    so iconic....like a burning memory from early childhood this design evokes so much memory. probably the first japanimation i watched (before i knew it was even japanese). love this deisgn. hope evolution toys doesn't screw it up. lol. whats cooler than ninjas? science ninjas...in space with cool ships.

    TE's blows takara's out of the water so far. takara i think fell in love with their evasion prime too much...note on alt mode the piece between the two main halves..in this picture from tfw2005. It doesn't line up right in that photo (it didn't in evasion prime either) and it won't in production...am i being pessimistic? maybe....but its just a bad design. also the hinges on the corners are way too obvious! again, another bad design that will not be fixed by tolerances getting better. i will likely get the takara becuase i can't imagine not owning the latest mp op but i'll get one of these others too (probably the TE at this point unless something changes) . TE's has the "feeling" of the cartoon character even more than takara's. i guess we'll see if takara's presumed advanced articulation can save it, because TE's alt mode is also way better. right now TE's bot mode is a tiny tiny bit knockkneed (look closesly at the static pose), but the posed picture shows its not a problem at all. if i was takara i'd be embarrassed.

    ugh...if they do that i hope they do a "toy" + version with chrome bumper and thighs and a nice deep blue lower legs. that would of course have yellow eyes too. personally i'd love that toy version but i'd want one thats roughly mp-10 deco too.

    despite being a big legioss fan i coudln't pull the trigger on the Eta based on the high price and issues people seemed to have...i think it eventually sold out anyway. If they fixed things on the Zeta that would make it tempting. Any indication in their release history that evolution ever fixes things between releases of different versions/decos?

    so bandai is doing an iron man mk 50....and a mk50 nano weapons version? really annoying they aren't just add on parts or better yet all in the first version. are they going to do a cap with wakandan shields too? the thos raganork figure has a non removeable helmet. why? at least the upcoming infnity war version looks good. this is a line i truly love and hate. yes i realize i buy $100+ valkyries where the only difference is the head and deco etc.

    FWIW i did hear or read somewhere mmc's will have face colored plastic above his eyes and below the helmet line. that being said...toro just evokes the feel of g1 cliffjumper to me more...especially the spoiler on this chest right under his chin. mmc's looks....updated in a way. the "feel" is off to me but not that far and its still nice, just not "my" cliffjumper. I cannot through it "meet myself from the past, in which I can find a toy i have been dreaming of" whereas with toro i think i could.

    arcadia is definitely working on on SV-51 as of some time ago, lets hope they show what they have soon. i loved yamato's version but it could have been better and needs an update IMO. also i think yamarcadia fans have been wanting a shoulder problem free VT-1 Super ostrich! we haven't gotten that yet in a non cracking shoulder treatment under yamato or arcadia and with the HMR release imminent later this year wouldn't it be good for arcadia to show their 10 year old mold is still sort of better than the HMR? as for mac plus stuff i'm ton sure we'll see anything as zero and dyrl seem to be getting all the arcadia love so far. also i do wonder how their pricing strategy (price high limit production to a decent but not laarge amount over PO wty) is working out? i miss when plane jane no fast packs V2 VF-1 valks were like 85 bucks personally (and fast packs could be had for 35 bucks). i don't know that i'd buy an SV-51 if it were priced higher than the Vf-0S (which i struggled to justify).

    for real world cars, i'm the other way - slight sacrifices in bot mode for a cleaner alt mode....granted THERE ARE LIMITS when you can go too far. I think my preference comes from teh original G1 toys whose alt modes while not super accurate were at least fairly clean. like i love downbeat (and hate it too lol) but the stripe below the sidesill near the rear fender kill the alt mode for me...like i don't think i'll ever have it in alt mode again. the sloppy rear/bottom i can rationalize it as as some kind of shitty looking rear "diffuser" or some such thing. if they lef the stripes off that section or made it dark..the alt mode would be "OK". its too bad takara never put out an mp jazz/meister...although no guarantee they will get it right either. also TnR HoVa never materialized either...i can't get past the shins that got turned into ankles (actually not too far off from g1 toy but cmon we need to do better now!) and the flap behind the head on coolsville.jazzy. ....so downbeat remains the best option overall IMO.

    thats a nice purple on mp toy shockwave....but it ain't g1 toy purple unless. its probably halfway (well maybe a little more toy) between toy purple and Fantoys OG release quakwave to be honest... also they made mp-42 a RED EYED autobot? aside from g1 jetfire...i think thats kinda rare (although i won't claim thats true!).

    typically i can't get excited for these legends scale stuff. they usaully make great sacrficies (in alt mode usually) to have a decent bot mode with decent articulation. that new skyfire is pretty sweet looking though. its alt mode is....like all this stuff (mostly anyway)...forgiveable.

    i kinda HATE the "+" variants, but dig the diaclone repaints. the diaclone ones are different enough and have a reason/history to exist IMO. diaclone/tvmovie screener magnus is the superior deco IMO. the + variants go with the totally toon deco/no detial direction of the line more recently (a trend i don't like that started with i guess...mp magnus or so) and represent something i don't like about the line...its decontenting IMO. also i coulnd't give a crap about targetmaster hotrod...he should have had it to begin with if they were going to give him one. that being said....if i didn't already own diaclone magnus or mp-10b i'd buy them at those prices. haha.

    lol and i thought i had a lot of 171s. i've got a few non CF (alto, rvf, and maruyama custom) but I have 3 CFs only...that was my "troop building". IIRC I got one of them from you? We met up once I think if i'm remembering correctly. you taking it to a whole other level there. i count a dozen CF versions!

    you know the frustrating thing about the legioss....its NOT a complicated design or transformation. It just hasn't been given enough love by the right design teams IMO. evolution toys effort while fairly well sculpted fell short because of lack of attention/sufficient engineering thought given to what i will call them....."functional and simple things that matter". fexthobby aka fanshobby....can't say i have any of their stuff yet but i think in general its well received. the upper tier 3P companies (even the non top tier ones!) can totally "handle" a legioss. i hope fanshobby/fexthobby pursues it. honestly, if i were them after doing all the mospeada versions...i'd do a slight retool and make it "look sentient" for their TF fans.

    thats good....have so many vaders already (SHF, BS, both Mafexes)...can this be the definitive one? Ragnarock Thor ...does his helmet come off? its a cool look but not as a "definitive" short hair version thor. haha. think the marvel legends 2 pack is the only one out.

    is the V2 vader any taller? that was my biggest complaint with the old one...too small. david prowse was 6'6"...he should tower over kenobi who was an even 6'. Oh and V1 hulkbuster just looks way cooler than the V2 for some reason... for hulk i still prefer the figma... what we really need is a decent short haired thor

    wow TBH this came out better than i expected even if it does take a while to get used to pastel coloring. its great! kind of regret not keeping my PO but i also kinda like have 6 bills more in the bank. happy for all you guys this release seems "worth it"! it really does make this mould pop. i don't trust myself enough with paints to do it myself either. lol. i only hope this release will fund/encourage arcadia to do a sdfm SDF-1 some day. i love dyrl but i didn't see it until almost high school (as clash of the bioniods no less ...the first time!) ...sdfm is the macross of my youth and i'd probably splurge to get it if it were made. Anyway glad they did this and that people seem to be enjoying theirs!
