    red comet, that looks pretty amazing. reminds me of the same style weathering yamato used to do but nicer if a bit heavier. congrats! i really want a focker release when they do get around to it. i think tracking down the hikaru dyrl vf-1s that i shouldnt have passed on is gonna be way spendy. gah. nevermind pandemic era shipping prices!

    i haven't handled my frontier era dx chogokins in a long time (they're back in their boxes and stored safely offsite from where i usually am). how are they holding up? wonder if it really needs those improvements. hmm

    we americans will change the way we do out dates when the world bails us out of WW3. until then 08/01/2020 is August 1st, 2020 when an american company is listing it's release dates. :-P in all seriousness its the most informative way because when you think of a date...you kinda know what year it is usually that you're talking about so year wouldn't come first....to get you to focus on the most pertinent information first...using the month tells you the most information about when something is happening relative to present year and then the actual day of the month is more specific if one is interested in that detail so it follows. the year is last just to reconfirm you're talking about the same damn year. it makes good sense!!!

    my guess is those are old photos. kuma had a preproduction sample that had all the changes. that photo looks to be completely the old mold.

    i'm not sure if its still true kuma, but IMO when warden was released it was the best build quality of any transformering transformers piece i've ever held. it just feels like a high end toy. that was years ago but i'm not sure its been surpassed by any transformers toy 3p or offical in terms of quality of feel. i sold mine off only to buy it again as well. i don't collect that scale and he doesn't really fit in with many guys but hes just really nice in hand. i never got the stilts...forget what they're called and have no idea where i'd find them these days. it does look aces though! the MMA piece is a shame...

    yeah wardog is a good piece. he isn't cartoon accurate proportions at all but thats fine. hes more chunky and mecha like....the shield...just leave int eh box other than to take a fwe cool pictures and when i pretend he isn't warpath. lpl.. i'd argue he doesn't really need it in alt mode that much either...i mean do we pick up our carbots and say hello to visible arms adn faces underneath? haha

    its not the old mold. i had that thing.....it was good for the time but this is more articulated for sure....jet mode is no better....probably worse.

    wow all this news..... i love this show. it had its bad episodes and awkward pacing in the middle but the news i'me seeing now is all positive. its the one show i look forward to most. i know its not the best show on tv/streaming but i don't care! rosario dawson as ashoka is a little odd for me. she will look the part but she is so recognizable that its hard to just not see her instead of ashoka. still a poistive. biehn being cast is great too! show is trying to being an epic nerdgasm.

    this is a fun topic, but i'm more apt to pick my favorites than whats actually "objectively" best and i'm heavily biased towards the SDFM/DYRL stuff but here goes Yamato: 1/48 Vf-1J Stealth - yeah, see they made tons of "better" toys but you couldn't pry this one away ever. too bad i never go tthe low vis or else that would be my favorite most likely. yes the 1/60 v2 is way way better overall, and the SDF-1 was their masterpiece IMO but yeah its hard with yamato!     so carbonized fett and stormtroopers....look cool, but i think way overdone? seemed a more subtle effect on the mandalorian (at least from photos i was never able to see one in person). also its weird seeing fett so shiny and the trooper so silver. want that beskar armor mando though even though i've not managed to track down the orignal one(s)

    if that happens i'll get an arcadia - even if arcadia's isn't a PF and the VF ones are "PF" like, i'd rather support arcadia and tell them we still want our VF-1 in all the colors of the canon rainbow and some non canon too (low vis from 1/48 scheme i'm looking at you!). Now if arcadia isn't releasing them then i'll probably pick up a couple CF and an angelbird KO. i'd rather not but $300 secondary market price on a yamato angelbrid from 10 plus years ago vs. $110ish to $130ish bucks for a KO....i gotta go KO if that is the choice. what i really want is for arcadia to release a VT-1 though.

    i had topspin as kid and i loved it! aside from the gimmick, the fun part was that the alt mode looked pretty damn cool and different also the box art made them look cool. i also like the chunky feet and lastly another flying autobot. naturally i bought this version as well even though i bought very few mainline toys at the time (but not the 3P one from several years ago)...i think its kind of not bad as well but quite one of the really good deluxes we've had recently. also i wish teh alt mode was a little more g1 as well as the feet. that being said i'm glad to have him in my collection (i got him at retail one day while in a target or duane reade...forget which). i do wish someone would do an MPish version of that character. twintwist on the other hand i never really liked (and didn't have) and thought he was just the less cool one of the two.

    i think the elbow area is black or blackish, also i think you said some of the wheels are black painted silver where the rims are if i'm not mistaken. anyway it seems obvious why those leg parts are not blue now. there were no new blue molded plastics so they used the colors they were shooting for most of the rest anyway (other than the red)...its likely in the same tooling as the rest of the grey parts on the toy. i forgot to ask, i assume the g1 trailer is not compatible with the ER prime right? i really hope toyhax comes out with a set for this guy that includes the trailer and the yellow parts on the figure.

    Mike, thanks a ton for the ER Prime review. It looks like a very nice figure but with many compromises - probably due to hitting price points at the level of quality expected. Some strange choices include the fact that they are clearly molding black plastic for portions of the figure so the tooling that contained those could have contained the parts for the ion rifle and the area of the trailer where the rear wheels are (or they could be dark blue like the support bars on teh g1 trailer were...nothing was grey underneath on the G1). also the yellow paint missing from the center crotch piece is kind of a "really hasbro?". the mix and match wheels (not matching) on the cab are disappointing, as is the totally grey drone thing....which should be dark blue or at least prime's leg blue. Also where do prime's inside lower legs go? does it need to be grey? seems like there is no reason for it to be grey...again....odd choices. i kind of think that we're gonna see an earthrise leader prime - netflix addition next year to coincide with the second season...because it seems those releases have $10 additioanl budget mainl for "deco ops" (deco operations i assume) and his one is handicapped by just a few deco missteps. either way i'm gonna get it and enjoy ir for a year before a better deco one comes out. lol. speaking of future releases... -ER Starscream....well he out but I haven't found him yet but i'm ordering him. -Netflix Mirage was preordered with the quickness by me. such a nice redeco of a mostly decent mold. -Runamuck.....is a MUST HAVE for me (something about evil decepticon cars i love)...got to think Runabout can't be far behind - maybe the wave after....hopefully it is retooled to have a different alt mode as they were different in G1 too. -Sky Lynx looks amazing and will probably get him, but not preordering him if i can control myself. short of MMC's, this is by far the best effort so far on that character. -Netflix hotlink - gonna grab that too. its a nice deco and i could use a tetrajet (haven't picked one up yet though i may pick up a TC on sale) -Netflix MAgnus Spoiler pack - interested in this, never picked up siege magnus (want him to go on sale dammit!) and this might be teh cooler version...also wonder if there will be an ER magnus with a g1 alt mode (my personal wishlist)..my only qualms are that the aftermarket kits might not color match well with a new version (though i suppose they might make anoether version if there is demand) -allicon....bot looks good but it looks very lazy design wise - probably skip unless i happen ona clearance -quintesson - probably will pick it up at some point though....does it transform? (g1 cartoon never had an alt mode) -arcee - not too bad for a mainline figure...i've changed my mind - its looks good enough that it'll probably be better than the old one...it does partsform badly though. sculpting here looks really good though - will probably cave and pick it up. scrapface - yeah not buying a reflector repaint thats just 1/3 a relfector. snapdragon - no attachment to this character but a robot that turns into a sort of an SR-71ish space jet and a dinosaurish thing..pretty cool - but i wonder if they will redeco it more appealing later...this g1 deco is just not great. had the same thoughts for kfc kingzilla but at that price wasn't willing to take teh plunge.

    i think anyone who cared bought an extra hall of armor and stuck revoltech's version in there. granted i have one and never stuck it in the hall. yeah i probably don't need the SHF one although i'll say it looks decent, but not a whole lot better (if any) than the old revoltech....i'm happy with what i got but i'm sure some missed it and would be happy to add this for completeness.

    sky lynx looks really good. up there with their jetfire release last year and maybe even better (well if you like sky lynx .... i'm so so on him but this is looking like a great toy). wonder how big it will be. yesterday i saw it being called commander class like jetfire (whose ovearll mass would not be large enough for a big skylynx), but today its ultimate? either way it needs to be more massive than jetfire was i think. . wonder how it wills scale with the potp predaking (Which is titan class), as they were seemingly arch enemies IIRC. if its too small to go with that, maybe i can make my feral rex relvant again by having them fight? haha

    ah you got a hookup at KC? nice. i didn't think it was released yet. how is it? way different than the VF-1S (Which felt like they tried very hard to copy yamato and then do their own thing but tolerances werent' great with some things to tight and some things too loose). this time it seems they've made some DX chogokin version like inspired design changes... agree with previous poster...that at least photos better than an HMR. i don't like the sculpting as much as yamato/arcadia or bandai but the pre applied panel lining is decent if not a big overwrought. does it have the "waist swivel"?

    the red one is so nice to look at. its ok to handle too. i'm gonna go out on a limb and say they are a tiny bit underrated by those here. i had an extra red one and kinda regret selling it (at very small profit) last year. anyway excited to see and handle the sentinel version. hopefully its a great toy. the evolution toys ones have a nice sculpt and more shelf presence than any other legioss. when i post them to IG they seem to do well in getting likes. lol i'm really looking forward to the new transformation changes on the sentinel though.
