so being that we are speculating on A based on what the big B has announced.....isn't it curious bandai is making a 1/35 vf-1 in their chogokin line but all the other dx chogokin are very close to 1/60? i would guess that arcadia paid out the butt to keep their bread and butter money printer (vf-1 mold reissues)....sdfm and or dyrl licenese in 1/60 scale. maybe that is hope, or maybe its a logical guess based on what brand B has announced.

yeah one of my favorites too. i prefer it to ANY dyrl valk (even yes the strike valkyrie).

yeah i agree on that last bit. magnus isn't what he should be. this tracks looks pretty good but there are a number of things i don't like as well. i can't comment on star saber since i don't have it and was never a fan of the jp only series. not a fan of the upcoming ironhide either. -
its because torso looks long because it seems they prioritize teh fighter mode. also they don't slid ethe nosecone up like 1/60 v2 to balance that. the sliding nosecone feature does give the "priest collar" look as jenius calls it but i think thats acceptable as it looks better/more humanoid anyway. the 1/48 yamato had the same issue. in fact this new 1/35 looks more like the old 1/48 than it does the newer hi metal line or 1/72 kits in terms of proportions. IMO it looks great.

i reboxed mine recently due o a move....are you sure your shoulders are transformed correctly? yes....it needs to rotate 180° fro mode to mode.

oh i am totally getting this. i'd sell every non screen frontier valk to pay for it to if i had to. i REALLY hope it transforms but if not i might still be interested. looks great so far. lets hope they continue to refine. the sketches behind it are a total fail to show with this piece if i doesn't transform though. haha

i understand the sentiment to abandon 1/60...believe me. i just moved and toys were like 70% of my boxes. lol. I don't think i can turnmy back on the dozens of vf-1 and other valks i have. i might start selling the lesser loved and in many cases unopened ones though.

i think i'm in love with the hi metal line now. regult variants, more vf-1,...vf-0a, vf-4, vf-2ss, and MF-ing britai?!!?! they are seriously pushing for the 1/100 scale to be the one collectors abandon 1/60s for it seems. afterall...japanese homes are usually small and everyone more or less has limited budget so i guess 1/100 makes a lot of sense. bandai is going to make me so broke it seems though with all these releasse (hello giant vf-1 and gian sdf-1!)

with all the announcements from bandai....i kind of wonder if arcadia has been tossed to the side by BW. then again there is no overlap. the closest there is is the vf-19 and yf-19 in similar scales. i really hope we get to see at least 2 or more companies doing macross perfect transformation valks...i mean i like bandai DX's but arcadia's stuff just seems more adult collector refined overall...so i'd hate to see that go away.

after looking at the pictures....its a nice fighter mode (like most frontier valks had), but the battroid mode only looks good from straight on....where you can't see they just bend the wing area back 90 degrees just like the frontier valk era designs....i'm disappointed. its just a gussied up frontierM30 era valk IMO.

so if this is variable, i'm gonna get it and its going to be the centerpiece of my display. the listing reported somewhere said "battroid" though so i'm....not going to get my hopes up yet. and no...as big as a vf-1 fan as i am i am not going to recollect dozens of valks in this size. also...please bandai stop using those crappy self loosening ball joints in your designs.. at 40cm size....that will suck doubly... kthnx bye

man i take a couple days to do real life stuff and all these new things are announced....So, i'm not in love with the deco but super happy to see a new general shape/aesthetic to valks. even the vf-31 looks "frontier derivative" to me. bring this on..hopefully there will be canon fodder variants or something.

proportions are way off in the storm attacker mode but this is the first transforming TV (SDFM) SDF-1 since the takatoku/matchbox one right? i wish they'd go ahead and make it big though...l/3000 lol. i do think that if this doesn't get yamat....i mean arcadia off its ass and do one....nothing will. anyway i'm paying attention now and will likey hop on if it isn't horrible.

funny on the 1J they use the chunky monkey inspired chest stripe shape and on the 1S (both hikaru and focker) they are using the correct chest stripe shape. also call me crazy but i like the greyish color they are using too. looks kinda retro and i mean they are in deep space so its gona look darkish...also i'm always reminded of this artwork when i see darker than white slightly grey valks

well the price is right especially if shops do the normal preorder discount. now i have to get around the fact that i don't lik eht battroid mode. lol. the fighter mode is so nice though.

virgin road is a 1-d....a 2 seater. so not just the head different with the 1j.

i have a set of those...i think they are slightly too similar to the dyrl ones in color. just my opinion or eyes maybe.

hmmm, i'm pretty sure the vf-1 arcadia reissues (not the 1j clown deco one) sold out fairly quickly. they are going for quite premium in the after market it seems too. i am regretting selling my fast pack sets though as i thought arcadia would have reissued them by now (the reason i sold them). if arcadia does reissue though i will be super happy. they should do both tv and sdfm versions. they should throw in a strike cannon with the tv version too even if its not canon. also i think the coloring should be slightly different for the tv vs dyrl.
