformed any of them more than putting on the weapons/armor parts on one of them. lol. MW made me afraid to. lol.

    i always wished i had ordered more than one low viz roy. one of my favorites for sure. the more i look at new valks....the more i keep coming back to these classic vf-1 designs too.

    vf-1d. need a second seat for some backseat shenanigans with the minmay the genie is also giving me (oh and she will be less annoying than the sdfm version of her lol).

    is that really a new kit or a custom? i picked up the kotobukiya kit for just under $60...who knows when i will have the time to build it. lol. also preordered the new version sentinel is putting out (anime color version?). love this design and the anime is shaping up to be a must watch too!

    dang, i'd be happy with a 2nd vf-25g...stunning color scheme IMO. did you buy them all up front or find them on auction etc afterwards.

    Transformers wasn't ever really good fiction/show...it was just fun cuz we were kids and loved the robot designs. lol i mean i can stand behind most of S1 and S2 as somewhat watchable due to nostaglia factors but i struggle with season 3 and rodimus emo woah is me prime. it almost pains me that the best animation the S1-2 characters ever saw was their (often death) scenes in the 86 movie, followed by the commercials, and then a few seconds here and there in the cartoon it seemed likd they gave a crap about the animation. (i mean yeah SDFM was much the same way with inconsistency in quality of animation but not nearly as AWFUL when it was bad). i'm trying to watch headmasters right now and only a handful of episodes in i stopped and haven't been back to it in in like a month or two now.

    as much as i hate HG, i woudln't mind seeing the further adventure of Scott. lol. shadow chronicles was kinda...meh, but not that horrible. i'm kinda thinking "knights of sidonia" might be the new "robotech" for thie gneration if it catches on...watchd the first 4 eppies on netflix...not bad. i do wish there were more different mecha though..the mk17 and mk18 look identical. lol

    and this thing was beginning to grow on me too. at first i just ordered it becase..."new valk", then i started to come around. now, it needsa back brace in battroid (i'd have been ok with it in gerwalk because face it that gerwalk mode never looked like it was gonna support itself...though it seems the tradiational gerwalk mode can be achieved wtihout the brace...it is the additiaonl flip down of that bottom piece that allows the waist twist in gerwalk that demands the use of that brace. disappointed to see it seems like it might be necessary for battroid.

    Mine is without issue at all, but i do agree that there were several design choices that i question. That being said, even the "loose hips" on some people's scoria is better than what most are getting with any grimlock made after the 2010 hasbro release (mine is still way tighter than my 2010 tru grimlock FWIW). i don't think this guy will be doin any high kung fun kicks (not for a long time anyway), but again i think this was a design choice...they made ratchets strong enough for most things but if people are expecting th eratchets to hold those heavy legs in any unsupported pose (like high kicks etc.)....its an unrealistic expectation for a figure with diecast in its feet. that said i'm totally happy i have it and mine will hold any pose (my shoulders are good) as long as both feet are on the ground. i know diecast wa s big part of qhy quakewave felt so good in hand but i think they need to reevalate its use and use sparingly if they don't put stronger ratchets in place as 3P customers will expect the world. still far and away the best dinobot toy produced by a wide wide margin.

    what makes you think they are physically different molds? I'm sure they just lend them the mold, factory time etc. difference is who is running 9not just physically but determining everyting about the run that can be determined given one set of tooling) and supervising the production etc.

    lol yeah when onslaught conveniently forgets to wear his dual cannon backpack. lol. you forgot defensor also destroyed bruticus (all but swindle) with one blast in some episode. it all got very silly once the combiners came into the show.

    to be fair that is the source material's fault. the robot mode is pretty much spot on. the alt mode....is fairly close too. skyfire was a flying space clunky brick that the animators must have come up with at the last second. thanks harmony gold! if they had let hasbro use the animation model in the toy's commercial...skyfire would never had existed and we'd be talking jetfire. haha
